Chapter 70 A Sweet Reunion

Elle sighed and wrapped her hands around him. Though she doesn't know why he's like this but hedefinitely needed an arm to cry on.

Jason broke the hug and Elle stared into his eyes.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

He sighed and then nodded.

"Yeah. I'm fine.."

"I just found out something that I chose to be blinded to. I guess I was really blind, I had to get hurt so ican see things clearly ." He said and Elle hugged him again while he kissed her hair.

"It feels really good hugging you.." He mumbled with closed eyes and she smiled widely.

He broke the hug again and she held his right hand.

"I'll take you to Kiera's room.." He said.

They got to the room and met Kiera sleeping soundly on the bed. Jason smiled and sat beside her andthen held her right hand before placing a kiss on it, then he smiled.

"I never imagined she would be my daughter, all I just knew was that I just loved her.." Jason said andElle smiled. She then sat on the bed.

"I also never knew you are the handsome guy she kept on talking about. She really loved talking aboutyou and how much she loves you. I guess blood is really powerful.." Elle said and Jason sighed.

He held her hands.

"I'm sorry Elle.."

"I'm really sorry.." He said and she sighed.

"If I only I had believed you then, all this wouldn't have happened. If only I had protected you then youwouldn't have to go through what you went through alone…"

"Sash.. " Elle said and cupped his cheeks, caressing them.

"It's really not your fault. We were so young then. You wouldn't have been able to protect me eventhen, so don't blame yourself.." She said and pecked him.

He smiled and then kissed her shortly. Just then, Kiera stirred up from her sleep. She yawned andopened her eyes.

"Mummy.." She called sleepily. Elle darted her attention to her.

"Princess, you are awake already.." She said and Kiera smiled at her.

"Mummy, I had a very sweet dream. I dreamt you brought my daddy as my surprise gift for mybirthday.." Kiera said and Elle smiled, then pecked her hair.

"You had a sweet dream baby. Infact, the surprise is already here for you.." Elle said.

"Really mummy.."

Kiera immediately sat up and her eyes widened when she saw who was sitting next to her.

"Handsome!" She squealed and immediately jumped on him, packing him all over his face while Jasongiggled. Elle just smiled happily as she watched them.

This is what she had always dreamt about. Having a happy family.

Kiera smiled happily and then hugged him tightly, then she broke the hug and faced him

"Why are you here handsome?" She asked.

"I badly missed you so I came to see you.." Jason said pecking her hair.

"So you know my mummy?"

"Yeah.." Jason nodded.

"How did you guys meet?" Kiera asked and Elle sighed. She was not surprised since she knows howinquisitive her daughter is. However she ignored the question.

"Baby, you wanted to meet your daddy right?" Kiera nodded.

"Well, he's your daddy.." She pointed at Jason who smiled. Elle's eyes widened but then she huggedJason more tightly.

"You are my daddy.." She broke the hug and faced him.

"Then where did you go all these years? I really wanted to have a daddy for a long time but why wereyou not there with me? Do you know how much I really missed you?" She asked innocently and Jasonsighed.

"Princess, I have nothing to say than I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. But I just want you to know somethingDaddy loves you. He really does.." He said and Kiera hugged him again.

"I love you too.."

She broke the hug and pointed at the bed.

"I want to sleep with my parents today.." She said and Jason nodded. He smiled and they all tuckedthemselves in.

"Goodnight mummy. Daddy.." She said and then the lights went off.

THE NEXT DAY.

The car's food opened and James got out of the car. The reporters immediately rushed towards himasking a lot of questions which he didn't answer. The people were not left out. Most of them wereholding posters that showed they were not in support of him.

"WE DON'T WANT A CHEATING LEADER, WE WANT THE DOWNFALL OF JAMES MADISON.."

"WE WANT JUSTICE! JUSTICE FOR THE CITIZENS!"

"SAY NO TO CORRUPTION! SAY NO TO ELECTORAL MALPRACTICES! SAY NO TO THEMADISON'S"

"HE MUST BE CANCELLED!"

James clenched his fists as he read the posters. It was obvious most people were against him now,even the senator had warned him to make sure the issue does down.

"I swear whoever did this. I'll make you pay. I'll make you pay!" He thought looking around. But then hesmirked when he remembered the plan he had already.

"I'm going to win the election whether you like it or not.."

Elle smiled as she watched the television.

'It's a success. Our plan worked, Dam.." She mumbled.

"Asanel.." She heard a voice call her and she turned back.

"Jason.."

He walked to her and held her hands.

"I'll help you. I will fight with you to make sure we never lose this fight.." He said and she smiled.

"My Dad.." He paused and closed his eyes.

"He killed my mum.." He said and opened his eyes but then he was surprised to see no reaction fromher.

"You knew?!" He asked and she nodded.

"But I just didn't want to tell you anything without evidence.."

"I'm sorry.." She said and touched his cheek with her right hand. He smiled and then brought it downslowly.

"You didn't do anything wrong.." He said.

"I love you.." He whispered.

"I love you too.." She said and then he leaned closer and then kissed her softly. The door opened andDamien walked in..
