** ZANE POV **

“Zane..” I heard her whimper

“what’s wrong?” I asked looking at her. Checking to see if she was hurt.

“I need you..” she whimpered out then I remember what Aaron told me about pregnant women being needy.

She pulled me kissing me hungry and I had no choice but to give what she wanted because a happy mama means a happy pup.

After we were done and showered we both went downstairs when–

“Bloom..” She squeaked practically running.

“Angel..” I heard Brook say and soon she was running too.

“Cupcake; sweetheart careful..” me and Aaron said at the same time running after them. They both met halfway giggling and hugging each other after giving me a mini heart attack these girls are too much.

“Oh my gosh, I heard everything that happened congratulations you are finally going to be a mommy..” Brook said.

“Yeah Bloom I’m so happy..” my Cupcake said happiness and excitement clear in her voice.

‘Wait..” she said, “where is BeBe I can’t see her?”

“She found her mate..” Brook said.

“She found her mate?” I asked, “and she remained in Africa..?”

” no we came with her but her mate came to pick her up from the airport probably to spend some time with each other..”

“Ohhh..” I said leaving the girls to talk going over to say hi to uncle and aunt then Aaron. After I was done I sat down my eyes on my mate who went into the kitchen with Brook telling each other stories while eating ice cream.

“I heard what happened to you both this morning..” Aaron said snapping me out of my stare.

“You love her so much I am glad you didn’t reject her otherwise it would have crushed you both..” He said and I smiled.

“Yeah I was just being foolish I can’t believe I was going to just push her outer my life but I am glad I didn’t do it either because I would have never been this happy knowing that my mate was pregnant with my pup..” I said.

“Yeah, congrats man..”

“Zane!” I heard Brook yell I quickly got up to replace cupcake passed out on the floor with b***d coming out of her nose.

“What happened to her..” I asked patting her cheeks trying to wake her up. Brook was a crying mess while I was wondering what was wrong with her all of a sudden.

“We were just talking and then she just fell..” Brook cried in Aaron’s shirt.

“Aah..” I heard her g***n.

“Cupcake are you okay?” I asked helping her up.

“Yeah kinder..” she said.

“I was so worried thank goodness you are okay..” Brook said while I lifted her (Scarlet) up bridal style.

“Where are you taking me?” She asked

“To the pack hospital..” I said in a duh tone.

“Why? I’m not sick..”

“Baby I want to know what happened and why you fainted all of a sudden I’m worried about you..” I said to her as we entered the VIP wing. The doctor was already there just like I told her to.

I placed her on the bed and soon after the doctor began checking on her.

“what’s wrong with her? Is she okay and what about the baby?.” I frantically asked the doctor.

”both of them are fine although the baby is not growing at a normal pace..”

“What do you mean doctor?” I asked going over to my mate holding her hand.

“You see she is actually three weeks pregnant but it seems she was going through depression or stress that made the baby grow at a slow pace but don’t worry she will be fine as long as she is happy and well taken care of..”

” Is that why she fainted and b***d coming out of her nose.?” I asked.

” that I don’t know alpha but I have to take some of her b***d to run tests. Make sure she gets enough rest, eats healthy foods. Once she is happy and well taken care of then the baby will start growing at a normal pace. Now excuse me I have to go run some tests..” she said bowing her head then going away while I just sat beside my mate.

Three weeks pregnant and I am replaceing out today?

Depressed? stressed? this is too much.

“Are you okay? What are you thinking about?” She asked me.

” you are three weeks pregnant,” I said.

” I guess so. How is it that we didn’t notice? Is our baby not okay Zane.?” she asked holding my hand her eyes glassy, “I don’t want to lose him. I don’t want to lose our baby Zane..” she sobbed while I hugged her. The thought of losing my pup was scary.

“No baby we won’t lose him our baby is strong just like you. He will survive okay..” I said kissing her forehead, “Don’t cry cupcake it’s not good for the baby..” I said as she sniffed hugging me tightly.

“I love you okay and we will get through this come on let’s go home..” she nodded her head and I lifted her bridal style. Going out of the room.

“I can walk you know..” she giggled.

“I know love but you look tired might as well put these muscles to good use..” I said followed by a chuckle while she laughed.

“I am hungry..” she mumbled.

“What’s wrong with her is she okay and what about the baby?” Mom asked.

“She is okay just stressed but some rest will do and the baby is okay just growing at a slow pace but as long as we take good care of her the baby will be fine..” I said as we all went back to the house but the surprise waiting for us there was one I wasn’t expecting.

** SCARLET POV***

I don’t know what happened to me. I was talking to Bloom then all of a sudden I felt light-headed and dizzy but luckily I didn’t hurt myself or the baby. But when I found out that the baby wasn’t growing at a normal pace I was extremely worried and scared I didn’t want to lose him that’s why I made a mental note to make sure I don’t stress or worry myself. It’s going to be hard but for the baby, I am willing to try.

We were walking more like Zane was walking when suddenly everyone came to a halt staring at a beautiful brown-haired girl standing on the front door with two little girls and one boy and an older man.

“Zara!!” I heard Mom, Dad, Zane, and Luka say at the same time.

“What?” I asked looking towards the front door. I can’t believe Zara was actually here!!

“Put me down..” I said to Zane who gladly listening while I looked at the lady.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Mom, Dad, and Luka fighting the urge to run to her and hug her probably because she hated them but Zane just stood shocked.

“Sister..” He said going closer to her.

“I am so glad you came to thank you..” He said pulling her into a hug which she gladly accepted.

“Let me introduce you to my mate..” Zane said motioning me to go to him.

I went there unsure because the lady Zara didn’t look friendly at all. Her face was fiery like she wanted to be anywhere else but here. But the kids and the man she was with weren’t as fiery looking as she was.

“This is Scarlet, my mate..” Zane smiled pulling me closer to him.

“Hi..” I shyly said I didn’t know whether to shake her hand or hug her.

“Hi Scarlet nice to meet you..” she said in a voice that clearly stated that she didn’t like me at all and Zane noticed it too.

“Won’t you say hi to Mom and Dad.?” Zane asked.

Zara looked at them with anger clear on her face.

“I didn’t come for chit-chat Zane you know that..” she said in a bored tone, “I only came here because you requested for me and because I care about you..” The tension was thought in the air. I was so not liking Zara at all she seemed to mean but anyway you can’t judge a book by its cover right?

“At least say hi to Lucas then or try to be a little friendly these people have nothing to do with what happened..” Zane said like she was scolding her,

“Come on Lucas..” he called. In seconds Luka was standing in front of Zara hugging the life out of her and a smile broke from her lips I can’t believe she can actually smile.

“Hi baby brother..” Zara said in a much nicer tone.

“Hi, big sis I missed you..” Luka said. I felt something tug on my shirt. Looking down it was a girl with red hair probably about eight or nine years old. She had greenish eyes and totally adorable.

“Hi..” she shyly said to me.

” Hi, Princess what’s your name?” I asked her squatting to her level.

“My name is Charlene. Are you my real Mom?” she asked me

“Charlene what did I tell you about talking to strangers come back here..” Zara scolded and I felt pain in my heart. Stranger, she literally called me a stranger!! That’s it I totally don’t like her.
