"I'm carrying his child, but you're carrying bastards, do you think Mr. Kennedy would want you anymore?"

"Mr. Kennedy doesn't want to see you. You can never step into this door, you are no longer Mrs. Moore, please leave."

"Here's the divorce agreement, sign your name, and you and I will have nothing to do with each other."

"You married to a rich family. If it were not for Christina, do you think you have the opportunity to be Mrs. Moore? So what I ask you to pay off some of my gambling debts. I raised you, shouldn't you do that?" "You are ugly, no man wants you. Your husband who shared your bed for two years didn't touch you, don't you think why?"

"Get out, get out of the Moore family, and never come back."

No, don't...

People and things of the past came before her one by one, seized her weakness, and attacked her with all its might. "Don't...Don't drive me away, don't --"

Manfred who had been in Charlotte's bedside heard her twittering for many times. And she kept saying the same words.

Manfred sighed and felt distressed.

Since he took Charlotte back to the hospital, she had a high fever until now. She was pregnant, so she could not use drugs but only physical cooling.

Manfred had been staying with her for a long time. Within an hour, her fever had not gone, but got more and more severe.

The nurse took a look at Manfred and reminded, "Sir, you have taking care of her for more than an hour, you can't hold one, take some sleep. I will look after her."

"No." Manfred pursed his thin lips and shook his head, "Her fever has not gone. I can not feel at ease."

"I can take care of her. Her fever will certainly be gone. You can do nothing about it."

Manfred no longer spoke, fixing his eyes on Charlotte. He had been helping her to change the wet cloth cold on her forehead.

The nurse could do nothing about him. He was stubborn and did not take her advice. Both of them were injured, but they ran out. When they came back, they got wet all over. Charlotte had a high fever and was in coma. Manfred got infected wounds, but he refused to have it processed and helped Charlotte with physical cooling.

"Sir, you are injured and have been drenched in the rain. If you got wound infected, you will have a high fever. And once you have the fever, you will affect her."

Hearing that, Manfred froze and seemed to have reaction to what she said.

Seeing that, she continued, "I will take good care of her. You go get your wound treated."

Manfred nodded and handed the handkerchief to her.

The nurse finally felt relieved. He was her patient. If he had a problem, she would not feel at ease.

Manfred did not go far away. They were in the same room, and he was in the next bed. The nurse got a doctor to treat his wound, and she was taking care of Charlotte.

The doctor had been dealing his wound, but he had been looking at Charlotte.

"Lie down. You have a fever, too." The doctor patted him on the shoulder and motioned him to lie down.

Manfred could not rest assured, still staring at Charlotte.

"If you don't get treatment, you will get sick. Who's going to take care of her? So lie down and get treatment. You're in good condition, and as long as you get treatment, you won't faint." Manfred lied down.

After some toss and turn, Manfred got his injury dealt with, and Charlotte's fever had gone, but she seemed to have been in a nightmare, repeatedly saying all kinds of dream talk, oozing cold sweat on the forehead.

The nurses left the ward, while talking.

"Oh my god, this man has deep feeling for her. He is persevere. He got serious hurt but he had held on. If I hurt like that, I can't stand it."

"You don't understand. Some men even gave up life for women. His eyes have deep feeling for her. Why can I not meet such a man? He's so affectionate and so handsome."

"Well, stop talking about it. The head nurse will scold us if she hears it."

"I didn't say anything bad. I just sighed."

"Don't, the head nurse will say you have nothing to do. Let's go."

They walked away as they spoke.

It was early morning and the hospital corridor was particularly quiet. In addition to the sound of instruments, only the patient's breathing could be heard.

Manfred lied on the bed, looking at Charlotte not far away from him.

After toss, he was really tired. After taking the medicine, he felt sleepy.

He was about to sleep, but he opened his eyes again,

'Who will take care of Charlotte if I am asleep? What if she wakes up in the middle of the night and runs out again?'

It was still raining outside, and she couldn't take a second injury with the fever she had had.

Come on, hold on.

Manfred wanted to call his secretary, but the phone was power off, so he could only borrow the phone from the nurse and then called his secretary.

Although it was early morning, Georgia hurried to come over after receiving her phone call.

"Mr. Manfred, what is going on?" Georgia was shocked to see that. They were good when she sent the document, but now they both fell ill.

"It's complicated, but I need your help right now."

Georgia immediately nodded, "What can I help?"

"I'm sorry, but I had to call you here out of working hours."☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
