Her Forever
(Book 5)- Chapter 66

Trinity

Things could not get any better. I had my mom and my real dad who has been more of a father than what’s-his-face ever was. That’s right, I promised myself I would never say his name again. He was a worthless step-father and a terrible husband to my mother. For the first time, I could see the pleasure glisten in her eyes. They had become so bright with in just a few days of having Folen back in her life.

She looked just a little older than me, but not by much. Our facial features were the same, along with our dusting of freckles on our cheeks. Dad had been coddling her ever since she woke up and, for the best part, he was happy to have me in his life. I think we will get a long great with each other for years to come. We certainly have some catching up to do.

After handing Josiah his a*s, I went to my mom to console her. She kept telling me over and over it was alright, that she was just trying to keep me trained since it was technically in my b***d. She just hated b***d. Seth stood over Josiah, who continued to sputter spit and b***d across the ground. He wasn’t healing well, probably because his own venom had silver laced with it and it was invading his body.

The ultimate decision was to have him be a punching bag for the warriors. Then he would be disposed of properly. Josiah had it coming. Pretty boy deserved everything he got. He even screamed like a little girl as Marco grabbed him by his wrists, breaking them, dragging him back down to his cell.

Bohdi had rested most of the morning, with Spencer by her side. She was moving around by late evening. She could conjure one more spell before she completely blacked out for the night, bring back all the children along with Lenhi. Even with everyone fighting all day and most of the night, Lenhi was as tired as we were. The children were restless, running around all over the place where they were sent, which was an enormous hotel with an indoor water park. Shifter children don’t get tired easy and Lenhi looked like she needed a nap or maybe hibernate?

Big Paw rushed to her as soon as he saw her, holding her as well as their son. Lenhi stomped her foot and said she couldn’t take it anymore, that her son’s name needed to be announced. Big Paw was reluctant but the big doe eyes Linhi gave him made him crack. Instead of waiting for a full moon, because life was precious and sometimes traditions needed to be broken, they announced the name of the sweet baby. Ansel, meaning protector.

The entire pack house, along with the outside, looked normal. The b***d had been washed away, the burning embers of the bodies were completely disintegrated, and no horrible smell lingered. All that was left were many vehicles that sat unattended. Seth and Sadie mentioned taking some back to have at the portal so there were more vehicles for warriors. We were going to need them now that my mates and my family were coming back with them.

My family.

Not only did I gain Thaddeus, Theon and their crazy family, but I also had mine. We were a wonderful, well-blended mix of elves, human and werewolf. I’ve never been so happy in all my life and I know my mates sensed it. Their wolves were giddy and Eva was beaming, showing off her massive teeth in my head. Since skipping from wolf to Lycan, it really drained a lot of my body, especially since you are supposed to have days to recuperate, but having royal b***d on both sides helped, I believe, even if it was an ancient line.

I saw Stacy standing with Landon in a nearby corning of the pack house while many helped cook food in the massive kitchen. We were still going to have a massive feast for Ansel and his parents. I sat, cutting potatoes with my mom, trying to listen to their conversation. It was low, but I could still hear a little.

Landon was really laying it on sweet and thick with his smooth words. Stacy was blushing beet red. Her eyes could barely meet Landon’s. Landon was a sweet wolf, although very serious and hides his emotions. He looked like he was baring it all for Stacy. She deserved it, after all the s**t she’s been through, even with Landon being part of the problem. After losing Elijah, whom she thought of as a friend and her family in the small town. Landon was all she had left, and as long as he stayed true to her, which I think he will, she will heal in time.

Stacy won’t let him get away with her years of solitude. I’m sure she has some sneaky ideas to embarrass him publicly. That’s just how Stacy was. She was vindictive. I could see it in her eyes.

Thaddeus and Theon tended to me regularly while I slept in bed. Their hands have not stopped touching me since we had gotten to our room. We all showered. Even with the lustful stares we dared to throw at each other, we kept our bodies to ourselves. The occasional caress was there, but it was tender, loving and I appreciated it and felt adored.

My body was sore, my first shift was a difficult one. I still remember hearing every bone in my body cracking, and it made me sick to think about it. No one could have prepared me for that, no one could have told me just how painful it was . My mates were prepared for such shifts. I was not. I believe Artemis had something to do with its swiftness, along with the fates that help me go through it and as quickly as I did. Theon said shifts can last hours and mine, being a mere minute, shocked everyone.

The wolves looked at me differently now. Sure, they thought I was different before, because they thought I was human, because I didn’t tell many about my elf heritage. There wasn’t time. Now they bow their heads lower in respect, because I could withstand everything on my own. If I needed to take care of myself, I could, but I would always rely on my mates because that is what a healthy relationship was.

“I can’t wait to take you home,” Theon sighed in my ear. He was the big spoon while Thaddeus’ face was next to mine.

“Yeah, Bergarian is like nothing you have ever seen. It is so much different from Earth.” Thaddeus traced his finger on my cheek. “Magical things you read in books are there, like sirens, other shifters and even dragons.” My head perked up.

