Chapter 66 Figuring things out.

James was in the balcony having an online meeting with his business partners when all of a sudden,Deborah rushed there.

"Daddy, Daddy.." She called in a panicked voice. James groaned.

"Please excuse me for a moment.." He told them and faced her.

"You need to see this video!" She said and gave him. He scoffed and collected it from her. His eyeswidened immediately.

"I'm so sorry but we need to postpone the meeting. I'll text you when we can have the meeting.." Hesaid and immediately closed his laptop.

"What's this?" He yelled angrily at her and Deborah flinched.

"I don't know daddy, I just found it online.." She said almost in tears.

James stood up angrily and walked out of the balcony with Deborah closely following him.

"Daddy, Dad, please calm down.." Deborah said.

"Why should I? Why you should I?!" He yelled at her ahd broke the flower vase angrily.

Deborah flinched and she moved backwards. Her eyes widened in shock. Immediately Tyson andLauren rushed out of their rooms.

"Hun, hun, What's the problem?" She asked.

"That stupid person is at it again. He recorded our conversation and used it against us!" He yelled andboth Deborah and Tyson froze in shock. Even Lauren was shocked.

"Hun, please stop it. When you are angry. You like saying nonsense.." Lauren tried calming him downbut he pushed her off.

"Dad, what are you saying? Is this true? Are you planning to rig the elections?!" Deborah yelled angrily.

"Yes! And what's so bad in it? Not like other politicians are saints!" He said angrily again and bothTyson and Deborah froze in shock again.

"Hun!" Lauren yelled and slapped him hard across the cheek.

"What are you doing? What are you saying hun? What are you saying to our kids? Do you want to givethem the bad impression if you? Why do you spot out nonsense when you was angry.." She yelled andgrabbed his collar.

"Stop it! Your children are here. You don't want them to think bad of you? Do you?' Sje whispered tohim and James fell to the ground.

"I'm sorry kids. I'm sorry if I scared you. I was just heartbroken. I meant other politicians that are theones guilty of the crime doesn't get punished but the innocent ones get punished. Your mum and Inever said what they are accusing us of.." James said and ran his hands into his hair.

"Daddy, with the stunt you just pulled. Do you expect me to believe you again?' Deborah yelled at him.

"It's like you were admitting to your faults. Honestly dad, I'm starting to doubt you.." Deborah said.James stood up and a glass of the broken vase pierced into his right leg. He groaned and walked toher. He cupped her cheeks.

"I'm so sorry sweetie! If I had made you doubt me for a second. I'm so sorry but remember this always.I'm your dad and do you think I can do what they are accusing me off.." He said and Deborah shookher head.

"I don't believe them daddy.." She said she hugged him but however there was still doubts in Tyson'sheart.

'Dad admitted everything angrily and now he's saying another thing. Something is not right! Dad mightbe lying to us and I'm sure mum must know about it but what are they keeping from us that they don'twant us to replace out about?" He thought.

The door bell rang and Tyson went to get it immediately.

Elle's face came into view. Her hair was scattered all over her face and her body was dirty.

"Baby.,'She called and hugged him in tears.

"Hey, what happened?" He asked hugging her back.

"I.. the mob were after me when they saw me. They are gathered in front of your house and they arereally furious. I don't know how but they recognised me as your girlfriend and they pursued me. Theyall threw stones and eggs at me, baby I'm so scared.." Elle said tightening her hug on him.

Suddenly they heard the shouts.

"TAKE DOWN THE MADISONS! BRING DOWN THE MADISONS! WE DON'T WANT A CORRUPTRULER! TAKE DOWN THE MADISONS!

"Gosh! Dad, they are outside the mansion already. And look at what they did to my fiancee.." Tysonsaid angrily hugging Elle more tightly to himself.

"We need to replace a way to clear dad's name. Daddy's innocent. My dad is innocent!" Deborah cried andimmediately she ran out without thinking.

"Deborah!" They all yelled and they ran after her.

Even Elle was surprised. She never expected that she would react that way.

"We have to stop here or else she would get hurt.." Elle said.

Deborah was still rushing until someone ran towards her and caught her in his arms.

"Who are you? What are you doing?' She yelled struggling with him.

"Don't you want to die?" A familiar voice yelled at her and her eyes widened.

"Pervert, what are you doing? Let me go!" She yelled and pushed him away.

"I'm doing anything wrong. My dad is innocent. I'm going to tell them that.." She said and he scoffed.

"Oh really! Do you think they would listen to you right now. They are so enraged and you could mobbedto death or be either injured.." He said.

"I don't care about that. Why do you care about that?" She yelled at him and he scoffed.

"I'm going..' She said but he pulled her back and carried her in a bridal style.

"Let me go! Let me go! You pervert!" She screamed, her legs dancing in the hair.

"I told you I don't like stress. If you don't stop swinging your legs, I kiss you for real this time.." He saidand she stopped swinging her legs.

"What are you saying?' She asked and he looked at her.

"You know me right. I would have done so yesterday if you didn't run away.." He smirked and her eyeswidened.

