Chapter 41

Hailey's POV

[Flashback]

I woke up and saw the time. I was way past my routine! Anyway, I got up and found a note beside me.

"Hey Hailey, would love to spend the day with you, but gotta go for work. I will return ASAP. Take care, bye-"

I smiled at the note and went to take a shower. So much has changed since yesterday, hasn't it?

Now he's writing notes and telling me that he wants to spend time with me.

And until yesterday, he was betting that I can't make him spend a minute with me wilfully.

Anyway, after the shower, I came out and started using my phone. Recently I have created an account on Instagram too. I don't chat but... You know, time pass.

I also read some books that were kept there and the time flew by. I like reading a lot. I have also started reading some novels online, on Kindle, and stuff.

After I was done with everything, I looked at the time. It is early, I don't think he's gonna return any time soon. So, I decided to use my phone for a little more while. That's when he arrived.

I was a little shocked that he arrived so soon, but I was happy too. We sat down and chatted for a while. He even let me feed him food. It was like... he is a completely different person. I can't believe that someone can change so drastically.

At last, when we went to the room, and when he kissed me, it was way different than any other kiss we ever shared. Every time, I would feel shivers, I would even feel disgusted. But this time, it was like... I am in heaven.

We went back to bed after the beautiful day. It was not so beautiful, but from the note to the kiss, I felt his presence with me the whole day.

I woke up and found him sleeping next to me. He is handsome when he is happy and that handsomeness is what makes him dangerous when he is angry. I mean, his face. His eyes are very beautiful as I have noticed many times. His nose is perfectly symmetrical and his lips are beautiful and so hell kissy. His jawline is awesome and, trust me, anyone would fall for this god.

Yeah, I know all those phrases, which tell us as 'Nature matters more than a face in love', but frankly, his looks are killer. I mean, okay, his nature wasn't the best one from the start, but isn't he lovely now?

His hairs are right now frizzy and I couldn't resist, I took my hand slowly and as I touched his hair, He caught my hand.

Hell, he was awake and I was staring for like the last ten minutes, literally.

He opened his eyes slowly and damn, here I fell again for those beautiful brown eyes.

"Love what you see?" he asked as he kept my wrist firmly in his grip.

"Um.... I-I was just... your hairs are not settled, so I..."

"I am sleeping. No one's hairs would be fine when they sleep" he exclaimed while leaving my wrist and looking at the ceiling. "You mean, not even mine?" I asked sitting up.

His eyes roamed over me for a while and he shrugged. "Yes"

I rolled my eyes and went to the nearest mirror, I saw myself.

My hairs look perfectly fine.

"You-"

As I turned around the lights went off and darkness surrounded me. "Robert?" I asked as I used my hands to guide me in the room. "Hailey... stay wherever you are. Do not leave the room" he said and I could hear footsteps across the room.

The lights were on the next second and I sighed in relief.

"Do you have Nyctophobia?" Robert said as he came towards me.

"No... but, you know. Everyone is afraid of the dark"

"Nope, there is nothing like that" he winked and came closer. "At least I am not. So, call me whenever you are in a dark place"

I smiled at him. "You have changed, you know that?" I asked him as his hand went up to tuck a hair behind my ears.

The breakfast was already ready, so no issue. "I wanna go to work with you," I said.

"Nope. Next week" he said as we got up after breakfast.

"But, Robert-"

"Please Hailey," he said and picked up his stuff.

"Okay, boss"

"Yeah, true! I forgot I am your boss" he chuckled and checked his watch. "Bye"

"Bye Boss!"

"But call me Robert" he stopped and said.

"Okay, Robert. Come back soon... and today, eat your lunch!' I said and ran back to my room, leaving a confused Robert behind.

After he left for the office, I decided to prepare something for him. I don't know what he likes, so I should probably do anything that enlightens a human.

So, I decided to meet the children of the orphanage with him. Children. Everyone loves them, don't they?

So, I set up a meeting with the orphanage and told them that we wanted to give them some donations and that we wanted to meet children.

They hung up saying that if we do this, our future will be beautiful.

I am so happy, even if nothing is happening, I am sure that he would love to meet those children. They will make him happy. It is good to work.

Oh yeah, I also heard that Max is gonna be discharged tomorrow. He is almost fine now. He was shot many times in the past months. I hope he is alright now.

Everything is fine with us... I mean, about me and Max. Robert doesn't misunderstand our relationship now. I am happy about that too.

All I am not happy about is... I wanna meet mom.

And I am gonna ask him about that soon. And something in me tells me that he will allow me.
