Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife
Chapter 200 Protect You for a Life

In the second half of the night, Charlotte did not sleep. She had been waiting.

She had been waiting for Kennedy to come back.

But she had been waiting for vain. Kennedy didn't come back till 5 o'clock in the morning. She kept her original post in the bed, motionless.

After a while, she sat up from the bed, walked to the wardrobe, took a sleep dress and put it on. And then she returned to her bed on the floor, lied down and feel asleep.

She seemed to have made a decision. She lied down, closed her eyes and soon she fell asleep.

Whatever woman he was looking for was none one her business.

She woke up in the next day, but she only had been in asleep for three hours, and now she felt headache. She covered her head, walked to the bathroom to wash her face and then went downstairs.

At breakfast, Manfred felt her face pale, so he asked with concern, "What is wrong with you? Didn't you have a sound sleep last night?"

It stunned Charlotte, she shook her head, "I am fine."

Reynold was not there, so Manfred said.

"I heard that Kennedy went out last night and did not come back until now."

Charlotte was to drink milk. When she heard this, she froze and the milk almost spit out. She put down the milk and took a piece of sushi.

"Is Kennedy looking for someone?"

Charlotte opened her mouth and the put the sushi in. She felt upset to hear that, and felt the food disgusting in mouth. She did not answer him, but he continued.

"Do you know who he is looking for?"

Charlotte took a sip if milk and shook her head, "I don't know. I gotta go, Manfred."

With that, Charlotte walked toward outside. She moved fast as if she was fleeing.

In a while, Manfred caught up with her, "I go to the company too, let me send you."

"No need." Without turning her head, she stepped forward.

Her hand was grabbed. She turned in surprise and found Manfred held her wrist, "Charlotte, I take you to the company."

Charlotte frowned and wanted to shake off his hand, but Manfred held her more tightly, "Wait for me here. Don't go away, understand?" Charlotte, "Manfred, I..."

"I go get the car."

Manfred went to get the car. Charlotte wanted to walk away, but Manfred's words were cold, so she had to stand still.

In a while, Manfred stopped the car in front of her and asked her to get into the car.

She had to get into the car. When Manfred was to tie the safety belt for her, she said, "I can do it by myself."

"Let me do it." Manfred held her hand and had to tie it for her. The male breath covered her. It was easy to tie safety belt, but Manfred deliberately do it slowing and his cool breath was on her face. Charlotte felt uncomfortable and shrunk her body with her head back, hoping to be away from him. Manfred said in a cold voice.

"Are you trying to stay away from me?"

Hearing that, Charlotte froze. She looked up and met Manfred's cold eyes, "You..."

"I transferred your position because I don't want you to be bullied. I have no other thought."

Charlotte was silent, but her breath was tense.

Manfred tied the safety belt for her but he did not leave. He held her hand tightly, "Do you know who Kennedy was looking for last night?" Before she said a word, he added, "If you have feeling for each other, if you live a happy life, I will leave your alone, but I don't want you to get hurt." "Manfred..." Charlotte wanted to push him away, but Manfred suddenly circled her shoulders and held her into arms.

At this moment, Charlotte's heartbeat seemed to stop.

What was he doing?

"Charlotte, if possible, I would like to take care of you for a life."

Hearing that, Charlotte curled up her lips. "Before you did this, have you thought about your brother's feeling?"

"Since Kennedy doesn't not care about you, I will not give him a chance anymore. Charlotte, get divorced with him."

"And?" Charlotte asked.

Manfred froze, retreated and looked at her gently.

"If I got divorced, I will be targeted. If I marry to you, do you think it is really good to me?"

Manfred was motionless.

Charlotte sneered, "Manfred, do you really fell distressed for me and don't want me to be bullied, or do you want to take revenge on Kennedy, so you want me to get divorced with him? If I marry you, you can prove your charming, right?"

Hearing that, Manfred was panic. He seemed not to expect that Charlotte would think in that way and she spoke it out. He held Charlotte's shoulders, "Why do you think in that way? Do I look like that kind of person in your eyes?"

"Then Manfred, what kind of person you are? Do you think I believe you fall in love with a married woman? Since you have long known about my identity, you should know that apart from Kennedy, I got divorced before. If I marry to you, you will be my third husband. In your eyes, I am just a broken shoe. Will you accept me? Come on, even if you say more, I won't believe it."

Manfred frowned, held her shoulder more and more tightly and scolded, "Don't say that. What broken shoe you are talking about? I don't care about it."

"Then what do you care about?" Charlotte snorted, "Do you think I will believe you?"

"I care about your heart."

Charlotte was stunned, looking at Manfred in daze.

Manfred stared at her cold eyes seriously, "I know it is difficult for you to believe men since twice failure of marriage, so I am willing to wait until you believe me. Charlotte, I just want you to know that I really like you. I am not joking, I swear."

He raised his hand, as if it was a ceremony.

"In the witness of God, I swear I would like to take all lives of my family to get Charlotte's trust. I would like to take care of her. If there is a fake sentence, I would rather die."

Charlotte was scared by his words, "You, stop!”‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒
