Chapter 55

DELSANRA

The following day, we found out that. Chris had gone back to the pack. Maria had heard some of what had happened and told Chris to head home. Raihana had avoided Rayhan like the plague, and due to that, I didn’t get to see her much. Rayhan had taught me how to use the phone he had gotten me, so I was able to text her and she texted back so frequently that it kind of felt like she was right here anyway and she would text me to come to her room to get ready.

She made sure I was all dolled up for every event, and when I wasn’t with Rayhan, she was next to me like a protective sister, keeping me away from all the she-wolves who were giving me looks. One thing that was no secret was that Rayhan was very sought after. On the day of the wedding, Rayhan had managed to pull Raihana into his arms, hugging her and apologizing for his behavior.

After a good scolding, she had forgiven him, telling him it wasn’t her he needed to apologize to. I knew it threw him to realise his sister may have feelings for his friend, but he had simply nodded. There had been one occasion where I had seen my nails change, during s*x, and I knew from the way Rayhan looked at me that he noticed the change too.

He didn’t seem bothered by it, but it scared me, there was something wrong with me. There was also a time when I could hear a conversation that he couldn’t, another thing that piqued my curiosity.

Why was my hearing so heightened? We had returned last night and headed straight to bed. Today was the first day back home, in the privacy of the Rossi palace, as I liked to call it. The first time we would be alone completely as a family and the day that Rayhan is going to tell his dad about me.

I was beyond nervous; I had barely been able to eat breakfast, and although everyone was talking, I couldn’t really focus. Alpha Rafael had told Rayhan to show me around the pack. Rayhan had wanted to do it anyway, so we set out soon after breakfast and he introduced me to some of the pack members we passed, who were very welcoming and polite.

He showed me the training grounds, the library, the hospital, the gym, the playground, the pool, the apartments, some of the houses from outside, and so on. It was like a mini village. We hadn’t even covered it all, yet we had been on the go for over three hours. So many people wanted to meet me.

I was offered a number of treats and gifts. Rayhan got someone to take the stuff back home for us. The love was overwhelming, and it scared me that it was all too good to be true … to last … will these same people who were looking at me with excitement and adoration change their minds when my truth came out? Raihana had accompanied us as well, and we were now heading to the packhouse where most single wolves who didn’t have their own places lived. We went through a side entrance that went straight to the Alpha’s work office. Knocking on the door, I looked at Raihana, who gave me a small smile.

” Come on in. ” Alpha Rafael’s voice came. ” It’s going to be ok. ” Rayhan said, k!ssing my l!ps as Raihana led the way inside. ” Ah, have you three been around the pack grounds? Tell me, Ana, how did you replace it? ” He asked, smiling warmly. ” It’s lovely, everyone’s so welcoming and sweet. ” I replied, tugging on the three-quarter sleeves of my top.

Rayhan took a seat and pulled me onto his lap, Raihana smirked, taking the other seat. My cheeks burned, his dad was right there! But after the teasing we got from his cousin and dad about disappearing from the party the other night, I think I should be used to it. ” And they should be. Everyone is so happy Rayhan has found his Luna, and such a lovely, down–to–earth young woman at that! ” ” You mean most are happy, so many girls are probably crying. ” Raihana remarked.

I felt a flair of possessiveness and leaned into my Alpha, wrapping my arm around his broad shoulders, making Rayhan smirk in satisfaction whilst his father chuckled. ” Well, that is bound to happen, but they will learn to love their Luna too. ” He said. I doubted that, but it was fine. ” Well, there’s something we need to tell you. ” Rayhan said, car*ssing my waist. ” What is it? ” Alpha Rafael asked concerned, as he rested his elbows on the table.

” I know about Raihana. ” Rayhan started. His father’s smile vanished, he looked at his son and sighed heavily. ” I see … I wanted to tell you anyway. I’m assuming Ana knows too? Your mother mentioned that Ana told her that not all witches are bad. ” He smiled at me, and I looked at Rayhan, who gave me a small nod. I had told him I wanted to tell his father myself. ” Well … Raihana may not be the only witch in this pack. My name is Delsanra Diana Silver, and I am a witch. ” I said, my heart thundering despite my voice being steadfast.

He looked at me in shock, before realization seemed to settle. ” Delsanra … the witch who ” Yes, the one Endora and the rogues kept captive, the one I thought died that day ….

Rayhan said, the pain in his voice so obvious despite doing his best to mask it. Ever since he had marked me, the emotions I felt from him were so much stronger than my usual witch senses picked up before.

