Prologue

I was human, an ordinary one, without any power, without anything special but with a big mark and a weight on my back.

I was the alpha’s mate but he didn’t know it, I lived in his pack as the foster of a wolf family that found me when I was a baby, so small, so fragile, they were my parents.

I was about to turn nineteen, soon I would leave the pack although that was not my wish, I had become accustomed to the people here.
