Chapter 151 Mr. Humphrey Wants to See You

Very quickly, Jimena led Jeff up.

"Ms. Novak."

Jeff had followed Eric for twenty years, and when he spoke, his arrogant tone was just like Eric's.

Samara snorted, "Mr. Wright, I am flattered that you are here."

Eric had looked down on Samara in the past. Jeff had the same attitude. Although Samara's identity had changed and she was no longer the Samara she used to be, they were used to looking down on her. Now, their attitude toward Samara was not much

better than before.

Jeff was Eric's secretary. Samara had always respected him. This was the first time Samara spoke to him with such an attitude.

Jeff was a little dissatisfied, but when he thought of Eric's instructions, he endured it. "Ms. Novak, Mr. Humphrey wants to see you. Please come with me."

Samara looked at him and the smile on her face faded. "Mr. Wright is really arrogant. You come to my company and ask me to go with you." Jeff was stunned. He probably did not expect Samara to turn hostile. After a while, he came back to his senses. "Ms. Novak, I'm

sorry. I was wrong just now. Mr. Humphrey wants to see you. I hope you can come with me."

Samara glanced at Jimena, who was not far away. "Jimena, please help me see the guest out."

As soon as Samara finished speaking, Jimena came forward. "Mr. Wright, please."

Jeff's expression immediately turned ugly. "Ms. Novak, it was Mr. Humphrey who asked me to invite you."

"Oh, so Mr. Wright knows that you were sent by Mr. Humphrey to invite me?"

Samara smiled as she spoke, but there was no hint of a smile in her eyes as she looked at Jeff.

Jeff's face became red because of Samara's words. He had been by Eric's side for a long time, and many people respected him. This was the first time that he had been directly humiliated by someone. And this person was Samara, who had been looked down upon by the Humphrey family.

Jeff's face subconsciously turned cold. Just as he was about to scold Samara for not knowing what was good, his gaze fell on the desk in front of Samara, and Jeff suddenly realized something.

The current Samara was no longer the Samara of the past. She was now Kadin's daughter. And Kadin was the richest man in

Houston.

At the thought of this, Jeff's face froze. He seemed to want to say something, but Jimena didn't give him a chance to speak. "Mr. Wright, I think you don't want me to ask the security guards to come up, do you?"

When he heard Jimena's words, Jeff's face stiffened.

He glanced at Samara and turned to leave Samara's office with a gloomy face.

Jeff returned empty-handed and only felt flustered on the way.

Before he left, Eric repeatedly reminded him to sincerely invite Samara to the Humphrey's home. But he not only failed to do so but also offended Samara.

On the way back, Jeff's face became more and more gloomy.

Soon, the car stopped in front of the Humphrey's villa. The driver looked back at him. "Mr. Wright, we are here."

Jeff glanced out of the car window. This was the first time he had made a mistake after he worked for Eric.

The Humphrey family walked all over Samara in the past. Although Jeff had never bullied Samara, he had the same thoughts.

He also looked down on Samara.

Jeff thought that, in Chicago, many women liked to daydream like Samara, but Samara was lucky. Her dream had come true. Jeff sighed and pushed open the car door.

He had already made a mistake, and there was no other choice but to admit his mistake.
