"Nomp!" she tried to break the kiss.

The phone started ringing but Nick didn't seem to hear or care instead, he coaxed her lips to open. She frowned a little. Looks like he had been drinking. His breath smells of alcohol. She soon stopped resisting. Her man was unstoppable anyway. After the kiss, he had to explain why he smelled of alcohol early in the morning.

The sound of their wet tongues lapping and their moans filled the room. Then they heard a loud knock.

Nick was reluctant to let her go but he knew she would get angry if someone would see them kissing passionately at his office. They broke the kiss before the door opened.

"Sir. Mr. Adams is here. I tried calling you on line 1 but..." his secretary sounded a bit embarrassed.

Nick's hands were still framing her face but he threw Cherry a glance. "Tell him to come back later." he ordered.

"No! Talk to him now. I have to go." she said after getting away from him.

"NO! We need to talk!"

"He is your client." She turned to go but he took hold of her arm.

"Dammit honey! We'll talk!"

Cherry looked uncomfortable but she couldn't go unless she got a clear instruction from Nick.

"It's not talk you want! Look what just happened a few moments ago! Besides there is nothing to talk about! No wait! You have some explaining to do! Have you been drinking this morning?!" she asked angrily. She didn't care anymore if Cherry could hear them.

She glared at him when he said a very bad word. Cherry looked so surprised because it was the first time she heard him cursed.

Easy Alcantara..easy. Nick advised himself.

He was about to blow his top. He had no food but alcohol since last night. He didn't want her to leave but he couldn't do anything and now he was sexually frustrated.

"You are already drunk at this time of the day? And what would your staff think if they discovered your state?" she turned, 'Please Cherry, keep mum about this okay?" The secretary nodded.

"I am not drunk! I know what I am doing!" Nick rasped.

Her eyes went back to him. " You know that you are working today so why did you drink?!"

"Because you weren't in our bed! I wanted to make love to you the whole f*cking night but you chose to stay at your friend's unit! Dammit!!" he said through gritted teeth.

She gasped. How could he say such things when there was another person in the room? Cherry's eyes widened and her mouth formed an O. She sighed heavily before glowering at Nick. After a moment of two, she walked out of his office.

She chose to work outside next to Cherry's desk. Nick's meeting with Mr. Adams ended but she still didn't go back in his office. To her surprise, he didn't call her to ask her to return nor went out to get her. She was focused on the laptop's monitor when he finally came out. She automatically looked at him but he didn't look back.

"Miss Mendez, if someone calls tell them that I will be back on Monday. Get all the signed documents on my table." he said tonelessly before heading for the lift. Cherry just nodded and glanced at her but said nothing. The other employees just exchanged looks too.

Her eyes became half slits. She looked at the time. It was almost 12 PM. He totally ignored her. He didn't ask her to eat out for lunch and didn't even say goodbye to her. She wondered where he was going. She tried to get back to work but from time to time she checked her watch. She lost her appetite so she skipped lunch. She had the sudden urge to call Nick but she was controlling herself. A lot of things kept playing in her mind.

Was he with another woman? He said he was sexually frustrated. She almost groaned due to anxiety.

Now it was past 4 PM but still no message or call from him. She was worried that he took what she said seriously. She repeated to twice to him that he was her ex already. She was thinking that maybe he did want to break up with her so finally he could taste other women. He was probably tired of her. Cherry's voice made her turn to her direction. She pointed to the paper she had been holding in her hand. She sighed when she realized that she crumpled the design she was making out of annoyance.

'I didn't like it. I will make a new one." she lied and Cherry just smiled at her.

"Stacey." called Nick's driver.

She sighed in relief. At last Nick asked him to fetch her. She stood and was ready to get her purse.

"Your car key. It's parked in the basement parking." he handed her the key.

She hoped no one noticed the disappointment on her face and tone when she said thank you

(Nick)

He was glad that he became busy. At least he was able to take his mind off his woman for a few hours. That stopped him from calling and texting her too. He had to meet his father and his older brother. They visited the site for their new business. They also talked to some people that would be a part of their team. Now he was with Billy. They were in one of their favorite bars. He wanted to call Stacey but his friend said he should let her be until she cooled down. He told her they had an argument but he didn't give all the details. Only his family knew the whole truth.

