"From now on, you're staying close to me after work. If anything happened to you, how could I face Jared?"

Agnes knew that Mamie was genuinely worried about her

When the doctor was treating her wounds earlier, Agnes didn't feel anything, but Mamie was holding her hand so tightly it hurt more than the wound.

When Agnes looked up, she noticed Mamie's eyes were red. Mamie caught her gaze and gently scolded her

Agnes said to Mamie, "You go back and rest first, you've really been troubled today
