I am Sam -
Chapter Twenty-Five
ATLAS
“Queen Fae, I don’t think you understand; we’ve been waiting three weeks to be allowed entry into Sansa, denied each time, all because prince Aslan refused to see us, now, I know he has my sister locked up in this castle, and I’m not leaving here without her.”
Queen Fae merely continues tending to her Foxglove fields in her magical garden, which is smack dab in the center of the castle; Noah, Circen, Miera, Eris, and Asher are all standing a small distance behind me, quietly watching as I argue my point with the Queen of the Seelie faeries.
She’s been kind enough to allow us to wash up and change our clothes; actually, she was pretty insistent on it before meeting with us; considering we were posted on that bridge for three weeks and only had the river to bathe in, I thought we all smelt pretty good all things considered.
Queen Fae is a very beautiful woman, there's no mistaking that, but she loves to take her time with things that she doesn't feel is of importance to her.
Finally, placing her pruning scissors down and turning to face me, she smiles softly before tilting her head attentively to look up at me; she doesn’t act like a normal royal, but then again, she never has; she also doesn’t look her age, she seems more like she’s about twenty years old which isn’t the case.
“Atlas, sweet boy, I do hear what you are saying, and I understand your distress, but you see, my children’s happiness is more important than all the gold or magic in all the lands, and my son has chosen his mate, you can’t expect me to take her away from him.”
“But she already has a fated mate, he’s stuck in a different world than our own, and he’s an Ultima wolf.” Letting out a small sigh, she merely comes to place a delicate hand against my arm as she gives me her most sympathetic look; Queen Fae has the whole mother Theresa routine down to fine art; I’ll give her that much,
“You know my feelings on true love, Atlas, but Aslan is my son, and he has chosen his mate,” Clenching my jaw, I furrow my brows at her,
“And what about Sasha, what about what she wants? Her heart belongs to Wolf; how can you keep them apart? You’re messing with fate,” Smirking she cocks a head at me as she narrows her eyes,
“Messing with fate, you say? Mmm, it sounds so familiar to me and yet...” Tapping her forefinger against her chin, she pretends to be lost in thought for a moment, “Ah yes!” She clicks her fingers like it’s just dawned on her, “Lana and Liam,” My brows furrow in response to her mentioning their names because I know exactly where this is going. “My daughter has lived every day over the past two years without the one fate gifted her, and I have had to watch as a small piece of her dies every day because of it, all because of your father and his manipulative ways, so don’t talk to me about fate dear Atlas, I know all too well what fate means to the likes of your kind.”
My eyes suddenly pierce hers,
“I might be my father’s son, but I am not him; none of us are like him,” Smirking she let's out a soft sigh in response,
“Then prove it, as future King of Aeonian, release Liam to us and allow my daughter to be happy finally,” I’m suddenly feeling confused by her request,
“But you agreed to the terms of the arrangement; Ronan told us that you agreed that it was best that Liam stay with us,” Scoffing, she rolls her eyes at me before turning back to her flowers again,
“That’s always been your problem, hasn’t it, Atlas? You believe the lies Ronan feeds you and then fight his wars because he tells you they are just and true.” She shrugs, giving me a sideways smile, “How many still have to lose everything because of Ronan’s lies before you finally open your eyes?”
“So you didn’t agree to the arrangement. Is that what you’re saying?” Her brows suddenly furrow with a spark of diamonds swirling around in her eyes,
“Lana would rather give up her happiness than watch Ronan kill Liam,”
“What?”
“Do I have to spell it out for you? Ronan threatened to kill Liam if I didn’t agree to his terms, and the blood of that sweet boy would be on my hands; I couldn’t let that happen, nor could Lana.”
“I...”
“Didn’t know?” She smirks as she shakes her head at me, “Or chose not to know?”
“I didn’t know; none of us did, not even Liam knows. We were all...”
“Fed Ronan’s lies, how typical of him,” She sighs, “Regardless, it is what it is, Aslan has chosen Sasha, and she has accepted.” Narrowing my eyes on her, my entire body tenses in response,
“Lies, she would never do that to Wolf, never,”
“Are you calling me a liar, Atlas,” There’s a sudden twitch in her eyes as they pierce mine, “Be careful how you answer that.” Snapping my mouth shut, I grind my teeth together,
“I would never call you a liar, Queen Fae,” Smirking, she suddenly has a pleasant smile on her face,
“Good.”
“But, I would like proof that my sister has accepted Aslan as her new mate.”
“Proof, like what?”
“I wish to see her, know that she is truly happy; if she tells me that she is, on my honour, we will all leave here,”
“You will leave and allow Sasha to remain with Aslan?” I give her a stern nod, which is probably the most challenging thing for me, but I can’t go guns blazing in this aspect; I need to keep my cool. “Fine, I will request that Aslan and Sasha meet with us in the garden for tea in a short while, all depending, of course,”
“Depending on what?”