Alpha Rafael stood up and walked around the desk. His heart was racing and the frown on his face made me nervous, but there was no anger or confusion from him. Simply sadness, guilt, and understanding. He perched at the edge of his desk and reached over, taking my hands and giving me a sad smile. ” I have heard from Marcel about your treatment …

He often felt guilty for not being able to stop it. Endora – our mother – had him under her control most of the time. Unlike me, he isn’t immune to spells that influence the mind. I am sorry, for everything our mother put you through. As her son, I know my apology is nothing compared to what you have been through. He gave my hands a gentle squeeze and I felt my chest tighten with the emotions that filled the room. Mine, Rayhan’s, Raihana’s, and Alpha Rafael’s.

He didn’t need to apologize to me for something he never even did, but here he was doing it anyway, and I could feel the sincerity and pain from within him. ” I know an apology won’t take away that trauma, abuse, or nightmares, but know that I will always be here for you if you ever need me. Welcome to the family, Delsanra. ” I struggled to fight back the tears that were welling in my eyes. How was I so lucky to have found such an amazing pack? I nodded, braving myself to speak.

” Thank you, Alpha. ” I hope you start seeing me as more than just the Alpha, one day I will hold hope that you will call me dad. ” He said, his smile wrinkling the edge of his eyes, tugging me off Rayhan’s lap as he stood up. I looked up at him, and for the first time in my life, I felt like I had a parent. I couldn’t explain the feelings inside of me, but the warmth, love, and promise that held nothing but truth and sincerity made the tears spill. ” Papa Raf. ” I whispered as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders tightly. I locked my arms around his waist, feeling the tears streaming down my cheeks. ” Perfect.

” His warm reply came. No one had ever wanted me. My biological father didn’t want me. No adult wanted anything to do with me. I was just a reject, an omen, bad luck … That sudden thought, made my heart thunder. What if I brought ill will to these people? No … I wouldn’t, I was not evil. He massaged my back gently, and I realised it was the first time I was getting a hug from a caring elder.

I moved away and he placed his hand on my shoulders, giving me a gentle smile. ” Now that’s better. I always wanted another daughter! ” He reached behind me and picked up a tissue. I took it, thanking him, before Rayhan gripped my waist, tugging me back onto his muscular thigh. Raihana sniffed, fanning her face.

” Guys, seriously, you lot are getting me emotional! ” She exclaimed. ” I’m surprised you’re not jealous about sharing dad. ” Rayhan teased her, and she rolled her eyes. ” We can all agree that Dad has enough love in him to share with the entire country. ” She said, despite standing up and giving her dad a hug, a pout on her face.

We all ended up laughing whilst Raihana rolled her eyes. ” Hey, I am not jealous! ” Mhmm, I’m sure. ” Rayhan mocked her before looking at me. I smiled at him, and he wiped a stray tear away, cupping my cheek and k!ssing me softly. I hugged him tightly, closing my eyes. I would be the best daughter, mate, and sister to them all. I may be considered darkness by most, but I had a heart, a heart that had love to give and yearned to receive. This was my family, and I will always protect them.

” Ok, so now that I know about Delsanra’s truth, I think we need to do something about your mother … We will tell her about Raihana first. ” Papa Raf said. Raihana scrunched her nose. ” Sounds like a plan, I’m tired of hiding. ” She said. ” Dad! You need to let Del and I study the grimoires. You know, learning to control our abilities is important. ” She is right. ” I added. ” I’m sure you all have been studying the books you stole from my vault. ”

He replied nonchalantly, making his children look at him sharply. He raised an eyebrow. ” I think it’s time I reminded you all, that I am the first Rossi … as you and Al love to proclaim. ” He said with amusement looking at Rayhan.

” Wow … ” Raihana murmured, whilst Rayhan just seemed surprised. ” I saw Raihana and Chris break into that vault … I have hidden cameras, but I thought to let it be … ” ” Umm … ” Raihana just looked floored. ” Actually, that was because Delsanra was kidnapped and I had to break into the coven of England, I asked Raihana to help. ” Rayhan said, seriously looking at his father, who appeared shocked.

It seemed the first Rossi wasn’t expecting that, and I suppressed a giggle. ” That … that was risky, and you didn’t think to inform me? Rayhan! ” ” Dad, chill. I’m fine. Besides, we’re out.

Uncle Al also knows about her. ” And how did he react? ” He was fine. Says maybe this is what I need to do … to fix this conflict between our kind … ” Despite his words, I could sense the struggle he was feeling. ” Fix the conflict? ” I asked. ” I don’t know about that, but above all, I need to guarantee your safety .

