The dinner lasted for three hours. It was after Mayor Lee left that Liam drove away.

Although he had drunk a lot, Liam felt quite sober.

When Leo rushed back to his company, his assistant Mike rushed to him.

"What the hell happened?”

"We had a deal with the mayor, and we are about to sign the contract, but we were just informedthat it was against the rules and might take a while,” Mike said.

Leo frowned.

"But everyone knows the company is opening soon. If we delay it, we will lose a lot of money." Mikesaid.

Leo naturally knew this.

He thought for a moment and said, "They changed their mind at the eleventh hour. There must besome misunderstandings.”

"I found out that the president of the Powerline Group and the president of the Miller Group haddinner with the mayor today,” Mike said.

It was Liam!

Leo sneered.

'Do you really think you can stop me, Liam?’

Looking back at Mike, he said, "Arrange a dinner with Mayor Lee tomorrow."

Mike nodded and said, "Okay."

Leo put on a faint smile on his face.

The next day, Mike went to Leo's office.

"President, Mayor Lee said that he is too busy with meetings to have dinner with you," Mike said.Leo couldn't be more sure that Mayor Lee was doing this on purpose.

"Keeping calling him. I have to see him today, even if waiting for ten minutes.” Leo declared.Mike nodded and went out.

In the next two days, Mayor Lee rejected Leo's invitation with different excuses.

Leo was furious. It could be seen that Liam had tried his best to plot against him.

Now that the opening day was getting closer, even Mike got a little anxious.

"Have you considered asking your father for help?" Mike asked.

Leo looked up at Mike and said sternly, "No!"

"I don't want others to think I'm just a rich second generation that always relies on his father.” As hespoke, he looked up at Mike. "Check Mayor Lee's schedule for today.”

Mike didn't know what Leo was thinking, but he had to do as he said. "Okay!" Mike said.

Then Mike went out.

Ten minutes later, he came in again.

"Mr. Harris, I got it."

"Where is he now?"

"I just got the news that he is at a golf course now. He seems to have a talk with someone.” Mikesaid.

Leo narrowed his eyes and smiled. "Go to the golf course.”

"Yes." Mike didn't ask much since he knew Leo always had his own way of handling things. He justhad to follow his orders.

So they went to the golf course.

Golf courses used to be placed for people to relax and have fun, but now, they were used forbusiness and political negotiations.

In the name of playing golf, people had different kinds of talks here.

At this moment, Mayor Lee was talking to someone. Leo walked over. He was dressed casuallytoday, looking very young and relaxed.

"Mayor Lee, so nice to see you here. You look so relaxed.” Leo said.
