Lindsey felt a surge of emotion.

Domenic’s joy was evident.

With her in his embrace, Domenic looked into her eyes and inquired, “Are you suggesting we can continue this at home? Since you have dropped the hint, I won’t disappoint you tonight.

“Domenic!” Lindsey blushed and feeling embarrassed, she quickly stepped away from his embrace and walked ahead with determined strides.

Domenic’s laughter echoed behind her as he followed.

They hailed a cab to Selah’s apartment.

Domenic decided it wasn’t right for him to go up.

He handed Elaine to Lindsey, choosing to wait downstairs.

Selah had been back at her place for about thirty minutes.

She was greeted by the sound of the doorbell and opened it to replace Lindsey holding a sleeping Elaine in her arms.

Selah immediately reached out to gently take Elaine from her.

“Did Elaine give you a hard time today?” Selah asked worriedly.

“No, not at all.

Elaine’s a sweetheart.

We enjoyed our day together.

She even mentioned she wants to go out with me again!”

Hearing this, Selah was taken aback.

In the past, Elaine had been quite distant from everyone except her.

She hadn’t expected that Elaine would grow fond of Lindsey.

But then again, Lindsey was intelligent and kind-hearted, so it made sense that Elaine would be fond of her.

Selah carefully tucked Elaine into bed and settled down on the living room sofa with Lindsey.
