Goodbye, My Ex... -
Chapter 4 I Made An Oath On The Day You Left
At this moment, Charles Hockley suddenly lifted steps, with long and straight legs, walked to the front of Rosemary Johnson. "What do you want to do?"
Ryan Johnson stared at the approaching stranger like a little adult, and he did not forget to hold on to Rosemary's hand tightly.
"Don't speak lout to my mommy!"
The stranger man's face was paralyzed and cold, as if he was about to eat his mommy.
"I have something to talk with your mother." While Charles was staring at Rosemary's face in front of him, he spoke to Ryan calmly.
As if thinking of something, he tilted his head to look back at Jack Lewis, saying with a cold voice as if frozen.
"Mr. Lewis won't mind, right?"
"Em..." Jack didn't know what to say for the moment.
Everyone in S City knew "Charles Hockley", who represented authority and power.
Jack Lewis, however, was a general manager of a promising yet growing commerce group, and he was not able to compete with Charles Hockley in the business world. "Of course not." keeping a gentleman's smile, Jack gave in.
"Great." Charles turned his face.
The man was 1.87 meters tall, and his whole body was permeated with a cold temperament. As he approached each step to Rosemary, she felt more and more nervous. She was so flustered that she wanted to lower her head, then he suddenly leaned down, and the cold and thin voice floated into her ears:
"Rosemary Johnson, do you know what kind of oath did I swear on the day you left?"
Rosemary's heart was shaken and trembled uncontrollably, she raised her head and saw his thin lips curl even larger.
However, as a small man, Ryan was trying to widen his big eyes to stare at the strange man. Seeing his seemingly intimate actions towards her mommy, he was upset. Was there anything that the strange man can't say out and loud, but need to talk ears to ears?
There must be something tricky!
Even if the strange man looked like him a lot, the good feeling he had disappeared totally!
"I swear, in my life, I don't want to see..." He tilted his head, his cold breath went straight to her beautiful cheek, "this face again!"
The voice of Charles was so low that only Rosemary herself could hear it.
When Rosemary was not out of astonishment and her heart still clattered, Charles had stood up straight, looked over her coldly, "I hope, this is the last time."
As the voice dropped, Janice quickly came over on her high heels, while calling "Charles".
Rosemary's attention was drawn
away by this affectionate call. When she came to her senses, Charles had already stridden away from her, heartless and ruthless with no
nostalgia.
"Rosemary, are you OK?" When she looked pale, Jack reached out and held her. He was gentle and concerned, "Do you know Charles Hockley?"
When he asked this, he was almost
sure that they knew each other. Because Charles was famous for his indifference in the business and political circles, and he would not say a word to unfamiliar people.
Who could make Charles speak in the ear in public, moreover, was a woman, there must be a relationship between them.
"What did he say?" Jack couldn't help asking.
"Nothing." She shook her head and
took a deep breath. Then she looked back at Ryan, who was touching his chin and looking at the back of Charles with a thoughtful look on his chubby face.
"Mommy, that strange uncle and I really looks alike!"
This issue was still on the mind of Ryan, and it was obvious that there were some connections between this strange uncle and his mommy.
"Shouldn't he be my father?" He expressed his deep confusion.
"Ryan!" Rosemary stopped her child's words.
Facing Jack's slightly suspicious gaze, she pretended to to be relaxed with a light smile, "Jack, it's not what you think."
Late at night, the royal blue BMW SUV slowly stopped at the front gate of Johnson family's house.
