Hailey's POV

"What! R-really sir?" I asked the man sitting in front of me, who had just told me that I got the job.

"Yes, Ms. Cameron, why are you so shocked?" he asked with a smirk plastered on his face.

"I... uh... actually, I was just wondering why did I get the job when the last almost 15 people didn't," I said with curiosity. He chuckled.

"You wanna know?" he asked and I nodded. "Fine," he said, and I was all ears to him.

"Most people got eliminated on the first round, they peeped like a freaking asshole from the gate," he said.

"Oh"

"Next, they had no confidence when I yelled at them, as you know, I did at you," he said and this time, really smiled.

"And, they couldn't even replace the file in the 5 minutes, and even if they did, they just kept on nagging on how long it was and how impossible- when I clearly want my people to know that nothing is impossible," he said and then I remembered how I also thought it was impossible. IT REALLY WAS.

"Oh..." I said.

"Fine, Ms. Hailey, come to work from tomorrow," he said and I got up, ready to leave. Some sentences are incomplete if you are not reading this novel on Narugi.com. STRANGE.

I left the office without giving any single glance back to him, and I didn't stop until I'd left the building completely, and it was more of relief after I'd reached home. I couldn't even breathe properly when I was in that building.

I was getting ready for my first day at work, I was still afraid at how he reacted or rather spoke in a dominating voice, it was much scary, all the events from yesterday came into my mind.

I made up my mind and went to work. I reached the building, took a deep breath and entered, and went straight to his office to ask for my work. I knocked and he said, 'come in.

"G-Good morning, sir," I said as I entered.

He passed a small smirk, and then turned himself into that regular expressionless face of his, and then gestured me to sit across him.

"So, here are some rules you must be following, no matter what situation arises, these rules are mandatory to follow," he said. Somewhere I felt that those rules will be much of a pain in the a*s.

Nothing special dude. Rules are always a pain, aren't they?

"Understood, sir," I said and he started.

"Rule #1: No matter who orders you, if you have any order from me, that should be your priority.

Rule #2: I want your whole concentration on the work, rather than what today's girls have on.

Rule #3: 1 bear not a single mistake in my work, either it is paperwork or it is a presentation of you, that is, in meetings.

Rule #4: I don't want any complaint of you, or I will not take any second thought before firing you and last...

Rule #5: Never ever go against my words."

"Oh, Ok sir," I said, still confused or rather shocked by his rules.

Am I a prisoner or what?

"What do you mean by ok? Say understood, sir"

"U-understood, sir," I said, wondering what's the freaking difference between the two.

"Fine. Now, uh... bring those files" he said pointing towards a desk. I went there and picked up the files, headed back, and gave him.

"See... these 4 files, summarise them all, on a new paper, don't miss a single point," he said, his eyes again on the computer.

"Understood, sir" I repeated his words, for I don't know if he knows that 'okay' also means the same.

"And yes. Your duties. Listen. Firstly, you have to complete whatever work I tell you, next, you have to serve me a coffee at 12 & 3, without sugar, and yes it should be black, next tell me about my meetings 10 minutes prior, don't let anyone enter my cabin without an appointment, except you and John" he said all looking at his laptop, as if he had learned all the lines.

"Oh, Ok- I mean understood sir.. well, uh... I have a doubt sir" I spoke. He looked at me.

"Uh... Sir... Who's John?" I asked.

"Well, he looks like me, he's my brother, if he comes, he will himself tell that he's John," he said. That was a relief, I don't need to recognize him.

"Okay sir," I said, and was shocked he didn't tell me to say 'understood'.

"Now don't stand here, and freaking go out! Your desk is there!" he yelled and pointed towards a room in front of his, and now I know that I would be under his surveillance because he could clearly see the entire room with his one-sided see-through glass door. Without another word I left the room, for I think he is suffering from mood swings, and I don't wanna be one of his victims. I went there, adjusted my stuff, and settled down. I watched the time. 9:30.

I better not forget about his coffee. What did he say? Oh, yea, black with sugar.

I wrote all this in my diary and set an alarm on my phone, I really wasn't in a mood to face his rage on me.

It's 11:55. My phone's alarm buzzed, and so I walked out of my office and walked towards the end of the corridor, where I could see the coffee room written. I went inside and made the coffee the way he told. I have already a type of learned what he said. Black with sugar. Black with sugar.

I carried the coffee all the way to his office.

I knocked on the door. "Come in," a deep voice said, which I immediately recognized as his. I entered the office; he was still working on his laptop. I wonder if his eyes don't stain from all the work.

"Sir, your coffee," I said and he nodded his head. I went and kept it on the table. He took a look at the coffee. "Good," he said. Maybe, because I remembered the way he told me to make it. I left the office then.

12:06

The office phone began to ring. Yes, the phone of my very own office. I picked it up and I was startled by the voice that came.

"Ms. Hailey in my office right now with your resignation papers!" he yelled.
