Hailey's POV

After the mediatic mess, we went back and he looked at me. "You were good"

"Can I go now...?" I asked him as he closed the door of the entrance.

He looked at me like he was thinking something. "You know? You wanna meet Nicholson?"

Nicholson?

Robert's foe?

"H-Him?"

"So, you know him..." he smirked. "Good. Just wait here" he left the house.

I don't know who Nicholson is, but looking at the facts, I am not the happiest to meet him.

After an hour, someone entered the living room with a face mask on. "He is Nicholson," Ervin said while bowing to him, as he was his boss.

I nodded and that man came to me.

He was... it looked like I knew him. It was kind of personal. I felt a kind of aura that I knew him.

He looked at me, I mean, his face was towards me and then he took out a knife and kept it near my neck.

My breath hitched up.

What else were you expecting, Hailey!!

I started crying, terrified by the situation. "Shh. Don't cry" he whispered.

I sobbed more. "Okay, I am removing it, but don't cry"

He removed it and I sighed in relief. Suddenly I heard the door break open and Robert was there with tears in his eyes. Robert's POV

I never knew what was going on.

Does she love him?

This early?

We... We just got divorced.

I-I mean, we weren't even divorced when she did that.

I sat down on the couch and was gonna drink when suddenly Ron came running.

"Found something, boss," he said.

"What?" I looked at him irritated.

"Alex and Ervin are on one side. Ervin works for Alex. And right now, Hailey is with them"

"What? Maybe... Alex is protecting her?"

"This" he handed me his phone and some security footage was playing. "Our secret cameras recorded it"

"You have secret cameras there? How?"

"He is stupid, he has not taken Hailey to any secure building. I put those cameras after that incident... the media one"

I looked at him and then back at the phone. The room is the living room in the footage, and it has nothing.

But wait. I see Hailey. And Ervin. They talked about something and Ervin left. I fast-forwarded and stopped when he returned.

I could see that he brought someone with him. It was a... masked guy. Nicholson. Alex.

And... what the fuck!

He is threatening her with a knife!

I threw the phone. "Ron, call all of my men, we are going there right now. I want every single man at work!" I yelled and ran towards my car and drove off.

I reached this place and busting the door down, I entered the place. I saw Alex and Ervin and Hailey there. Ervin was smirking at me and I saw Hailey both shocked and relieved to see me.

It felt good that she was relieved to see me.

I didn't realize that I was crying. I went inside and Alex came forward.

"Welcome, Robert," his voice was different.

"What do you want?" I asked straight away.

The Mafia doesn't work this way. Being the biggest Mafia, I can't attack anyone unless they are ready. They can fight or surrender, but I can't suddenly attack without notice.

"You know what? I will rather fight" he replied and I was shocked.

Guess, he has lost his brain.

He will die in this fight. My team is at least 10x better.

Either he has a plan... but no backup plan can save him.

I nodded my head. "If that's what you wish for"

I ordered my men to come inside by my earbud and his whole house was filled with my people. Soon his people came too and the gunshot started.

It was good that Hailey was somewhere behind a couch or something. After just 20 minutes, most of his men were lying dead, while some of them ran away. About 10 of my men were dead too, but I had many more. "You lost" I pointed my gun towards him, but I heard his sadist laugh.

"You think so?"

"You lost, accept it"

"I don't have a weakness, but you do" he smirked and I saw him pulling Hailey towards him and he pointed his gun at her. I saw her almost crying.

"D-Don't you dare!"

"Then do what I say" he smirked and I nodded hesitantly. "Bend down on your knees and beg me for forgiveness"

My heart was burning as I felt helpless. A Mafia boss is all about respect. If I do this... my empire will always be disrespected. In this world, anyone would rather die than do this.

"NOW!!" he yelled and removed the safety again from his gun.

"No, wait... I-I am" I threw my gun away and was going to bend down.

"Wait, Robert!" Hailey yelled and I stopped in my tracks.

I saw her snatching Alex's gun. Her hands were trembling as she pointed them towards him. "I... I will kill you" she whispered and yelled the same thing again.

"You can't kill me, Hailey," he said, this time in his normal voice.

I saw Hailey's eyes showing pure shock. "N-No, it's... it's not you..." she mumbled.

Alex took out his mask and Hailey almost stopped breathing. She was hyperventilating. I went to her. I touched her shoulder, but she didn't react. I saw tears leaving her eyes.
