Adella Arcos - POV

I walked back outside my house and tried looking for someone, but no one was within my eyesight. I closed the door and walked back to the coffee table to see all the photos that were inside. The first picture was of the restaurant that we went to for breakfast the other day.

There were pictures of the mountains, the streets, and the various flower vendors at the roadside. The more pictures I browsed, the more a chill ran down my spine. Someone was spying on us when we were in that town. But what was the use of that?

“Could this be beta Lanzo?” Rachel asked me. Even though I desperately wanted to deny that fact, a part of me was telling me that it might be him. Most of the pictures were of the beautiful scenery in that town, but then it gradually began to have pictures of people.

I took the last picture from the box. It was a picture of a couple where the man was proposing to a woman in the same restaurant we went to, but the faces were blurred. I turned the picture around to see that something was written on the back.

We are living in a small world, and each and every one of us is connected in some way.

Aren't you curious to know who this lovely couple is?

I placed the picture on the coffee table before I took out another letter that was inside.

Meet me at the florist's place at seven in the evening, and I will give you the original picture.

I didn't know what to do. I know I should ask Summer’s opinion on this, but then, there was a part of me that said that I might have to deal with this issue alone. “What do you think, Rachel?” I asked my wolf.

“Maybe we should go and see what it is about. I mean, it can all just be a prank. I don't think it would be nice to bother Summer for no reason.”

“I guess you are right,” I said, collected all the pictures, placed them back in the box, and walked into my room. I placed the box in the bottom of the closet and locked my cupboard before I walked out of there.

That entire day, I felt like the time was running extra slow. I was preparing risotto for lunch when I texted Jose to see if we could meet up for coffee later.

Ping.

I walked to the table and took my phone to see that he had messaged.

I am so sorry I am postponing all your plans, but I had to come to my pack on an urgent business. - Jose.

That's all right. See you soon, then. - Adella.

I placed my phone back on the table and concentrated on my cooking. It was not easy to stay in my house any longer, so by four in the evening, I got dressed in my tracksuit pants and sweatshirt before I walked out of my house. I made my way to the town, which was getting crowded for the evening.

In a few hours, I will get to know what all this picture thing is about, and only then will I be able to relax and fall asleep tonight.

Gamma Jose Gomez - POV

I wanted to go and meet Elena right now, but I knew that it would only cause more issues. After having my dinner, I went to my room, took my phone from the side table, and left a quick text for Elena saying that I would be coming to her place for breakfast tomorrow before I went to bed. I woke up extra early today, and after taking a shower, I changed into a black -shirt and denim before I walked out of the house.

Ring ring.

I took my phone out of my pocket to see that it was Elena. “Hello?”

“Hey, I have prepared breakfast. When are you coming?” she asked me, and I looked at my watch.

“I will be there in an hour.”

“Sure, I will see you then,” she said before she disconnected the call. Unlike the many times I had driven to her place this time, I didn't feel the happiness nor the excitement of seeing her. My heart was filled with guilt and regret. If I had read this diary a long time ago, then I wouldn't have even fallen in love with Elena.

I briefly glanced at my phone to check if Adella had messaged, but there were still no messages. She did speak to me nicely yesterday, what happened now?

“Maybe Summer might have told her about your stupid decision,” Carlos said, and this made me roll my eyes.

“I don't think she told because she did promise that she would not be the person to tell Adella the truth,” I said, which made Carlos quiet again. For the rest of the car journey, I drove in silence till I reached Elena’s pack. When I arrived at her house, I saw the front door opening, and she came outside.

“Took you long enough,” Elena said when I got out of the car, and I only smiled at her and walked towards her. “I missed you so much, Jose,” she said and pulled me into a hug. Every fiber in my body was telling me to push her away, but I stayed that way for a few seconds before she finally let me go.

“Sorry to keep you waiting,” I said, and she shook her head before we walked into the house. When I arrived at the dining table, we took our seats, and Elena served everything that she prepared.

“How is the food?” she asked me halfway, and I nodded my head.

“It's good,” I replied when I saw her frown at me.

“You said you have to talk to me about something. What is it, Jose?” she asked me. I didn't look up at her for a couple of seconds when I finally looked her in the eye.

This was the moment everything was going to go downhill.
