Chapter 55 A surprise

Langford looked at her and then smirked. Then he fell on the ground causing a thud.

Elle's eyes widened. She took her gun and also ran to the fence. She climbed on it with ease and alsocame down. She saw him a little distance from her.

"That bastard!" She groaned and continued to run after him. Meanwhile Langford was having difficultiesin running because of his two injured legs but he smirked when he remembered what he did.

He had successfully taken one of the goons phone and called the cops with it.

Elle took her gun and cocked it.

"I swear I'll kill you, Langford.." She said with reddened eyes. She pulled the trigger but nothinghappened. Her eyes widened and then it dawned on her that she took the wrong gun. This was notloaded with bullets.

"Gosh!" She groaned and continued running after him.

"Langford! You better stop running cause when I catch you. I'm going to make your life miserable. Stoprunning!" She yelled again and but he didn't.

He fell hard on the ground but he forced himself to stand and he continued running.

"Dang!" Elle groaned. She took her phone and dailed Damien's number as she ran but he was notavailable.

Slowly she was catching up with him. She looked up and saw a car rushing towards them in full speed.Her eyes widened and Langford stopped running, his heart hammering against his chest. But all of a

sudden, the car stopped in front of him and Damien got out of it.

He brought out his gun and pointed it at him.

"Just take a step and you are dead.." He said coldly and Elle heaved a sigh of relief.

Langford suddenly smirked.

"Don't feel too good cause I've already called the police and I'm sure they are on their way soon.." Hesaid and both Elle and Damien's eyes widened.

"You bastard!" Damien yelled and immediately hit the gun on his head. He fell down unconsciousimmediately.

"Dam, we need to get out of here.." He said and she nodded.

They both carried Langford to the car and Damiem drove off.

Elle brought out her phone and then called Blade.

"You need to get out of there, the police are coming there soon.." She said.

"Okay, boss ma'am.."

"But what about your car? Hope nothing important is in it?" He asked and Elle smiled.

"No, I didn't bring that one. It's fine.." Elle said and hung up.

"Elle, we still have to take that route to the saf house to land to the next street.." Damien said.

"Take the route.." Elle replied him and as they were going, the police car passed by them.

Elle smiled again.

"Thanks for coming at the right time, Dam.." Elle said.

"It's nothing. I don't know why but I felt thus bastard got something up his sleeves. So I couldn't keepcalm at all. I came here straight.." Damien said.

"Where did you go? I tried your number several times but you didn't answer my call. I was veryworried.."

"It's nothing. I just went out for a walk.." He answered her but Elle felt there was more to it. Howevershe refused to ask him more.

"Do you know Senator Leo and James are working together?" Elle asked and Damien's fists tightenedon the sterling.

"Yeah I do.." He said reluctantly.

"They are also planning a mission but I don't know what that is. We have to stop them on time.." Ellesaid and Damien nodded without saying a word.

"Dam, are you okay?" She asked and Damien looked at her.

"Yes.." He faked a smile.

"You can lie to anyone but not me. I know you are not okay but I won't force you to talk now. I will waittill when you are ready.." She said she he nodded.

"Thanks a lot, Elle.." He said.

"And about senator Leo. He's related to you right?" She said and he nodded. He remembered tellingher that.

"He's just one of my relatives.." He said and she nodded.

"That's right, Kiera wants to talk to you.." Elle said and Damien laughed just by hearing her name.

Elle took her phone and dailed Kiera's number.

She answered the call immediately.

"Mummy, when are you coming home? It's almost 7PM and you know I won't be able to sleep withouthearing your bedtime stories!" Kiera says and Elle smiled.

'I'll be home soon baby. I'm with your uncle cutie.." Elle said and Kiera laughed.

"I don't want to speak to him. He didn't even call me!" Kiera said and Damien chuckled.

"I'm sorry, sweetie. Uncle cutie is very busy. But you know I always make time for my princess. I'mreally sorry.." Damien said.

"I can only forgive you on one condition and guess what's that?" Kiera asked.

"Ice cream, strawberry flavour.." Damien said and Elle smiled, remembering it's also Jason's favouriteflavour. She really took after her dad in many things.