"You pervert!" She screamed and continued swinging her legs. Damien lost balance and they both fellto the ground.

Elle and the others who were watching them busted out laughing despite the condition that was at handpresently.

In the mansion.

"Why are you so stubborn?" Lauren asked as she cleaned up Deborah's wounds. Well she just had ascratch but then she wouldn't stop screaming like it's a serious wound.

Damien rolled his eyes.

"She's so childish.." He mumbled.

"Thanks Stephen for bringing her in despite her stubbornness.." James said.

"It's no problem governor. It's really fun in taking care of childish kids like her.." He said and she glaredat him.

"Dad, why are you thanking him? He made me fall. Why did he even carry me in the first place? Whatwas his business if I got hurt?' Deborah said and winced when her mum applied the spirit to her wound.

"Mum, be careful.." She groaned.

"I'm sorry.." Lauren said.

"Next time, don't try something dangerous again.." Tyson warned her and she nodded.

"I won't. I'm sorry Tyson.." She pleaded and he smiled.

Elle looked at Damien and winked at him. Damien rolled his eyes and clenched his fists.

It was obvious she was teasing him. Deborah suddenly smirked.

"Dad, since Stephen says he loves taking care of stubborn children like me. I think he should be mybodyguard.." She said and Damien' s eyes widened.

"What do you mean by that, Miss? I'm the governor's personal bodyguard.." Damien cut in .

"I'm talking to my dad and not you. So hold your horses.." She said and faced her dad.

'So daddy, what do you say?" Deb asked with a charming smile.

"Baby, he's saying the truth. I employed him because I need him. You don't need a bodyguard..' Jamessaid and Deborah frowned.

"Daddy, what if I want to go out for shopping? And the mob attacks me. What would I do? Huh?" Sheasked her dad.

"Daddy, please.." She pleaded.

"Deborah, stop all this.."

Elle chuckled.

"I need to take my leave now governor. I just thought to pay you a quick visit to check up on how youare doing.." She said and smiled.

"I'll see you later.." She added.

"I'll see Elle off dad.." Tyson said and walked out.

"Daddy, what do you say now?' Deborah asked him.

Fine.. He will be guarding you just for two weeks.." James said.

"Yeah, two weeks is enough for me to deal with that evil pervert.." She smiled and then hugged herdad.

"Thank you very much dad.." She pecked him.

Jason's Mansion.

Jason paused the video and sighed.

"I don't really trust you anymore dad. This is getting to frequent.." He said and then his phone rang. Itwas his private investigator calling.

He answered the call immediately.

"Good morning sir, I have found some interesting things you would like to know.."

"Go on.." He said.

"First of all, Danielle brown went missing for sometime. There were even rumours that she died but allof a sudden, after almost one and a half year, she showed up in the public. However the public couldn'thelp but notice some slight changes in her appearance. Her eyes were slightly bigger and her lips morethinner and also she also put on a lot of weight. Elle then confessed that she got into an accident thatcaused a slight change in her looks. But then, another surprising fact was the rumor of her being

pregnant. But she denied such. There were pictures of the child on internet but it was quickly takendown by unknown sources. However I am presently in Australia and I found out from one of theirworkers that Elle indeed has a daughter…" He said and Jason's eyes widened.

"What? Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yeah, I managed to get a picture of her but the problem is, it's too blurry.." the private investigator said.

"Send it to me via Email.." Jason said.

"Done already..' He said.

"If you replace out more, don't hesitate to call me.." He said and then he hung up.

Jason immediately opened his laptop and the pictures came flooding on it. His eyes widened when hesaw the picture.

Though it was blurry but it looked like Kiera. It looked like her!

"Maybe I'm just overthinking this.." He said and then moved on to the next pictures. That was aboutElle and her transformation.

In her former pictures, Elle had a small shaped cat eyes and she still had a cat eye shape but it wasquiet big.

"Asanel also had a cat eyed shape but it was not as small as this.." He mumbled pointing to the formerElle pictures.

"But why does it feel like she had her whole face restructured?" He asked himself and then he movedher lips. He furrowed his brows when he saw it. How come he never noticed! The shape of her lipswere very similar to Asanel' s.

He hurriedly went in and then walked out with a picture of Asanel in his hands. He checked it and hiseyes widened.

It looks almost the same.

"What am I thinking? Why am i comparing Asanel to Elle? It can never happen .." He said and sighedbut then his eyes went to the more beneath Asanel's ear and Elle's ear also.

He sprang up on his feet immediately.

"No, no, what I'm thinking about is impossible. It can never happen so I should stop thinking about it.It's impossible.." He said.

But then he paused when he remembered his dad's words.

'We found Asanel's and her mum's body. The both died.."

"Yeah.. That's it.." He said and then his eyes widened when Elle first called him Michael. He didn't evenadd that to his portfolio. And when he asked her. She couldn't give him a good reply. She alwaysignored the question. Then his mind began to go back to those times she would behave like Asaneland then act like it's a mistake. She even knew his favourite ice cream flavour. This couldn't be acoincidence.

"Something was definitely wrong. Something was wrong.." He said to himself and then he stood up.
