Chapter 96 Bewitching Man

"Margaret, in fact, you do have feelings for me..."

This deep, raspy voice kept ringing in her mind again and again.

Margaret couldn't help but pat her head, trying to shake off the voice in her mind.

Margaret had even forgotten how she left that night.

However, she could not forget the way Charleston looked at her. It was as if he was going to suck her in.

Oh my, what a bewitching man.

Margaret let out a long sigh and pulled herself out of her memory.

Then she focused on the script in her hand. The most important thing for her at the moment was to do well in shooting the film.

This was her last scene.

The director walked to Margaret's side and said, "Margaret, it's your turn to get changed."

It was the scene where the witch played by Margaret met Zoey, who played the priestess.

This was where the first plot would transition to the second plot.

In the end, the cunning witch would be demonized. She would then create a sword with her demonic powers and stab the priestess with it. However, the priestess' beads that she had carried around with her would save her.

"Okay." Margaret nodded.

The director said with a grin, "Go ahead."

The makeup artist brought Margaret to the dressing room.

As Margaret would be acting as a demonized witch in this scene, she had to put on heavy makeup despite her strong acting skills.

This way, she could show that the witch had demonized.

Margaret changed into her costume. She had yet to put on her makeup, but Margaret's bare face already matched the aura of a devil very well.

When she put on heavy makeup, she looked even more shockingly in-character.

Even the director was stunned when he saw her. He only came to his senses after quite some time. He then asked, "Margaret, have you memorized your lines?" "Yes." Margaret nodded. "I've already memorized it."

The director nodded and said, "Then, I'll go check on Zoey and see if she's ready."

In the lounge on the other side.

Zoey had just put on her makeup as well. Though she was holding the script in her hand, it was evident that her mind was elsewhere.

When she saw her assistant rushing in, she asked mysteriously, "How was it? Have you done what I told you to do?"

"Don't worry, it's all done." The assistant nodded and said with certainty. However, she was still a little worried, "Isn't this a little too risky?"

"No, we know our boundaries. If we can't crush Margaret completely this time, then I'm not Zoey Clark," Zoey said with hatred. "Can't believe this shameless woman actually wants to hook up Mr. Limbaugh."

In the past few days, she had vaguely heard from her cousin that Margaret wanted to seduce Charleston.

Hearing this sent Zoey into an instant fit of rage.

She was already very jealous of the relationship Suanne's relationship with Charleston.

However, as Suanne was her cousin, she digressed. But now, someone else whom she disliked also wanted to hook up with Mr. Limbaugh.

"Margaret must be very shameless," she thought.

Mr. Limbaugh belonged to her cousin only.

"Zoey, are you ready?" The director suddenly appeared and asked.

Zoey acted like nothing had happened and nodded, "Yes."

As she spoke, she headed outside.

The actors had arrived and the cameras were ready. They began to shoot the scene.

In the cave, the witch had been demonized, but the whole world had not been overthrown just yet. She wanted to use all her strength to seek revenge for that poor woman. Her demonic aura had attracted the righteous priestess.

However, the priestess was no match for the witch.

At this time, the witch was not fully a demon nor a ghost.

Zoey had to portray a sense of righteousness and confusion. She asked, "What the hell are you?"

The witch allured the priestess and disguised herself as the priestess.

"I am..." The camera was filming Margaret's back. She tilted her head and smiled, "You!"

The way Margaret said her lines made Zoey tremble all over.

"Not bad..." The director was looking at Zoey's expression.

This was the first time Zoey had brought herself into the play so quickly. She expressed the feeling of fear and fright very well.

However, what the director did not know was that Zoey was really scared. She was especially frightened when she met Margaret's half-smiling eyes.

She was so scared that she was trembling all over. Her lips parted, but she had forgotten her lines.

"Cut!" The director frowned slightly. "Zoey, what's wrong?"

Zoey gasped.

"I'm sorry, Director. I was too nervous that I forgot my lines."

"Let's do it again," the director said helplessly.

However, Zoey messed up again on the second take.

And the third...

And the fourth....

Zoey sighed deeply. What was wrong with her? Why was she not in a good state?

Whenever she met Margaret's eyes, she just felt an inexplicable fear.

She was so pressured that she could not say anything and her mind went blank.

The director also noticed the problem. He slightly scrunched his eyebrows and asked the scriptwriter next to him.

"Do you think that Zoey is intimidated by Margaret?"

What he meant was that her acting skill had improved so well that it was outclassing the other person.

There were two possible outcomes whenever this happened. The browbeat actor could either continue feeling intimidated and fail to act, or they would be able to overcome their fear and move pass it. However, only experienced actors with a strong presence would be able to pressure other actors this way during filming. Margaret was just a newcomer in the filming industry. How was she be able to intimidate others?

Could this be considered a rare, legendary talent?

"Margaret, you may tone down your emotions later when you shoot..." The director thought for a moment and said to Margaret.

"Okay." Margaret heard the director's words and nodded.

"Okay, let's continue." The director shouted 'action' again.

This time, Margaret really did not try as hard emotionally when she said her lines. She just simply read out the lines.

Sure enough, Zoey did not feel as pressured as before.

She managed to pull through.

"Cut! Okay, next scene."

The next scene was where the witch used her demonic power to manifest a sword which was used to stab Zoey's abdomen with. The prop team handed a sword over to Margaret.

"Use this to stab Zoey later." The person in charge from the prop team said, "Don't worry. It's a telescopic sword. It won't hurt her."

"I got it, thank you." Margaret nodded.

"Okay, let's start," the director said.

Margaret held the sword and slowly made her way towards Zoey.

"Monster, go away, don't come any closer!" Zoey screamed with fear as she stumbled back. However, there was a stone wall behind her and she had nowhere to escape.

Margaret then raised her sword and stabbed right into Zoey's abdomen.

Logically speaking, this sword should have been a telescopic sword.

However, when Margaret stabbed her, she noticed that something was wrong.

"Ouch!" Zoey let out a painful wail.

Margaret instantly withdrew her hand. This sword was real. It was not a telescopic sword!

Zoey's stomach was cut open. Her costume immediately stained with blood.

"What's going on?" The director instantly stood up.
