His Curvy Mate -
Chapter 9
Willa crawled out of the way, her breathing still a struggle, her throat burning. She turned in time to see Xander shift into the most beautiful black wolf she’d ever seen. He was huge, sleek, and majestic. The wolf immediately bound forward, tearing into Greer, ripping flesh from bone. The man cried out, flinging Tyson off his back and trying to pull the wolf off his leg.
Tyson began to shake, his body morphing into a dark-gray wolf. He wasn’t as large as his father, but the snarl and flash of fangs were no less intimidating. Both wolves attacked the man who was now part man, part wolf, in a hideous mix of creatures. His pack of wolves started to surround them, but a few ran off. She imagined it would be hard to stay loyal to such a hateful alpha.
She screamed Xander’s name as Greer, now in wolf form, fought back in a vicious battle of claws, teeth, and power. Willa continued to shuffle backward, not wanting to stand up and bring attention to herself. She’d be no match for any of these beasts. It was becoming a blur, difficult to tell which were the good and bad wolves.
It was like living in a horror film—the sounds, the b***d, and heart-pounding fear.
The sounds coming from the melee were terrifying. Purely animalistic. What if Xander didn’t come out of this alive? They were outnumbered, and there was nothing she could do to help them.
She was nestled up in some thickets, but that didn’t mean she was safe. A low growling came from her left. It was a wolf, b***d dripping from its mouth. She attempted to scream for Xander, but no sound came out. She was too terrified, frozen in place, and unable to move or speak.
Her heart raced, her breath coming in quick, short gasps. So many thoughts ran through her mind, her life seeming to flash before her eyes.
Then he was there.
Her savior.
Her alpha.
Her mate.
Xander’s black wolf wrenched the threat away by the neck, tossing him in a display of pure strength and power. His eyes were almost holographic as he stared back at her. For some reason, she felt the connection. It was Xander, but it wasn’t.
She wanted to reach out and touch him, to sink her fingers into his thick, lush coat of fur. But he was gone as soon as he appeared. He fought like a savage beast, making the other wolves look like pet dogs as he destroyed them or sent them running. Tyson fought alongside his father, but it was Xander who took control. He was the epitome of an alpha, and all hers.
He finished off the threat from the pack of wolves, one by one, until it was just Tyson and Greer left. They were all in their human form now, covered in mud and grime. She was grateful that Tyson wore a scrap of clothing like a loincloth. It saved her that awkwardness. He wasn’t just Xander’s son, but he was also her student.
During the battle, Xander had toyed with Greer, injuring him just enough so he couldn’t flee while handling the rest of the threat.
Greer was on the ground, Xander standing over him. Even after battle, his body was lithe and muscular, like a work of art.
“Kill me, go on and do it!” Greer roared.
Xander shook his head. “It’s not my place. That honor belongs to my son, the next in line to my pack. You killed his mother and used him to your advantage, trying to tear us apart. All I’ve ever done was sacrifice for Tyson. Even now, he deserves to end you, not me.”
She watched in horror, knowing what had to be done, but still replaceing it hard to watch a human be killed. This was far from life in her world, the one with strict laws and societal structure. Willa closed her eyes. There wasn’t much noise at all. When she peeked, it was clear Greer was dead, b***d leaking from his neck, his eyes glazed over in death.
She’d never seen a dead person before. There were a lot of firsts happening today.
“It’s over now,” Xander said, his voice deep and reassuring.
“I’m sorry, Dad.”
“You didn’t know. I was planning to tell you, but he got his claws into you first.”
“I’ll never wander again, never question your orders,” Tyson said.
Willa could hear the sincerity in his voice. The poor boy had been through so much, and most of his life was a lie. It was time to put hate aside and really live—as human and wolf.
They both approached her, Xander reaching down to help her to her feet. His hand was so warm.
“Are you okay?” His hands were everywhere, checking for the slightest injury.
“I’m okay. I’m fine, Xander.”
“I thought I’d lost you. You have no idea how crazy that made me feel.”
She shook her head. “No, it’s my fault. I should have believed you when you tried to tell me the truth about your wolf. I guess it freaked me out. I reacted without thinking.”
“Perfectly understandable. You’re a human. All of this is new.”
Willa didn’t care that he was covered in b***d and mud. She wrapped her arms around him, craving someone to ground her after everything she’d witnessed. Her life had been tossed upside down, and she still needed to get her footing with all these new revelations.
“I’ve got you, baby.” He held her head to his ch3st, k!ssing her hair. She could hear his heart beating. He was very much alive, even though not fully human.
“We should get out of here,” Tyson said. “I have tutoring in an hour.”
They all laughed.
“I think your tutor won’t mind if you miss today. Maybe a few days,” Xander said.
He watched in awe as his mate explored the grounds around his home. It was like seeing everything new through her eyes. Her sweet innocence pulled him in again and again.
“It’s breathtaking…”
“The sun sets in that direction,” he said, pointing to the valley below. Now he wouldn’t have to sit alone and watch the natural beauty of his land. He’d have a mate to enjoy life’s simple pleasures with.
“You have the perfect vantage point.”
“You’re right. I do.”
When she turned around to replace him staring at her, she blushed. He scented her change in mood, her embarrassment and hint of desire.
Nearly a month had passed since the huge drama had unfolded back in the city with Greer and Tyson. Willa had wanted to tie up all her loose ends and give notice to the university so they could replace another part-time librarian. She was easily replaced at work, but not in his life.
She walked back toward him.
“I’m so glad Tyson’s taking to university now.”
“Just took a new frame of mind to change his perspective. He’s heir to an empire, and we must keep up with the times.”
