Her Knotty List (MVP: Most Valuable Pack Book 4) -
Her Knotty List: Chapter 53
The haze has basically taken over my whole body, aside from one tiny corner of my brain.
I cling to that last patch of logic, knowing I still need to—
I still need to—
Bite the alpha. Beg for his knot. Ask him for his taste and suck it down until we—
Gah! I try to take a deep breath and think, but I’m not great at focusing in the best of circumstances.
And this?
This is not the best.
This nest is beautiful, but it doesn’t smell right. Every inhale reminds me that I’m missing things. Or a person? People?
No, pretty sure just one person and some things.
Gentle hands with rough skin rid me of my clothes. I look down at the big alpha crouched near my feet, carefully removing my shoes. It takes way too long for me to remember his name, but I finally do.
“Knox!”
It’s a giddy squeal of relief and an impatient whine all at once. He likes it, though; his stern lips suddenly flick up at the corners.
“Yes, little miss?”
It feels stupid to admit that I’m just happy to be able to remember who he is. My cheeks and chest burn with a blush that softens the humor in his blue eyes.
“That’s okay, honey,” he husks out. “You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to. Or remember anything at all.” With a tenderness I’ve never experienced during my heats, he leans forward on his knees and plants a kiss over my mound, murmuring quiet words into the curve of my belly. “I love you very much, Emma. Just remember that.”
Memories flurry through my mind. This perfect alpha, promising me bonds and bites and a pack. Did all of that really happen? Was it a fever dream?
I whimper, and the alpha behind me lifts me right off my feet.
Oh.
I’m naked?
That makes sense, actually. There were all these clothes on me before—scratching and chafing. In fact, the man at my back still has his on—and I hate it.
With a growl, I spin and start attacking the horrible, needle-like material. Warmer, softer hands suddenly land on my shoulders, rubbing soothing circles.
“Shh, shona,” an equally smooth voice croons, sliding against my side. A rush of perfect chai warms my nose, the sensation tingling down my body until slick slips from my center.
I sway toward the scent and those stroking hands. The third alpha’s perfectly naked body presses into mine. “It’s okay. Micah will take all his clothes off for you and help you build your pretty nest, hmm? Knox, too.”
But someone is missing.
When I make a frantic sound, he shushes me sweetly, “Mm. And Gunnar. He’s coming, baby. Just getting everything we need to make this space perfect for you.”
The alpha in front of me strips, giving my blurry eyes something to focus on as I lean into the heat and spice enveloping me. “You want all of your alphas’ scents in here, right?” he goes on, purring silkily. “Everyone all mixed together for you to roll around in? For your perfect pussy to squirt all over?”
My body convulses, slick pouring down my thighs. The way my belly flips isn’t entirely comfortable, though.
The pack alpha must sense it. Now gloriously nude, he turns me toward him and holds my face in his raspy palms.
“Listen here, omega,” he rumbles, edging so close to a bark that my pussy flutters in a painful squeeze. “I want your cum all over this nest. I want you to gush for us. And I never want you to worry about it for even half a second. Because we will relish every drop of your sweetness.”
The other two growl their agreement, surrounding me with their hard bodies and delicious scents.
It still isn’t right, though. My Omega starts to panic, bombarding me with frantic memories of the other heats we’ve endured.
The one who was supposed to want us never came for us, and we had to be with those alphas who didn’t love us and didn’t want us, and now the other alpha still isn’t here. And it’s not right without him! It isn’t—
“Omega!”
It’s him. His name comes easier, maybe because I’ve been trying desperately to recall it.
Gunnar.
He tosses a pile of sheets and clothes into the middle of the floor mattress and rips at his shirt, never breaking stride. When he reaches me, he sweeps me up into his arms and scent-marks me so thoroughly, it drowns out the strange sterile smell of the new nest.
“I’m here, omega,” he pants, replaceing my eyes with his gray gaze. “I promised you I would be, and here I am, okay? Not leaving you ever again.”
His expression shifts, and I know, somehow, that he’s talking to me, not my omega. “I love you so damn much, sunshine. This is the only place I want to be.”
The edges of my mind have started melting. Now that they’re all here, in the small room, their scents nip at that little patch of logic I’ve been standing on.
I tremble, and Gunnar hugs me closer, managing to keep his balance as he steps down onto the recessed mattress. The others are there, waiting. They all open their arms and take turns touching me, putting their marks over Gunnar’s scent.
It swirls my thoughts into soup but sharpens some other, deeper sense. My instincts lurch toward the pile of clothing, and four growly purrs rattle the scent-soaked air.
When I start to move, they all follow. I feel myself speaking, but I’m not sure what I’m saying.
Whatever it is, they listen. The warmth in my belly grows thicker as the pile of fabric becomes a real nest. With walls of pine and frost, tangles of spice, and nutty sweetness.
Chai threaded with cedar. Prickles of peppermint sprinkled about. Salty, roasted undertones woven in between.
As soon as I tuck the last pine-and-cedar pillow into place, a new sensation spirals through me. Just as strong as my frantic fears, but in the opposite direction.
Everything is right. Too right. So utterly, perfectly—
Ah!
My core clamps as a whine shatters the peaceful purrs filling my nest. Instinct zaps through my blood, lungs zinging on every inhale.
The others move, but I’m faster. Dropping to my hands and knees before I lower myself onto my elbows and raise my backside for them.
My Omega has the reins, but she allows me one final flicker of awareness. Showing me that the nest is done. Our alphas are here. And we’re presenting for whoever wants to bite us first.