"No, no, you can't have that. You might get cough.." Elle said.

"Uncle cutie, can't you see mummy is a pain in the ass.." Kiera said and Elle's eyes widened.

"Princess, where did you learn that from?" She said.

"I won't tell you. It's a secret between me and uncle cutie.." Kiera said and Elle glared at Damien wholaughed as he drove the car away.

"Thanks again Jason, I love you.." Deborah said hugging Jason tightly and he smiled.

"I love you too, my baby.." He said and they broke the hug.

"I can't believe my dad agreed so easily. I'm sure it was because it's you. We all know you are dad'sfavourite son.." Deborah winked and Jason scoffed.

"That's not true.." He retorted.

Well, Jason answered the call and told James he was the one who asked Deborah to come so shecould attend their engagement party.

"Well, I can't say that that I will attend your engagement party. I won't. I wonder why you have to getmarried to someone you don't even love.." Deborah said and Jason smiled.

"I just love you cutie.." He said and cupped her cheeks.

"Don't bribe me, Mister.." She said and Nick sighed watching the both of them.

"What's this?' He suddenly asked.

"What?!" They both said simultaneously.

"Hey, you.." He pointed at Deborah.

"Don't call me you, my name is Deborah or you can call me Deb..' She said.

"I don't care whatever is your name. You just came here and took my best friend from me. I won't allowthat.." He said and grabbed Jason's right hand.

"I'm sure you aware of the fact that I'm his sister, hmmm.." Deborah said with a smile and then grabbedthe other hand.

"Let go of him! This instant!" He said and Deborah stuck out her tongue at him.

"You should be the one to let him go. I can't share my brother with you.." Deb said and Nick scoffed.

"Me neither, I can't share my best friend with you.." Nick glared at her and she returned the glare.

Jason sighed. He has both a crazy best friend and worse a very crazy sister. Knowing both of them,none of them will be ready to give up.

"Wait. Just a minute, can you both let me go.." He said but the both of them refused, still glaring at eachother.

"Why don't you choose Jason? Deborah said and Jason sighed.

"That's cheating. We both he will choose you. You are his sister right?"

Deborah smiled.

"You already admitted it. He'll chose me.."

"That's because you are his sister. You are his family member.."

"That's not the only reason.."

"Of course.."

"Wait!" Jason suddenly yelled.

"Nick, you have an online presentation at 7: 30pm and Deb, Mum and Dad are expecting you. I'm sureyou know your curfew's time is 8PM. You wouldn't want to be punished.." Jason said. The both of themglared at each other again before releasing his hands simultaneously.

"I have to go now, Jay.."

"Don't call him that. I'm the only one who gets to call him that.." Nick said.

"I also call him that sometimes if you dont know.." Deborah rolled her eyes. Her phone started ringingand she gasped when she saw it was her mum calling.

"It's mum.." She said.

"I have to go.." She added and pecked Jason's cheek.

"I'll drive you home.." Jason offered.

"No, there's no need for that. I'll be fine..' She said and he smiled.

"I love you. ." He said and pecked her forehead.

"Go home.."

Deborah smiled and then walked out of the house.

"Gosh! Why were you bickering with her like a kid? Aren't you much more older than her?"

"I just wanted to get on her nerves and it felt so good.." He said and Jason hit his head hard.

"Stop it!" He groaned and Jason chuckled.

"But to be Frank, your sister's really pretty. She's my type.." Nick said and licked his lips.

Jason hit his head again.

"Not my sister, Nick. She's just twenty. I swear I'll kill you if you try to mess with her.." Jason said andNick raised his hands up in surrender.

"I was just joking.." He said and Jason laughed.

10:30PM.

Elle smiled as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. She was looking very hot. Her phone rang andshe answered the call.

"Hey babe, where are you?" Tyson asked.

"I'm on my way already. I'll be right there.." she replied him and then applied a pink lipstick on her lips.

"Okay then. I have a surprise for you.." He said and Elle smiled.

"What's it?" She asked Curiously.

"You will see when you get here, don't worry.." He said and Elle smiled again and then hung up.
