Heartbreak Brings Mr. Right -
Chapter 345
“Selah’s presence or absence doesn’t matter.
I’m eager to witness Kristy perform with Nicolas!”
“Selah might humiliate herself.
Kristy is a top graduate of Skiyton Film Academy.
How could she lose against Selah?”
“Alas, both of them are winners of Best Actress, but why the gap between them is so big?”
Amidst this, Lindsey hurriedly headed to the park in a taxi, alarmed by the trending topics online.
“Please, drive faster,” she pleaded with the driver.
In the park, Selah still crouched on the ground, trembling.
Ruby, unable to watch further, approached and rested her hand on Selah’s quivering shoulder.
“Selah, rise.
If it’s too much, we can leave.
”
Selah shook her head.
“No, I can’t go back like this…”
“Mommy!” A child’s voice jolted Selah momentarily.
Looking up, she saw Elaine dashing toward her, masked and hatted.
Lindsey had brought her!
Elaine embraced Selah, gazing up with her wide eyes.
“Mommy, don’t fear.
I’m here! Anut Lindsey said you were once awesome and formidable.
I hope you reclaim that strength.
I’ll always support you!”
Selah felt a glimmer of warmth in her desolate heart for a fleeting moment.
The darkness faded, a ray of light piercing through, dispelling the lingering fear and gloom.
An unseen force lifted her from the abyss.
She looked gratefully at Lindsey.
Since giving birth to Elaine, Selah had never danced.
She only showed Elaine her vulnerable side.
She had to exemplify strength, proving to Elaine that adversity could be overcome with resilience.
“Elaine, would you like to see me dance?” Selah locked eyes with her daughter.
Elaine nodded eagerly.
“Yes, Mommy! You’ll be the most splendid dancer!”
A fire ignited within Selah’s eyes.
She smiled.
“Alright.
”
With determination, Selah rose, turning to face the crowd.
“Selah, we love you!” the crowd cheered as Selah glanced back at them.
Their excitement was palpable.
Selah offered them a warm smile, her voice gentle yet confident.
“Your support means everything.
I’d like to dance for you today.
Your loyalty over the years has shaped me into who I am,” she expressed her gratitude.