Secondly, every single witch or werewolf who has hurt shall pay. ” His voice was iced you: cold, his dad looked at him with concern but said nothing. ” You girls can use the underground training ground for practice. You have found your Luna. ” Papa Raf asked Rayhan . ” ” Not yet … If you want me to run the pack, I will do it unofficially. ” Rayhan replied. There’s some stuff I need to take care of first.

” Perfect. ” His dad replied with a nod. I knew it was because of me, I didn’t want to be Luna until the pack knew my reality … The men fell silent, but I could tell they were mind–linking. Rafael smiled and gave a nod to Rayhan, who stood up, his hands leaving my waist as he stretched, a move that made my core throb as he teasingly showed off the bottom of his stomach and that perfect V that showed off his well-groomed pepper of hair that dipped into the belt of his jeans …. I looked away quickly, not wanting anyone to catch me drinking up how gorgeous my mate was.

” Shall we get going? ” He asked me, smirking c**kily, I knew he had caught me. ” Yes, unless you want to stay here for the entire day? Go ahead, I’ll head back with Raihana. ” I stated, trying not to show my embarrassment, spinning around and walking to the door. He chuckled as he followed, ” I’ll drop you off home before I head out to handle something. ” I nodded, smiling when he leaned over and opened the door for me. I smiled up at him, leading the way out .

RAYHAN

After walking Delsanra home and knowing Raihana would keep her company, I decided to go talk to Chris …

I hadn’t seen him since everything, and it felt weird. We had never ever argued like this, and he didn’t even defend himself against me. If I could forgive Raihana, then there was no reason why I shouldn’t do the same for Chris. I found out he was in one of the gyms working out, and I was glad it was empty. He was working out on one of the lifting machines,

I walked over, pulling off my own top. I did a few stretches before sitting down at the one next to him. Lying back, I gripped the weights and began doing my own lifts. Neither of us spoke, and for a moment, it just felt like old times working out together. Although I had been away for a few years for my Alpha training, we had stayed in touch, and whenever I was back for a visit, it was like I had never left. ” Why Raihana? ” I asked suddenly, without even thinking.

He paused, mid-lift, before carrying on. ” I don’t want broken bones again, so I’m not going to answer that. ” His c**ky reply came. I turned my head towards him, my eyes flashing in annoyance. ” Did you forget who she was? ” I asked. ” For a moment, yeah …. ” His reply was quiet. ” What you did was wrong. You were told to guard her … not to cross certain lines.

” I said, now sitting up. He did the same, turning and looking at me, unwrapping the bandages he had wrapped around his hands. ” I know that, although you may not have heard, I f*cking stopped. It was hard, but I did it when I realized what I was doing. ” He said quietly. ” She was angry and she- ” He frowned deeply as I looked up at him.

” Care to share? ” ” She basically was pissed off with me and we were arguing … Then yeah, shit happened. I lost control and she’s no angel . ”. ” He said, clearly not wanting to tell me exactly what happened, whatever it was that he was hiding, he was covering for Raihana. Yeah, I know that . Heck, Ri … It took two, even I know that … ” I get that. But she is not one of your one-night funs, Chris. She can’t be. ” I said quietly.

” Yeah, I know. She’ll probably replace her mate at the next mating ceremony or some sh*t. ” He muttered. Was he actually affected by that? I mean, he didn’t care if a she-wolf found her mate. ” Probably. Are you going to attend the next one? ” No. ” He said quietly, looking at his hands. ” Happy with your one-nighters? ” I remarked.

He gave me a cold glare, his piercing green eyes meeting mine. ” Those don’t really seem so f*cking appealing anymore. ” He muttered. Those words surprised me, but I wondered if there was more to it with Raihana. Was it wrong to restrict them if that was the case? I guess I’ll keep an eye on them … If there was more to it and they wanted to pursue it, I wouldn’t stand in their way. Chris never did relationships, and if Raihana meant more to him, then who was I to stop them? I just didn’t want him hurt, if the b***d moon came and

Raihana found her mate … Nor did I want him to hurt her … ” I’m sorry for hitting you, I shouldn’t have lost it. ” I said, looking him directly in the eye. ” Yeah, you shouldn’t have. It was a d*ck move but I don’t blame you, man. ” Chris said, giving me a smirk. ” She is your sister, after all. ‘ ” Yeah. ” I said, giving him a small smile.

I was glad we’d sorted our crap out. ” Tonight, we need to meet the girls and have a movie night or something. Del might like it too. ” Yeah … If it’s ok, mind if I call Raihana? She and Delsanra are getting pretty close. ” ” That’s your call, and if she wants to, I don’t have an issue with it. ” He said. I didn’t reply, lying back down on the bench. Yeah, I’ll ask her … I wasn’t going to let my ego get in the way of ruining any of my relationship.
