Chapter 7 Naturally Close To Each Other
The gynecologist recognized Celia and was somewhat shocked to see her walk. in. However, she proceeded with the examination as requested by Dominic.
Celia cooperated throughout the entire process. After the examination, Dominic went with the doctor to obtain the report.
At that moment, Celia’s attention was drawn to a pair of eyes staring at her. She spotted Grace in the waiting room, holding a report.
Celia’s keen eyes spotted the words “pregnancy report” on the file cover.
“Is Grace pregnant as well?” Celia thought, a jumble of emotions bubbling to the surface.
Grace had made a good recovery after her surgery. Although her face still bore a pale complexion, it looked much better than before, reflecting a sense of happiness.
“What a coincidence running into each other here,” Celia remarked casually.
Grace suddenly became defensive and covered her belly. “Celia, please give Dominic back to me, she pleaded..
Celia sarcastically grinned and glanced at Grace’s belly, asking, “You’re pregnant?”
Grace nodded hesitantly, her face flushed with embarrassment.
Celia chuckled as she looked Grace up and down, saying, “Dominic is so impatient. How could he have sex with you when you’re in such a physical. condition? Aren’t you afraid of not being able to handle it?”
Grace bit her lip and apologized, saying, “I’m sorry, I know about you and
Dominic…
“Don’t worry, I have no feelings for him,” Celia said, dismissing her concerns. I don’t care about him anymore now that we’re divorced.”
Grace’s face lit up with joy, but Celia remained indifferent.
Suddenly, Celia heard footsteps approaching from behind and sensed a strong presence. She immediately recognized who it was.
“How did it go?” Celia asked, raising her head to meet Dominic’s deep gaze.
Dominic continued to gaze at Celia, his eyes revealing a mix of disappointment.

and happiness. “You’re healthy, not pregnant,” he replied.
Celia reasoned that he must be happy about the result.
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave,” Celia said, turning to leave.
Dominic looked at the report in Grace’s hand after Celia had left and asked, “What’s this?”
“I picked it up for my friend,” Grace hurriedly explained.
Dominic didn’t press the matter and instead offered a casual “Hmm, before adding, “You better not wander around anymore, given your health condition.”
Grace obediently nodded. She couldn’t help but look in the direction Celia had. gone and asked Dominic, “If Celia gets pregnant, will you marry her?”
“No,” Dominic replied, his gaze profound. “I won’t marry anyone from the Burton family.”
Grace was a little relieved, but she kept her guard up. She was dead set on making Celia disappear from this world.
Celia went to a quiet place and sent Ryan a message applauding him on a job well done.
Celia had told Ryan to change the report results before she went to the exam with Dominic.
“Boss, are you really pregnant? And Dawson is the father?” Ryan let out a startled yell.
Celia gently placed her hand on her stomach, her gaze simultaneously cold and tender. She had always desired to have a child, but she never expected Dominic to be the father.
She accepted the fact that she was expecting a child, but she kept that secret from Dominic.
Leaving Osilfield was the only option she saw for protecting the secret.
After some deliberation, she reached for her phone and made a call.
“Yes, Vivian, I’ll take you up on that offer to work abroad. I can participate in that project.”

Six years later, at the airport.
“Come on, Mom! Aunt Chelsea has been waiting for us for so long, urged a little. girl in a pink dress, her eyes gleaming like glass and a joyful smile on her face.
The woman following behind her leisurely removed her sunglasses, revealing at delicate and breathtakingly beautiful face. Her slightly lowered eyelids conveyed a sense of nonchalance yet emitted a lazy and enigmatic aura.
“I heard you, you little monster,” Celia yawned and dragged her two suitcases. along lazily as she replied, “Stop rushing me.
Celia frowned as she noticed a crowd forming nearby and decided to take a detour. But, because her daughter had gone straight there after noticing the commotion, Celia had to catch up quickly.
Unexpectedly, she picked up on a familiar, deep voice.
To her astonishment, she accidentally overheard a familiar deep voice saying. “I currently have no plans to get married.”
Celia stopped in her tracks and shifted her gaze towards the crowd, where she spotted Dominic at the center.
As CEO of the Dawson Group, Dominic had made a name for himself in the industry and became the media’s focus.
Celia had heard a few things about him, even though she never deliberately asked about it.
During this time, the Dawson Group was thriving, and Dominic and Grace were head over heels in love and even had two kids together, which made the media constantly speculate about their impending marriage.
Today, the reporters continued to persistently probe him on this matter. Dominic frowned when questioned for the millionth time.
Someone in the crowd then asked, “Mr. Dawson, there have been rumors that you were secretly married to a woman and have been divorced, is this true?”
Celia chuckled After all this time, she was surprised that anyone remembered his ex–wife.
Celia had expected Dóminic to remain silent, but to her surprise, he responded. with a barely audible “Yes.”
Although his reply was quiet, the reporters present keenly picked up on it.

Celia, of course, also heard that. She was shocked as she had anticipated an outright denial from Dominic.
Suddenly, there was a wave of panic in the crowd, with concerned voices exclaiming, “Oh no, be careful, little one!” and “How did a child get in here? Watch out, don’t step on her!”
“Don’t push me, everyone! Just hold on!”
A child’s cries, which Celia was familiar with, were accompanied by the sound of camera equipment falling to the ground.
Instantly, her attention turned towards Dominic, and to her astonishment, he was gently bending down, cradling a child in his arms. The unexpected revelation struck her deeply as she realized that the child was none other than her own daughter, Tammy Burton.
Celia couldn’t believe her eyes. She hadn’t expected Tammy to encounter Dominic in such a coincidental and dramatic manner.
“Oh, it was terrifying!” Tammy’s eyes welled up with tears, clearly scared by the incident.
“Are you alright?” Dominic tightly hugged the child, carefully checking on her.
Tammy shook her head, saying, “I’m fine now. I was just scared a little while ago. But now that you’re holding me, I don’t feel afraid anymore.”
“How did a child manage to get in here?” Dominic said coldly, looking at the people around him. “You weren’t paying attention, were you? Who would be held accountable if something happened to her?”
“We… we didn’t notice…”
“Mr. Dawson, please forgive us…
All the reporters and security personnel bowed their heads in shame, as they had no idea how the girl child had slipped into the crowd.
Celia felt awkward and speechless because she knew Tammy always loved to stop to talk to all the handsome men she had met.
“I wonder if she even knows who this man is,” Celia silently wondered.
Except for Celia, no one noticed Tammy’s sly glint in her eyes. Everyone was looking at Dominic, who was tenderly protecting the little girl.

“Mr. Dawson is holding the child so firmly! He’s so kind!”
“It is clear from his behavior toward other children that he genuinely care about his own child.”
The crowd showered Dominic with flattering praise. He paid no attention and simply lowered his head to look at the girl, asking. “Where is your family?”
He wasn’t particularly fond of children, but he found himself unable to turn his back on this little girl.
It seemed natural for them to be close to each other.