“Dragons?” I whispered. Theon laughed, pushing his body impossibly closer. “Yeah, we’re friends with one. He helped mom and dad a long time ago, he helped win the war. He’s wicked strong and as scary as dad when he gets mad,” Thaddeus laughed.

“If he wanted, I bet he could overthrow the Moon Kingdom, but he isn’t like that. He’s likes being alone with his mate.”

“What’s his mate like?” My face nuzzled into Thaddeus. Would she be as scary as him?

“Well, think about it, mates balance each other. Look at mom and dad.”

“Oh, so she is like your mother, then?” I mumbled.

“No, she’s different. Kind of quiet, likes to stay to herself. Mom is more outgoing, ready to jump in and help anyone. Not saying she doesn’t, she is just more guarded. Plus Creed, the dragon, doesn’t let her out much, and she’s fine with that.

“Sounds lonely,” I spoke.

“No, it’s just they only need each other to be happy.” I hummed, putting my hand on Theon’s thigh so I could finally fall asleep.

…..

“Congratulations again, Your Highnesses,” Bohdi bowed, along with Spencer. “We wish we could attend your mating ceremony and Luna celebration, but I am needed back home.” Bohdi interlaced Spencer’s fingers with hers. Spencer looked adorningly at her, his nose going into her neck. “Yes, we also need some time alone,” Bohdi giggled.

“It was a pleasure, Bohdi,” Sadie came in for a hug. “We really need to visit each other sometime and not just because there is some kind of fight or baby shower.”

“I can arrange something,” Bohdi leaned in, pressing her lips against Sadie’s cheek. “In fact, I think we will see each other real soon.” With a wink, Bohdi pulled Spencer to the thick forest, her hand waved only for them to disappear like they were never there.

“It has been a pleasure,” Matthew bowed, “but we must be off as well, but before we do, we have a gift.” Ajax stepped up, dressed in all black, his hair straight as an arrow and his rings clinking together with a box. Opening it up, he showed us nothing but ashes.

“What is this?” I asked, picking up the box putting it in my hand.

“Your step-father’s ashes.” I raised a brow, wanting to throw the box away, but Ajax held up his hand. “I know it seems strange, but mix it with this when you are ready.” A small vial was given to Theon. “Mix this with his ashes and spread it over a witches’ crystal sphere. Say the words inscribed in the box and you will see your step-father’s sufferings. I’m sure you were disappointed not being able to get your revenge, but maybe this will help.” Ajax gave a side smile, looking at Matthew. “I may have used a little of his ashes for myself and let me say, he was a mess.”

Chuckling, I closed the box, wanting to hug him. I wanted nothing more for Karma to take over that mans life. This was sweet poetic justice that my mother and I will get to watch.

“Thank you,” I whispered, holding out my hand. Thaddeus gripped my hand before Ajax could respond, kissing the back of my hand. Growling at Thaddeus, both Matthew and Ajax walked into the forest, disappearing all the same.

“Ready?” Sadie pranced up to our group. Her small stature had us all looking down at her. She was wearing a frilly dress. We were all standing outside. The first wave of warriors headed out to drive ahead of us and make sure there weren’t any more surprises. I’m sure there wasn’t, but Seth was being extra careful.

“Almost, where is Stacy?” Stacy had her fingers interlocked with Landon coming from the house, he we beaming down at her, kissing her forehead. Her other hand wrapped around his arm. They already looked like a mated couple.

“Stacy!” I squealed, pulling her into a tight hug. “Are you coming with us?”

“To visit,” she quickly replied. “Landon is the head warrior, my cousin is still here, and we would like to take things slow, anyway. But I really wanted to come witness your ceremonies, so I demanded we come right away.” Landon’s smile stayed on Stacy. His acceptance obviously making his wolf happy.

“You will get the best accommodations,” Theon spoke up. “The pack will be grateful to have you.” Landon only nodded and pulled Stacy to one of the SUVs.

“Not a big talker, is he?” Thaddeus scoffed.

“He speaks when he needs to. Your dad is similar. Must be the brooding type,” I joked.

“Let’s not wait anymore time,” Seth yelled to the group. “Let’s go home.” The vampires that traveled with us were coming as well, bringing their large passenger van. Suron was running around the van, screaming with the children. All the children were growling, swiping their pretend claws while chasing him.

“Help! They’re after me! They will eat me alive!” Suron jumped on top of the van. “You can’t get me now!” I started laughing. My mates picked me up, forcing me into the limo while I tried to continue to watch.

“Just wait, I want to see what happens,” I giggled. The door to the white limo slammed and Theon was on top of me in an instant as I laid flat on my back on the seat. “We’ve got some time to kill,” his shirt instantly fell off. Thaddeus wasn’t far behind, his pants already on the floor. I snorted, still laughing, until I was silenced as Theon pushed his lips to mine.
