Chapter 79 Chased Out

"Stephanie, isn't this hilarious? Is your ego hurting?," Margaret's voice was very soft.

To others, it looked like Margaret was being kind as she helped Stephanie up.

"You!" Stephanie was gnashing her teeth with hatred.

This b*tch was mocking her.

She really thought she was something amazing.

The sudden anger made Stephanie become irrational. All of a sudden, she reached out and shoved Margaret away.

Margaret let out a soft cry and stumbled a few steps back.

Her delicate but fragile mermaid tail dress was torn because of Stephanie's shove.

Margaret's fair, beautiful ankle was exposed, which made her look even more alluring.

"Miss Stephanie!" Regar furrowed his brows and shouted, "Please leave this banquet!"

What?

Leave the banquet?

The moment Stephanie pushed Margaret away, she suddenly remembered that she was still at the banquet.

If she was really chased out, she would become a joke.

The headline next day was likely to read: First Star to be Chased Out of a Banquet.

"Mr. Regar, you've gone too far. After all, Riley Jewelry invited me as a guest to the banquet. How dare you chase me out!" Stephanie yelled in protest.

"You're the one who's gone too far." Mr. Regar's prominent facial features were evidently filled with disgust. He continued, "You tried to hurt our brand's spokesperson at the Riley Banquet. If you don't leave, I'll personally have security 'escort' you out."

Regar stressed the word 'escort'.

As long as one had a brain, they would know what Regar meant.

Stephanie looked as white as a sheet as her entire body started trembling uncontrollably.

She had thought that this trip to Riley Banquet would be a great time to show herself off.

She did not expect this to happen. She was dragged right through the mud and had been harshly humiliated.

"Also, I, Regar, once again announce in front of everyone that going forward, the name 'Stephanie' will never see the light of day at any event that Riley Jewelry participates in!"

Did this mean Riley Jewelry was going to blacklist Stephanie?

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Just a few days ago, Facebook had an explosion of posts saying that Stephanie was going to be the spokesperson for Riley Jewelry. Yet, here she stood now, shamefully blacklisted by the company. Life was really like a soap-opera.

"Hurry up and snap a shot. This is insane."

In an instant, the reporters gathered like ants around the scene, taking photos of the events that had unfolded.

"Do as you wish. No one cares!" Stephanie's eyes were red. She had always been spoiled by others. Even before she got popular, she had always been treated with respect for being the daughter of the Simons family.

However, Riley Jewelry was not afraid of the Simons family. So, they had no problem treating her however they liked. For a moment, Stephanie was unable to cope with the sudden shift in treatment. "Regar, how great do you think Riley Jewelry is? It's not like I'm dying to be the spokesperson for your stupid company anyway!" Stephanie glared at him. "Last chance - If I leave here today, I'll never participate in any activity related to Riley Jewelry in the future."

"Security!" Regar raised his voice, unbothered by Stephanie's empty threat.

D*mn it!

Stephanie was so mad that she was trembling all over. She quickly turned around to leave.

"Wait a minute." Suddenly, a gentle voice stopped her.

It was Margaret.

Stephanie's face instantly lit up in delight. "What is it, Margaret? Have something to beg me for?"

"You ruined my dress just now, which is fortunately insured. I'll have the compensation bill sent to you soon. Remember to pay for it!" Margaret tilted her head and smiled.

Stephanie had never been so angry and embarrassed before in her life. She immediately left without saying another word.

Limbaugh Group.

Charleston had been watching the live broadcast the entire time.

His slender fingers involuntarily touched the screen where the elegant and gorgeous Margaret was.

The corners of his mouth were curved upwards into a smile. He looked like a blooming orchid.

His girl was indeed the most beautiful and attractive person in the room.

He wanted to hide her so badly, so that only he could see her.

Despite him wanting this, Charleston knew that she was arrogant and would never agree to it.

Moreover, she was born to be a fan-favorite in the entertainment industry.

Her beauty had to be shown to the public.

She could never completely belong to Charleston alone.

Larry, who was beside him, decided to share his honest opinion, "Sir, Miss Margaret's popularity on the Internet has sky-rocketed. Her name is one of the most searched on Facebook. Everyone is talking about her and many have become her fans. The page that had just been created has already garnered 20 thousand followers."

Margaret was the biggest beneficiary of this banquet.

This wonderful outcome was a product of her sheer excellence as an individual.

It felt good to see his girl making her way to the top.

This felt different from Charleston's usual pleasures.

Zachary, who was backstage at the Riley Banquet, had a headache so bad that his head felt like it was going to split in two.

Had Stephanie gone mad?

It was hard enough getting her the popularity she had achieved, and to be invited to a first-class banquet.

Yet, she could replace it in herself to control her bad temper.

She had humiliated herself in front of the crowd and on live broadcast!

"Excuse me, Sir. We have to ask you to leave!" Riley Jewelry's security had also approached Zachary to escort him out of the venue.

Zachary's face became ashen instantly.

After getting into the car, Zachary looked at Stephanie and said, "Stephanie, why are you so impulsive? You had just become famous. One wrong word, and you'd lose a lot of fans."

"I can't help it." Stephanie's eyes were immediately filled with wronged melancholia. "Zachary, I am your fiancé. Not only did you not comfort me, you even yelled at me!"

Zachary felt tired. He sighed, "I'm doing all this for your own good. Do you want to flush your popularity down the drain?"

Stephanie bit her lips tightly and did not say a word.

She had indeed acted impulsively at the Riley Banquet.

She just didn't expect that she would become such a joke.

She didn't expect to be crushed and defeated by Margaret.

This was the source of her rage, the reason why she completely lost it and did what she did at the banquet.

"Then, what should we do now?" Stephanie was regretful when she came back to her senses.

"The only thing left for us to do is to smear Margaret's reputation." Zachary sighed. Although he felt that Stephanie was really stupid, he still needed to handle the consequences strategically. "Smear Margaret's reputation?"

"That's right. Only when we taint her reputation, can we make everyone hate her. This way, we'd have something to justify your actions at the banquet with. Everyone will think that you didn't want to be associated with Margaret because you've seen through her lies." Zachary explained.

Stephanie saw the reasoning in Zachary's explanation.

"As for Riley Jewelry blacklisting you," Zachary frowned. "Although Riley Jewelry is doing well for themselves now in the western fashion industry, they are not a monopoly. For example, we have Madam Ally, the top celebrity figure in the fashion industry with her company holding over half the market share in western fashion. As long as she acknowledges you, you won't have to worry about your standing in the industry."

The car stopped in front of the Simons family house.

Stephanie received the compensation bill from Margaret.

After reading the contents clearly, she widened her eyes and said, "Margaret must be crazy. She's asking me to pay 20 million dollars for a stupid dress!"