His son was intelligent and more than capable of completing his degree. It was his hatred of humans and humanity in general that had tainted his views on everything, all fueled by Greer and his lies. Now he had the proper focus he needed to succeed.
Xander couldn’t be prouder of his son.
Willa touched his chest, resting her palm over his heart.
He put his hand over hers. “Can you be happy here?” he asked.
He’d taken her away from everything she knew. Xander didn’t want her to resent him in the future.
“I already am. What did I leave behind, Xander? You’ve seen that apartment I lived in. There isn’t much I’ll miss about the city. Or my life.”
“You’re everything to me, Willa.”
He’d fully stocked his library in the house, and he hoped to surprise her with it later. She loved reading, and he didn’t want to take anything away from her. Right now, he wanted to christen their bedroom. It would be their first night in their forever bed as a mated couple.
They walked hand in hand along the cobblestone path to the garden doors to his bedroom. He sensed his packmates in the distance, keeping patrols of their land.
“And you’re sure you’re okay with my wolf?”
“Xander, you’ve asked me that a thousand times. The wolf is part of who you are, so I love him too. I have a lot to learn, but I promise I’m not afraid of you. Not anymore.”
His c0ck hardened, and he fell even more in love with her.
Once inside the bedroom, their bedroom, he pinned her against the wall.
She gasped but didn’t question him.
“You know what I am now,” he said. “I’m a wolf, but I’m also an alpha. Do you know what that means?”
Willa swallowed hard. “You’re the boss?”
He shook his head. “I take control.”
She l!cked her l!ps.
“Are you wet for me, Willa?”
“See for yourself.”
He loved this woman. She was so shy and conservative when they were in public but a wildcat in the bedroom. He’d taken her virginity, so she was all his in every way.
Xander slid his hand into the front of her leggings, under the edge of her p*nties. He pushed lower until he was able to press two fingers deep into her cunt.
She exhaled on a m0an, tossing her head back. His mate was ripe, her pvssy we*t and needy.
“Well?” she asked.
“Quite wet. I’d say you’re ready to be fvcked.”
“You would know. You’re the alpha.”
He used his thumb to tease her cl!t, slipping his free hand up her shirt to cup one of her big t!ts. She drove him crazy. Every soft curve made his wolf turn nearly feral with desire.
She closed her eyes, sinking down onto his fingers.
“Please, Xander…”
He loved the sound of her begging, but he wouldn’t let her suffer long. Xander pulled back, then scooped her up into his arms. Their large bed wasn’t far, the centerpiece in the large room. It had four wooden posts with intricate carvings of wolves and trees intertwined. He’d commissioned the bed years ago.
Xander set her down, then immediately spread her legs wide at the knees. He rubbed his face against her pvssy, her tights a barrier between them.
“I love your scent. So wanton, so perfect.”
“I need you, Xander.”
He stood to his full height, tugging off those offending tights and p*nties and tossing them aside. Her soft, pale skin looked edible. Delicious. He had to remind himself his mate was human and delicate, so he had to hold back a degree.
He trailed k!sses along her inner th!ghs, making her quiver. She bit her l!p as she watched him, and it was the s*xiest thing he’d ever seen. When he crawled over her body, he k!ssed her hard on the mouth. He wanted to own her, claim her, and cover her in his scent.
They separated only long enough for him to pull off his shirt and kick off his p*nts. Willa wiggled out of her shirt, her t!ts jiggling. They couldn’t get n*ked fast enough. When he dropped down over her, skin to skin, his c0ck grew even harder.
“I don’t know where to start. You’re a feast, and my wolf is hungry.”
“Start between my legs. You always tell me how much you love it there.”
He growled. Damn, he loved eating her pvssy. “Such a good girl.”
Xander held his weight off her, lowering until he had the perfect position to devour her cunt. As soon as he lapped up her folds, she cried out. She was so ready to be claimed, so sensitive to his touch.
“Yes!”
He ate her, f*****g with his tongue and svckling her little nub. Willa writhed on the bed, p*nting and grasping anything within reach. He loved watching her come apart, but today, he was only bringing her to the edge. Once she began to settle, so close to reaching her peak, be pulled away.
Her eyes were hooded, her l!ps parted as she looked at him. “Why did you stop?”
“I want you to come all over my c0ck, Willa. I want to fill you with my cvm.”
He climbed over her, dropping down just to k!ss her. The heat of her body scorched him. She was breathtaking, her hair in stark contrast with his navy bedding. Xander reached between them, lining up his thick er*ction with her we*t pvssy. Then he slammed in balls deep.
Willa arched up to meet him, gr0aning like a she-wolf.
She drove his beast wild, b***d pumping to his er*ction. He thrust inside her, over and over, f*****g her, claiming her. Xander got to enjoy this body for the rest of his life. He no longer had to worry about proving himself because his mate accepted him for what he was. It was a relief, a gift he’d never take for granted.
Her nails raked across his back, and a sudden o****m took her by surprise. She gasped, her pvssy milking his c0ck on and on and on.
When her grip on him eased, he pumped his h**s harder, finally allowing himself to come inside his woman, filling her with his seed.
Willa would make an excellent mother, and he planned to breed her, fill her with his babies.
He dropped down beside her, the mattress briefly jostling.
“I can’t move,” she said.
Xander chuckled. “It’s okay. You rest. Everything else can wait.”
“Not the sunset. I have to recuperate before then.”
He k!ssed her forehead. “We have a lifetime together. So many dreams to fulfill and memories to make.”
“I love you, Xander. You and your wolf.”
He stroked her hair as her eyes gradually closed. Never did he expect to replace happiness with a mate, but here he was in heaven.
