His Lethal Love
Chapter 59

Scott POV.

"How am I looking?" Rika chirped while appearing out of nowhere. I frowned at her metallic bodycon dress which fitted her hourglass figure like a second skin.

"Awful, change it immediately," I spoke sharply and turned around to see myself in a mirror and buttoned up my handcuffs. "How dare you?" Her nostril flared in fury. "Awful? How could you call me that, jakas."

I turned around to stare into her eyes. "We're not going to a nightclub, so wear something sensible. I don't usually judge women by their dressing sense or fashion style but this needs to be changed, Rika. You're playing the role of my secretary. If the media spots us together and with you, in this attire, they will certainly make a fuss about it. I am not craving attention at this moment. My wife already has done a good job making my name infamous across the world." "Okay, fine. I'm changing it," she hissed and stormed out of my room. She punched the elevator button, the door dinged open before she stepped inside and rode down.

We were staying at one of my properties in London. I was in my penthouse suite while she was staying in one of the rooms in the hotel. Rika was delighted to be in such a luxurious place. She told me she had never been to London though it was her dream place. The best part about our conversation was when she talked about Camille. I was surprised to replace out how much she knew about her. Though there was still bitterness in her tone, I like to talk to her.

"I'm ready." I heard her voice fifteen minutes later. That time she wore a black satin dress with her blonde hair bouncing on her shoulders softly. She had her lips bright pink and her eyes were smokey.

"Gorgeous," I said with a smile, and her eyes widened in surprise.

"What did you just say?"

"You look gorgeous." I walked up to her and tugged her arm with mine and led her into my private elevator.

"Thanks." she plastered a smile and removed her arm from mine. "I know how to walk, you don't need to lead me like a baby."

"I'm just being a gentleman to you."

"Aww, thanks." She flipped her hair back arrogantly. "But I'm cool, sweetheart."

"Well, fine." The elevator rode to the ground floor in the parking lot. I fished out car keys from my pants and opened the door, sliding behind the wheel. Rika sat in the passenger seat and buckled up her seat belt. "I've given you my daily schedule. Have you memorized it?" I asked her.

"Oops, I forgot about it. Is it necessary to follow all these formalities? Can't you introduce me as your friend instead of your secretary?"

"The world knows I don't make female friends."

She rolled her eyes and leaned against the seat. "I couldn't replace time for this shit as I was tired from hours of traveling." She looked at me with a she-devil smile. "Is Camille going to attend this party?"

"I'm not sure about that woman but her partners are going to attend this party."

"Don't address her 'that woman', idiot. I am damn sure she is my Camille."

I didn't bother to reply to her and focused my eyes on the street. My heart did a strange kind of flutter thinking of that woman. She had Camille's face. She looked exactly like her. But there was something in there that couldn't settle in my heart. What would happen if she was Camille Davidson? How would I meet her eyes? How would I talk to her? How would I ask for her forgiveness? What about her baby? I remembered she was pregnant. Damn!

It was too damn much for me to stomach.

"Here we go," Rika sang in excitement when we arrived at the venue. The party took place in the Leonardo Royal Hotel, which was one of the finest hotels in London. The doorkeepers quickly opened the door for us and welcomed us with polite smiles. One of the men approached us and took our coats. "They treat us like we've come from the royal family." Rika laughed and tugged her arm around mine.

"My secretary doesn't match my steps," I whispered.

"But I'm not your stupid secretary." Rika snorted.

I brushed her arm away from me and headed to Gilbert who used to work for my studio years ago.

"Mr. Martinez, it's great to have you here," he cracked up and shook my hand firmly. "What brought you here?"

"Work." I smiled tightly and glanced around the hall. People were drinking, chattering, and laughing. I spotted various businessmen, celebrities, and models from across the world but she was nowhere in sight. I didn't even know whether she was going to attend that party or not. I hoped she would because I was desperate to meet her. She had Camille's face or she might be Camille herself.

Suddenly, my eyes were caught by Rika who was standing near a bar counter and talking to one of the waitresses. I couldn't miss how she was flirting with her. Clenching my jaw I paced toward her and grabbed her arm, ripping her away from the waitress.

"What do you think you are doing?" I hissed out, looking around our surroundings and making sure no one was listening to us.

"I'm just talking to her," she pouted, glancing past me at the waitress and giving her a flirty wink. "She is hot, isn't she?"

"We have not come here for fun, honey," I gritted my teeth out, stepping up to her and making her retreat. "We have only one motive here..." I leaned over her. "To replace out about your fake Camille."

"Can you step back from me because you're scaring the hell out of me with that look in your eyes?" she said with a hint of nervousness. "I'm just having a bit of fun, nothing more, idiot." "Stop calling me that!" I warned her.

