Adella Arcos - POV

“You know we can skip today’s training session and just go to the river, right?” Rachel asked me, but I shook my head.

“No matter how much you hate those training sessions, we have no say in that.” I tried to explain it to her, but all she did was huff and shut our link. Sometimes, it makes me wonder if I am in control of my life or my wolf. I quickly washed my plate and stacked it on the rack before I made my way to my room.

After changing into my workout clothes, I grabbed the bottle of water and exited my house. The atmosphere around me was chilly today, with a slight wind that was making all the dried leaves gather around in my little garden.

I just swept it this morning!

I was about to walk back inside and grab a rack, but then my watch rang, and I looked down to see that I only had five minutes to get to the training ground.

I guess, I will do this once I come back.

I literally ran to the training ground and managed to get there right on time since my house is not that far away from the training ground, unlike others. A female warrior walked towards our group with a permanent frown etched on her face and barked orders to run around the ground. “Move it, omega!” someone yelled and pushed me from behind, making me tackle and fall onto the ground.

A pair of shiny running shoes came into my view, and I looked up to see that it was Crystal and her friend. Both of them had a smirk on their face. My blood boiled in anger while Rachel was yelling at me to let her out, but I held back. “I am no longer an omega, Crystal.” I tried to explain, but she only shuddered her shoulder.

“I don't think you can ever change your birth position, Adella. No matter what you may think, for the rest of the pack, you are still an omega.” she sneered at me before she walked away. I sat on the ground and dusted my hands and looked around to see that I had acquired several audience.

“What the hell are you doing on the floor, Adella?” I looked behind to see the female warrior walking towards me furiously, which made me sprint up from the floor.

“Crystal pushed me, and I…”

“I don't want to hear all this nonsense. I have told you before, and I am going to tell you this again. You are not fit for this kind of training. You are an omega, Adella.” she spat at me while my hands formed into fists.

“I can do better than this. And I will prove it to you soon, madam.” I told her in my most polite tone before I left the training ground, I have had enough for today. I went back home and after a quick shower, I changed into a sundress, grabbed my bag and books, and walked to the pack’s primary school.

When I arrived at school, I noticed that the school was extra crowded today, which made me frown, when I reached the staff room, I noticed that it was packed with teachers and pack warriors, I looked around when I spotted my best friend, Summer. She was sitting at her usual table with her nose buried deep into a book.

“Summer?” I called and she looked up, and an immediate smile formed on her face.

“How did your training go today?” she asked me while I rolled my eyes. I placed my bag on my table and took a seat.

“Horrible, but I am not giving up just yet,” I told her.

“I think you should first enroll in a karate class or something which they have at the human town,” she told me, and I guess I might have to consider her advice. I took my textbook out and started browsing the chapter that I was supposed to be teaching today.

“I guess you are right. I don't think I can go in like this. Either that or I replace a warrior to train me.” I told her, but I didn't get any reply back, and when I looked at her, she had a mischievous smile on her face.

“If you want to train with a skilled warrior, then I don't think there is any need for you to go anywhere. You can learn at our pack.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Didn't you hear the news?” she asked me with an arched eyebrow, and I shook my head.

“Gamma Gomez is coming to our pack in a few days to train our warriors.”

“Who is he?” I asked her, and she gasped in shock like I just came out of hibernation.

“He is one of the most skilled Gamma on this side of the continent and one of the sexiest men I have ever seen.” she praised him like he was some sort of a Greek God while I shook my head.

“I think I will pass. I don't want to bring attention to myself.”

“Your loss,” she said and went back to reading her book.

“But why is it chaotic in here today?” I asked her.

“Well, everyone is busy making banners to welcome Gamma Gomez. So I guess the school will be like this for the next few days.”

“So should we conduct classes or not?” I asked her.

“The principal told us that we should conduct classes, but I don't think we will be having many students in class.” Summer told me, and right then, the bell rang, signaling the start of the day. I collected my maths books and left the staff room on my way to my first class.

When I arrived, I noticed that there were only ten or so students seated there. “Where are the rest of the students?” I asked one of them.

“Most of them are helping out in cleaning the pack house and everything, Miss.Arcos.”
