Adella Arcos - POV

“Why are you smiling like an idiot in love?” Summer asked me, and this made me look up at her. “Please stop smiling, Ella. You look creepy.” Summer said with a look of apprehension on her face, and I smacked her shoulder for that. “Ouch! That hurts, Adella.” she retorted.

“Good, that was for calling your best friend a creep,” I told her, and she rolled her eyes at me.

“Are you going to tell more not?” she asked me again, and I nodded my head. I looked around the staff room to see that there was only one other teacher besides us. I moved my chair closer to Summer.

“My mate asked me out on a date tomorrow,” I told her, and this made a huge smile appear on her face.

“Congratulations, girl!” she said and pulled me into a side hug, and I awkwardly patted her back. “I told you he has already fallen in love with you,” she whispered, and I nodded my head. Earlier, when I came to school, I told everything that happened to my best friend.

“Do you think that he has forgiven me?” I nervously asked, and this made Summer pull away from me and glare at me.

“First of all, what is there to forgive, Adella? Mating is a natural instinct among werewolves, and you should just let it go.”

“But, we did that under the influence of…”

“Unless you have a burning desire for each other, those sorts of magic would not work,” she explained, I nodded my head, but I still felt guilty. “Anyway, what will you be wearing tomorrow?” she asked me, and I shuddered my shoulder.

“I guess I will wear a denim and a…”

“You are going out on a date with your very hot mate, don't try to scare him away.” she retorted, and it was my turn to glare at her. I will admit that my fashion sense is not up to Summer’s standards, but I guess I can still pull off a decent outfit. “I will help you replace something.” Summer said, and I nodded my head.

The rest of my day passed by with my mind filled with the thoughts of my date before it was nightfall. “Shall I pour some sauce into the spaghetti?” Summer yelled from my kitchen.

“Okay,” I yelled back before I folded the last dress, kept them all in my cupboard, and went to my kitchen. Since that incident with Beta Lanzo, Summer has volunteered to stay with me, and even though I told her that I could take care of myself, she wouldn't listen.

“How is this?” she asked me, and I licked the sauce from the spoon.

“It's okay,” I said, and this made her roll her eyes at me.

“I am not a pro cook like you.”

“I didn't judge,” I said, raising my hands up in surrender, and Summer shook her head before she got back to cooking. Dinner went by smoothly, and soon Summer and I got to bed since I had to get ready for a date tomorrow.

“Ella, wake up.” someone kept shaking my shoulder, disturbing my sleep. I pushed the hand away from me and snuggled back into my pillow. “Ella, you are getting late, wake up!” Summer literally yelled into my ear, which made me jolt awake, and I looked around my surroundings in alarm.

“What time is it?” I asked her while I scratched my eyes.

“It's six thirty, and we are getting late.” this made me stop what I was doing and stare at Summer in horror.

“We still have three and a half hours for Jose to come. Why on earth did you wake me up now?” I whined while she dragged me out of bed.

“We don't have much time, Ella. You need to look the best on your first date, and three hours is insufficient, according to me.” Summer said while I shook my head. “Now, go and take a bath while I get other things ready for you,” she said and pushed me into my washroom and closed the door.

I closed the lid of the toilet bowl and sat on it for a while before I began my morning routine. After taking a bath, I put on my bathrobe, wrapped my hair in a towel, and left the bathroom.

“Adella, come to have breakfast.”

“What are you making?”

“Oats,” she said and placed the bowl in front of me before she took a seat in front of me with her breakfast, and we began eating.

“Did you pick an outfit for me?” I asked her, and she nodded her head.

“You are going to love it,” she said, but I think I should have thought twice before I asked for her help to get ready.

“It's just a casual date, Summer. I don't think this is needed.” I told her while I was looking at myself in the mirror. She chose a lavender-colored halter neck frock for me, which had an open back.

“It's hot today, and this will be perfect,” she said, and when I was about to protest, she stared at me with a warning look, which shut me up. “Good, now go and wear those heels,” she said, and right then, I heard the doorbell.

“Sounds like your prince charming has come.” Summer said with glee before she left me in the room and went to answer the door. “Gamma Gomez, please come in.” I heard Summer’s overly cheery voice. I quickly grabbed my purse and left my room.

“Thank you, is Adella re...” he stopped midsentence when he saw me in the hallway. His eyes slightly darkened in desire while his eyes slowly roamed all over my body, making me squeeze my thigh.

“Here she is.” Summer said, but I know that none of us really paid attention to her. The temperature of the room increased a few notches while I heard my wolf howling in joy. Jose was wearing a simple black t-shirt and denim, but he looked drop-dead handsome in that.