"Aren't you too bossy? I don't know how poor Maura puts up with your damn attitude."

"Poor Maura?" I frowned, scoffing. "You might ask her by yourself."

She rolled her eyes, heaving a long sigh. "Can I have a drink?"

"Yeah, as long as you don't get yourself drunk."

"One glass won't hurt me, sweetheart."

"Mr. Martinez," a woman called me out, heading toward me. My eyebrows snapped together when she threw herself in my arms and hugged me tightly.

"Whoa whoa! What are you doing, girl?" Rika held her arm, trying to rip her away from me. "You can't hug my boss like that, little lady."

"I'm a huge fan of yours." I was surprised to see tears in the girl's eyes. "You are just..." her voice cracked as she tried to hold back her tears. "I'm sorry I just.."

"No, it's fine." I smiled at her, glancing at Rika who was rolling her eyes in annoyance. "What's your name?"

"Celestria," she replied, cleaning her face with a tissue. Her cheeks turned red. "My father's name is Adam Tristan. You might know about him."

"Adam Tristan. Is he the same popular record producer?" I asked.

"Yup." she smiled, blushing hard. "I've asked my father to bring me here once I heard you are attending this party."

"Nice to meet you, Celestria."

"Would you.." she hesitated a bit. "Would you like to dance with me?"

"Celestria.." before I could complete myself she pleaded with me.

"Only a few seconds." I couldn't say no when she held my hand and led me to the floor. I heard people whispering, cheering, and clapping for us. I placed my hand on her waist gently and she put hers on my shoulder. She let out a shy smile when our bodies moved with the soft music of the piano.

"What do you do, Celestria?" I asked when I felt her nervousness.

"I'm studying law at Oxford University."

"Wow!" I swirled her around and around, making her laugh. "You're such a genius.." I forgot to speak further when my eyes caught a familiar woman. My grip around Celestria's hand loosened and my mouth agape opened in pure shock. She came closer and closer to me until I could get her complete look. She looked exactly the same as Camille. She wore a silver slit dress with her long dark hair slicked back.

She looked incredible! Every eye in the hall was settled on her. Every man was watching her as she was walking so gracefully and elegantly. For a moment I forgot to breathe when she turned to me and our gaze locked. Seconds passed but I was unable to take fucking breath and blinked my eyes. It felt like if I did that she would disappear from my eyes.

Suddenly, Celestria shook my hand to get my attention. I snapped my head at her and gave an apologetic smile. "I need to leave." I nodded at her with a smile before planting a small kiss on her cheek and walking away. I rushed to Camille but in a split second, she faded into the crowd.

"Shit!" I hissed and scurried through people but she was nowhere in the sight. I went into the hallway, examining it. I scanned the garden and patio but she did not replace any of these places. Letting out an exasperated sigh I returned to the hall and looked at Rika.

"Boss!" I heard her voice as she was rushing toward me on the other side of the left and waving her hand. "I'm here!"

"I saw her," I said as soon as Rika approached me. "I saw your fake Camille."

"Where did you see her?" she asked excitedly, turning her head around to see her. "Shit! I missed it. What was I doing? Where did you see her? How was she? Prettier or uglier? I bet you have got a boner to see her sexy figure. I have read a lot of stuff about her..."

"Shut up!" I cut her sharp. "We need to replace her."

"Yeah, let's get back to our work. You go there and I will search her this side..." she instructed as if we came on some sort of mission.

"Betty..." suddenly a masculine voice interrupted our conversation as we snapped our heads at the voice and found Conan Arthur, standing huge and tall in a black suit.

Fucking shocked! And the realization hit my core hard. She was no one but Camille Davidson. If Conan was alive that meant Camille was also alive.

I looked at Conan whose eyes were fixed on Rika. He was staring at her as if he was watching a ghost. His expression was pale.

"Crap!" Rika blurted out.

"What crap?" I asked, glancing between them.

"He is my Crap!" Rika shouted, catching the attention of a couple of people standing near us. They broke into laughter when Rika chirped again. "He is my Crap."

"Rika, what are you speaking?" I grabbed her arm to stop her from jumping like a lunatic. "Watch your mouth. You're in a public place."

"Conan..." I looked at him but his eyes glared at Rika. I noticed his face flustered with fury and his fingers balled into a fist. Was he going to punch us? He looked angrier. Before I could speak further he advanced on Rika and hovered over her, scowling at her. There was something in between them I couldn't figure out. Did they know each other? What was their relationship? Lava dropped from Conan's face as he was stepping closer to Rika, intimidating her. "Get off her," I said, pushing him away.

"I found you, Betty," Conan smiled dangerously, eyeing Rika from head to toe. "Let's pick up what had been left incomplete twelve years ago."
