Chapter 187 Give Her an Easy Way Out

When Jeff received Jimena's call, he couldn't believe his eyes. He took a closer look at the screen. And then, he realized that it

was indeed a phone call from Jimena. Jeff hurriedly answered the phone. "Hello, Ms. Caldwell. I'm Jeff,"

Jeff had learned his lessons last time. He was very polite to Samara and her staff now.

Jimena had a uniformly negative image of the members of the Humphrey family. But she had worked for Kadin for a long time. She was very polite to everyone. "Hello, Mr. Wright. I am Jimena, Ms. Novak's secretary. Ms. Novak wants to meet Mr. Humphrey. Is Mr. Humphrey free tonight?"

Jimena's words surprised Jeff. Jeff was shocked that Samara wanted to meet Eric. But Jeff couldn't answer Jimena immediately. "Ms. Caldwell, I have to check with Mr. Humphrey first. Can I call you later?" "Okay, thank you."

!!

After hanging up the phone, Jeff immediately went to replace Eric.

Eric slapped his thigh when he heard Jeff's words. Eric said, "I'll see her tonight. Why not?"

After that, Eric said with pride, "I told you so. Samara is very proud. Just give her an easy way out, and she will give in."

After meeting Camille, Eric changed his attitude toward Samara suddenly.

"Go and tell Samara's secretary that I'd be happy to have Samara here for dinner this evening."

Eric was also going to ask Chaim to come home for dinner. Then, Chaim and Samara could spend some time together. Eric hoped it would lead to romance. Not to mention that Samara was already in love with Chaim!

The more Eric thought about it, the happier he became, and the smile on his face increased.

Jeff was embarrassed. "Mr. Humphrey, I think what Ms. Caldwell means is that Ms. Novak wants to take you to dinner."

There was a big difference between having dinner together and buying dinner for someone!

Eric was stunned for a moment. Then he waved his hand. "It's fine. She's still young."

Since Samara was still angry, Eric wouldn't mind giving her another way out.

Jeff nodded and quickly called Jimena. Jimena followed Samara's instructions and said, "Mr. Wright, please tell Mr. Humphrey that there is some misunderstanding between Ms. Novak and Ms. Humphrey. So, Ms. Novak hopes that Ms. Humphrey could join them for dinner this evening. Ms. Novak wants to clear the air."

Jeff felt that something was wrong. But Jimena was nothing but polite.

Jeff had to nod. "Okay, Ms. Caldwell. I'll see you tonight."

"See you."

Jeff hung up the phone and brought Samara's words to Eric.

When Eric heard that, he was very happy. He thought that Samara was going to bury the hatchet. "That's right. They should clear it up! Gloria was mean to Samara in the past. Since Samara said so, I'll ask Gloria to apologize to Samara tonight! Go and tell Gloria not to go out!"

Jeff nodded. "Okay, Mr. Humphrey."

After that, Jeff turned around and went out to look for Gloria.

Gloria was at home at that time. She was happily browsing through the negative comments about Samara online. She even

registered a secret social media account and liked all those comments. A few moments later, she felt that it was not enough. So, Gloria paid someone and made one of the negative articles about Samara the trending topic.

Just as Gloria was happy about her revenge, she heard Jeff knocking on the door.

Feeling guilty, Gloria put down the tablet and ran over to open the door. "Mr. Wright, is Grandpa looking for me?"

"Ms. Humphrey, Mr. Humphrey said that there is a dinner party tonight. He wants you to go with him."

"Okay, I will!"

Gloria nodded. Just as she was about to close the door, she suddenly thought of something. She made a tsking sound. "Who is the host of the dinner party tonight? Why would Grandpa go to that party?" jeff looked up at Gloria. "It's Ms. Novak."
