Agnes brought the rings for the couple.

Mamie and Ivan exchanged diamond bands and sealed their vows with a kiss.

Everything was as enchanting as a storybook romance.

Mamie was heavily pregnant and had been holding up for quite some time.

After the ceremony, she retired to the lounge to rest.

Agnes returned to her seat.

Her place was at the head table. But today, the Bartley clan was conspicuously absent.

Instead, it was a crowd of Ivan and Mamie's friends. Even Brayden had shown up.

But sitting next to Brayden wasn't Kerri; it was Maisie.

To tell the truth, it was Agnes' first time meeting Maisie.

She seemed aloof and silent, not uttering a word from start to finish.

There was no interaction between her and Brayden either.

Agnes knew most of the others at the table.

Shawn was still the same boisterous playboy, but now there was a woman by his side. Although dressed in an evening gown, she sat with impeccable posture, all business. Turned out she was a cop, Shawn told everyone with a grin.

The table cracked jokes that finally someone could keep Shawn's wild ways in check.

"If he steps out of line, just slap on the handcuffs," they teased.

Shawn was clearly smitten, reining in his arrogance when trying to impress her, almost like he was a changed man.

However, his true colors showed when he interacted with the rest. Especially when he saw Agnes approach, he pulled her next to Jared, acting like they were close to each other. Agnes wasn't supposed to be at this table, but Shawn's antics had left her no escape.

Brayden seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the show from the sidelines. So did everyone else.

Jared just drank, his eyes clear and focused.

Agnes knew he could hold his liquor.

Shawn poured Agnes a drink, "Agnes, it's been ages since we caught up. You haven't aged a day - time sure is kind to beauties. For that alone, we've got to toast." Shawn had a way with words when it came to toasting.

Agnes knew better than to drink much, but she couldn't resist his relentless charm.

Eventually, she caved and took a sip.

After that, Agnes' demeanor shifted. She seemed to let loose.

She settled down at the table, chatting and laughing with everyone.

Agnes was still lucid, just a bit more exuberant.

With the bride and groom away, the emcee took to the stage to hype up the crowd.

The groomsmen were the main attraction.

All twenty were entertainment industry stars.

Any one of them could steal the spotlight.

The emcee playfully challenged the groomsmen to invite the bridesmaid for a dance.

Since there was only one bridesmaid, she would have to pick the winner.

The atmosphere was electric.

One by one, the groomsmen approached Agnes' table.

Emboldened by the alcohol, Agnes was feeling the buzz too. She took to the stage without hesitation.

The music kicked in, and the stage was a whirl of dancers.

The lively tap dance tune played on, but no one followed the beat.

The twenty men preened like peacocks vying for Agnes' attention, each showing off their moves.

Being celebrities, their every gesture was captivating.

The crowd gathered around the stage, including the reporters invited to cover the event. They were all there to capture the moment. Agnes, surrounded by twenty dashing men, danced freely.

The vibe was joyful and lively, and with those handsome faces around her, Agnes became the envy of every woman present.
