Gina, And Her Triplet Alphas
Jasmine And Her Bullies – Chapter 35

third-person narrative

Jasmine slowly woke up from sleep. She rubbed her eyes before looking out the window. It was already afternoon as flickers of sunlight penetrated through the closed window and curtain.

She did not get why sleeping was the only thing she was good at these days, and no matter how much she slept, it always felt like it was not enough.

The last thing she remembered was Noah coming to the room to give her a pack of noodles that she had for dinner. While they both ate, Noah had tried apologizing for his actions and had promised her that he would never do anything that would hurt her again.

But she was already too tired and feeling sleepy even before she finished her noodles; she slept all through the night and morning and was only just waking up.

As usual, she was all by herself in the slightly dark room as the lights were off, so she stood up and went to turn them on.

On Noah’s table was a wrapped gift. It looked like a small gift box.

She walked close to it, and there was a note on top of it that had her name written on it, indicating that it was hers. She placed the note by the side of the box and unwrapped it.

There was a little red box inside, so she brought the box out and opened it, in it was a silver necklace with a heart-shaped pendant. It twinkled in the room’s light, and Jasmine smiled as she looked down at it.

Just then, the door opened, and Noah stepped into the room.

“You’re awake,” he said, surprised as he walked in to replace her standing there. He also had a glass of water in his hand.

“Yeah, I just woke up and found this,” she said, gesturing to the box with a smile on her face.

Noah walked over to her and handed her the glass of water. “Here,” he said, smiling at her, and she took it from him.

“Thank you,” she said.

She gulped down the whole glass before setting it down on the table.

“So, what is this for?” She asked him, with an eyebrow raised.

“Well, I got it while you were asleep; I wanted to give it to you myself; I didn’t know you would wake up so soon. I mean, I came in just a few moments to see that you were still sleeping,” Noah said, not looking her straight in the eye.

“So, you still haven’t told me what it is for,” Jasmine said with a smile hanging on her lips.

“It’s to apologize for everything that has happened and for what I did,” he said, paused, and continued.

“I didn’t mean to hurt you today. It’s just that I couldn’t control myself when I saw her. And I never once had the intention to hurt you, so I felt the need to apologize for my action,” he said in a calm, soothing voice.

Jasmine smiled as she looked at him. She walked away from where she was standing and went to sit on the bed.

“You don’t have to apologize, Noah. I already told you that I understood. It’s normal for you to feel the way you did because she’s your mate. Like I said before, I’ve also done something very similar to this, so I accept your apology,” Jasmine said.

Jasmine didn’t understand why she was so forgiving towards Noah after what had happened, but she figured that it had a lot to do with how remorseful he felt while apologizing to her.

“Thank you very much, Jasmine. You always replace a way to make me feel better, and I appreciate that.” Noah smiled as he sat down beside her.

“Where is she, by the way?” She asked, and Noah went silent for a while.

“She’s gone back to her pack,” he said, and Jasmine frowned.

“Why?” she questioned.

“Well, I rejected her, so she has to leave now, doesn’t she?” He replied, and Jasmine went quiet. “Honestly, you’re the only one that I love, Jasmine. I can’t see myself with anyone apart from you, not even my mate. I am willing to let go of everything and everyone to be with you,” Noah said while staring into her eyes.

Jasmine didn’t know what to say. She looked away from Noah and stared at the ground. He had made such a tough decision because of her, while she was yet to decide what she wanted for herself.

It made her feel bad, but she didn’t have any right to judge his decision.

“I understand, Noah. Thank you for the gift anyway. I’m really happy to get such a gift,” she said, her fingers caressing the necklace.

Just as Noah was about to say something back, his phone rang in his pocket.

“Please excuse me,” he said, and Jasmine nodded before he stood up and pulled his phone out of his pocket.

He walked to a corner of the room and put the phone in his ear. Jasmine couldn’t hear what the person on the other side was saying, nor could she hear what Noah was saying because he was talking softly.

Then, she noticed a change in his body language, and he looked back at her a few times, so she knew something was wrong or something had happened. She frowned and turned her body to face him, waiting for him to finish his call.

When he was done, he turned to her, and the look in his eyes made her even more worried. He walked back to the bed and sat down beside her.

“What’s wrong?” She asked, her voice showing concern.

He hesitated a while as if trying to figure out the best way to tell her what had happened.

“I just got a call from the school janitor. She said that your mates, Mia, and their parents were involved in an explosion, and one of the alphas is in critical condition,” he said sadly.

“I just got a call from the school janitor. She said that your mates, Mia, and their parents were involved in an explosion, and one of the alphas is in critical condition,” he said sadly.

Jasmine was taken aback by the news. That was not what she expected him to say in a million years. Her heart started to beat faster and louder.

How the hell had that happened?

Was Mia okay?

Were her mates okay?

So many questions were running through her mind that she had to take a deep breath to calm down her rage nerves. She didn’t know what to think. She wasn’t there for Mia at such a time that she would need her the most.

“I need to call Mia,” she said, standing up to look for her phone.

Jasmine dialed Mia’s number, but the call couldn’t go through. She tried about six more times, and the same thing happened. She was starting to get worried.

What if it was worse than they thought?

“Her number’s not going through,” she said to Noah, who was staring holes into her phone.

Thinking more about the situation, Jasmine started to wonder if it was her fault that they were involved in an explosion. She couldn’t help it; the thought kept gnawing away at her.

“What if it’s my fault?” She asked Noah, her voice shaky.

“Come on, don’t say that. We don’t know what happened, so we can’t say for sure. Don’t jump to conclusions until we hear what happened, okay?” He said that, and she nodded.

“How about we visit the hospital to check if they are all safe? It may not be as bad as you think. What do you think?” Noah suggested.

“Yes, please. That’ll be better,” Jasmine agreed, and Noah nodded his head.

“Let’s go,” Jasmine said, already leading the way.

She was about to walk out of the room when Noah pulled her close to himself. She was a little surprised as she stared into his eyes.

“Jasmine, I just want you to know that whatever happens, I love you and will always love you. Even when the world is against you, you are never alone. I love you; please don’t forget that, okay?” He said sweetly to Jasmine while holding her eyes intensely in his.

Jasmine, whose emotions were at the moment jungled up, couldn’t say a word but instead nodded her head in agreement while Noah pressed a k**s on her forehead.

They both left the house and made their way to Noah’s car, starting their journey to the Bloodhound Pack hospital.

The only thing Jasmine hoped for was that they were all right.
