His Alpha Queen -
Chapter 40
**Kataleya's
POV**
I was nervous about having to meet his parents and even about telling the rest of my family about Justin, but it went rather well.
I wasn't sure if Justin had told his family anything about us or our relationship, or lack thereof. They seemed...happy to physically meet me. I had met Justin's father several times previously, since he is one of the top warriors for the pack and I had met his mother just a few times in passing.
We are now on our way to our mystery destination. Justin refused to tell me anything about the place we were going to.
Justin has held my hand since right after we passed over the pack territory line. He didn't ask, which was a shock, and just reached over and grabbed my hand. His hand did feel nice in mine. I liked the soothing feel of the tingles and sparks as they ran up the length of my arm.
We were now pulling into what I assume is our first destination..
The Belmont Performing Arts Center.
He parked the car and sat there for a few moments in silence.
"Michael told me that you enjoy musicals and plays...and he told me about some of the ones that you wanted to see live. So, I did some research and realized that we were near a performing arts center that just happened to be showing one of the musicals that you had been wanting to see. Luckily, I had some connections because the show was completely out."
I looked closer at the front of the building. When I saw the poster for the Hamilton musical, I squealed.
Justin laughed while he placed his hands over his ears at my loud squeal.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I excitedly exclaimed.
Justin gets out of the car and walks to my side and opens my door and holds his hand out to me.
"Will you do me the honor of accompanying me tonight?" he asked. "Of course."
I grabbed his hand and he helped me out of the car and we walked to the front to the ticket master. Justin lets them know that he has a reservation under his name and they let us in. We mingled around for a few minutes and he bought me a drink for the play, a Hamilton tshirt, and the musical soundtrack.
We made our way to our seats and I was speechless at the spot he was able to reserve for us at the last minute. We had our own private box on the right side of the stage. We sat down next to each other and I hesitantly laid my head on his shoulder. "Thank you," I mumbled.
"You are welcome, my love. I hope you enjoy your surprise."
"I love it. Thank you for going the extra mile and learning what I like, so you can cater our date to my liking."
This was incredibly thoughtful of him. I just assumed when he asked to take me out that we would end up going to a nice dinner and maybe a movie. I never imagined that we would be able to see my favorite musical of all time.
The lights dim and the narrator gives the basic information before the play opens. Justin placed his arms around my shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze. Throughout the first act, Justin kept his arm around me. I would hum the songs or sometimes sing them quietly under my breath. Each time I did this, I would glance over at Justin and see that he was watching me with a smile on his face.
Once the first act was over, I rushed to use the bathroom and then headed back inside. Once I sat back in my seat, Justin wrapped his arm around me again.
"Who is your favorite character, Kat?"
"Hmmm...that is a tough question. I like Angelica Schuyler, but I like Lafayette too. I like the spunk that Angelica has. Sometimes, Angelica reminds me of myself when I was younger before everything happened. I love the Schuyler Sister song. Lafayette is everyone's favorite French man, of course. Who is your favorite character?"
"I don't really have a favorite character, love. I have only heard of this musical in passing, but I have never heard the songs or seen any of the renditions of it that are on the TV. If I had to choose tonight, I would say my favorite is Alexander Hamilton." I gasped mockingly at his response. He does not look like a musical type of guy. I laughed at his response, "Do you even like musicals or plays?"
He shook his head. "Nope, not at all. This is the only one that I have ever seen. However, I wanted to make you happy. I wanted this to be something special for you. Something you would cherish. Even though I never cared for them, you do, which was enough of a reason to take you. I have another surprise for you after the play too."
The lights dimmed again as the second act began to play. We watched the second act and Justin continued to keep his arm around me, occasionally rubbing my shoulder. I sometimes caught him watching me with a smile on his face.
Once the play was over, he told me that we needed to wait until the theatre cleared. So, we sat back and waited until the very last person left the theatre.
We left our seats and made our way to the cast members' entrance.
"Are we doing what I think we are doing?" I looked at him excitedly.
He gave me a small smirk, but didn't respond. As soon as we made it backstage and I saw the first set of cast members, I let out another squeal. Justin laughed as he mind-linked me, 'I have a friend that is part of the travelling company and he was the one that hooked me up with the tickets. He, also, hooked me up with a small meet and greet for you after the show. It helps that my friend is another werewolf, so he understood the importance of impressing you. Plus, he loves what he calls 'puppy love,' aka young love. He is crazy, but we grew up together in my old pack. He plays one of your favorite roles, none other than Lafayette.'
I giggled at how he described his friend.
We spent an hour and a half talking with the cast and crew for Hamilton before Justin told me that we needed to leave before he missed our dinner reservations. His friend walked us out of the theatre to Justin's car.
"I hope you enjoyed the show, Kataleya. I can tell Justin definitely has himself a good one. You should have heard him gushing about you to me when he was trying to convince me to hook him up with some tickets." "Thank you so much, Mr. Hartley. I thoroughly enjoyed the show."
"Girl, how many times do I need to tell you that you do not need to be so formal with me. You can just call me Tyson or you can call me what I am usually called by Justin."
"What do you usually call him, Justin?"
Justin rubs the back of his neck before responding, "Um...typically it is a*****e or...cock juggling thunder cunt..."
I laughed. I was definitely not expecting that. There has to be a story for his second nickname.
"Why in the world do you have a name like that?"
They both laughed before Justin answered me. "Well, before he left to aspire to his dreams of being a performer, he had a girlfriend who was uber extra. Young Tyson here managed to piss off the girl by accidentally kissing her twin sister, which rightfully pissed her off. So, in their fight, she called him a cock juggling thunder cunt and the name stuck. When he pisses me off, I tend to call him that. Sometimes I call him that just for the hell of it."
I laughed at his explanation. Justin opens my door for me and I go to get into the car. "Thank you again for the tickets and the meet and greet. Appreciate it. I really do. I hope we can meet up again sometime! I would love to hear more stories from when you and Justin were growing up."
"No problem, Kataleya. I would be more than happy to give you more stories about Justin. I have a ton of stories!
I laughed as I shut the door and Justin went to get in the car after giving his friend a hug goodbye.
"Are you hungry, love?"
"Actually, yes. I am ravenous."
"Good, I have the perfect place for dinner."
I laughed, "Of course you do. Let me guess, I am not allowed to know this one either?"
"Nope. Not a chance. It is a surprise, but I am sure that you are going to love it."