"Let's just chill since since it's the weekend tomorrow." Billy said before gulping some booze.

He nodded and swallowed some of his whiskey. He then checked his phone. Stacey's car is in the vicinity of Eve's place so he had nothing to worry about. He was satisfied that the tracking device was working well. He raised his glass at Billy before gulping again. He wanted to get drunk tonight. He didn't want to go home sober in his lonely condo. He would missed her more. He was hoping that tomorrow his woman would decide to lift all the rules because they had been pissing him off big time.

(Stacey)

"What do you want to do?" She asked Eve.

"Let's go bar-hopping! Let's use your car! That is one hell of a car! You lucky girl!

She frowned. "I don't think that's a good idea."

"Oh come on! Don't be a spoilsport! Anyway Nick doesn't need to know and besides you are not officially together at the moment right? So let's go! I will drive. "

Eve was right so she just said yes. There was no use staying home the whole night. They could sleep in tomorrow anyway.

"Okay. I'll get ready."

"Whoaa girlfriend! You look hot!" Eve complimented her when she got out of the bedroom.

"You are exaggerating as usual. " she shook her head.

She got some of her stuff at Nick's

after she got off work. She was wearing an off shoulder loose grey top and low faded jeans which were shaping her lower torso like a glove. She had black wedge shoes on. She curled her hair a bit and it was loose on her shoulders. She applied minimal make-up.

"You are sizzling girlfriend and we are so partying tonight! " Eve said excitedly.

The other members of Eve's band were at the bar. She was handed a glass of tequila which she refused at first but in the end, she was persuaded.

"That's okay girlfriend! This might be

your last because once you and Nick become okay again, I doubt it if he will allow you to go out like this." She said close to her ear because the music was a bit loud.

She nodded. She would have fun even only for tonight.

Nick's other friend arrived and

fet

oceans of booze were on their table. He chose not to drink too much yet since the night was still young. He wanted to just chill first. Billy was talking to Liam and John and once in a while he joined the conversation. He then remembered to check his phone again. His eyes became half-slits. Stacey's car was parked near the bar where he was. He knew this place like the back of his hand. He swore and his friends turned to look at him.

"I have to go!" he told them through gritted teeth.

"Oh my gosh Stacey! You drink like a fish!" Rebecca commented and she just giggled.

"Girlfriend! That cute guy who had been checking you out is walking to us!" Eve said with a giggle too.

With a silly grin she turned to where the man was. He said something to Eve first because she was sitting at the far end of the long seat. "Girlfriend! James here wants to dance with you." Eve said.

She looked at the cute guy. She shook her head because she couldn't trust herself to stand or dance. She feels a bit dizzy from alcohol.

Rebecca nudged her side. "Go girl! He's cute! Just one dance!" she whispered to her.

She glanced at James again. He held his hand to her. She sighed then stood up.

Just one dance! She told herself.

She swayed a little and Rebecca stood too to steady her. "Are you okay?"

She nodded. James got her hand and led her to the dance floor while the others left the table to go to the restroom.

Rebecca and Eve just got out of the bathroom when the latter's phone started to ring. She clumsily got it from her bag and Rebecca caught it when she almost dropped it.

"Hey careful!" She said with a giggle.

"Shhhh!" Eve raised her finger to her lips when she saw Nick was calling. "Keep quiet! It's Stacey's man! 'Lo Nick!"

"Where are you?!" came his angry voice.

"A-At home." slurred Eve then giggled.

"Don't play with games with me! Where's Stacey? She is not picking up my calls!" he rasped.

He was standing next to Stacey's car as he was talking to Eve.

"Give me that!" He heard another female's voice said.

His eyes narrowed. Obviously they have been drinking. His grip on the phone tightened. He would really punish Stacey if she was drunk too.

"Hello Stacey's boyfriend! Let her dance with James. Don't be a kill joy! It's just a dance!" Said the other female with a half-suppressed laugh.

He saw red. "F*CKING HELL!" he swore and headed towards the bar's entrance.

***

"You look and dance so hot!" James said a bit loudly so she could hear him.

He pulled her to him by his arm on her back but she pushed him a little far from her as she danced with her eyes closed.

Nick was witnessing everything. He furiously walked to them.