“Well, depending on whether or not they aren't already in the process of giving me grandchildren, of course, I couldn’t very well break that up now, could I?” Fluttering her lashes at me, she’s waiting for a reaction, and it takes every ounce of self-control not to lose my shit; swallowing hard I’m forcing a smile on my face to the point that it fucking hurts to keep it there, the whole while the only thing going through my mind is if Aslan has fucking touched her, I’ll kill him.
SASHA
I am Sasha Anna Morrison... I keep repeating my full name repeatedly in my head, trying desperately to hold on to the girl I once was. The goal was simple, get in and get out, but I should have known it wouldn’t be that easy. This world will do that to you if you let it, chew you up and spit you out if you’re not careful.
I’m facing a large mirror against the wall, completely lost in the memory of the first time I met Wolf; the lump forming in my throat has me choking on the first tear as it rolls down my cheek.
I was never meant to have my happily ever after, not really. I shouldn’t even be surprised how things ended up, with me in a witches’ realm of all places, about to give myself to a Seelie fae prince so I can ensure Wolf’s freedom.
I’ve tried thinking of an alternative, but I can’t, Aslan has kept me here for three weeks, and in those three weeks, no one has come looking for me; apparently, even Asher abandoned me here.
I guess I could be faced with a fate worse than this, right? A Seelie prince is willing to send a hundred of his best men into the Unseelie realm to replace Lisbon and finally bring her to justice for her crimes, breaking the curse on Wolf once and for all. Maybe this was always the plan the universe had in mind; I was never meant to keep him; I was only meant to set him free.
Another lump has me swallowing hard, and I can feel the pain crushing me inside when two powerful arms come up behind me, wrapping around my waist and pulling me back against his hard chest.
“Mmm,” He purrs against my ear, which immediately has a small gasp escaping my lips as my entire body tenses up, “Are you ready?” He whispers lustfully as he begins trailing tender kisses against my neck before looking into the mirror at our reflection together, but I can’t answer him; the words won’t come out, it just won’t.
He tightens his grip around my waist, his eyes piercing mine through our reflection, which has another gasp escaping me, and with great reluctance, I slowly nod.
Aslan has me up in his arms in a second, bridal style. His breath fanning my lips as his eyes connect with mine so intensely, I can’t look away,
“You will not be disappointed little wolf,” He whispers against my lips before claiming them, which instantly has me pulling back and lowering my eyes; he doesn’t skip a beat as he turns and moves over towards the bed before lowering me onto the soft mattress as he moves over me in one fluid motion.
My heart is sitting in my throat as his eyes search mine. Still, before I can even give in to the doubt I’m feeling, his lips claim mine hungrily, his hand sliding down the outside of my thigh until he pulls my leg up so it can wrap around his waist; leaning over with his other hand, he does the same with my other leg as he continues tasting at my lips.
I’m trying to zone out, not think about what I’m about to do, hoping that it will help, but knowing it won’t, I will hate myself for this moment for the rest of my life.
I can feel his hard-on becoming more prominent as it suddenly pokes at my heat through my panties, and I gasp hard as I push back against his chest, my wide eyes flying up to him, my breathing heavy as I continue to stare at him,
“I’m sorry, I...” But he merely brushes his lips up against mine as he gently ushers me to shush,
“Sweetest Sasha, you have nothing to be sorry for; we can take things as slowly as you need to; if you like, you can have some tea to help calm your nerves?” Swallowing hard, it suddenly dawns on me that maybe going through this whole ordeal drugged on Seelie tea might not be such a bad idea, but then I immediately dismiss the idea as I shake my head at him,
“No, if I am going to do this, I want to have a clear mind,” So that I will forever remember this moment and hate myself, except I don’t tell him that; and he seems to take it as a good sign that I want to be completely myself for this; it isn’t though, he doesn’t get it, and I don’t see the point in explaining it.
Gently running his hand down my jawline, he drinks me in, his lips sucking and tasting mine like he’s starved for it; I’m feeling numb, unable to feel anything besides sadness and regret for what I’m about to do.
Aslan suddenly lifts his excited eyes to mine,
“Close your eyes, little wolf, just try and relax; allow me to do the rest,” Swallowing the lump in my throat, I nod as I lay back and close my eyes; my hands are fisting against the bedsheets on either side of me. I feel as his lips begin trailing down my neck sensually slow; he’s slowly pushing up the sweater I’m wearing, his strong hands gently running up against my ribs as his lips trail down until they’re kissing and nipping above my belly button, it earns him an involuntary gasp as I clench tighter against the bedsheets, as his lips begin trailing lower I feel a tear rolling down my cheek.
His fingers hook in at the corners of my panties as he slowly begins pulling away at them, I hate myself already, and I haven’t even gone through with this. His tongue slowly licks at the tender skin of my inner thigh, and I’m fighting every urge to push him away, shoving my wolf back equally as hard; she’s suddenly thrashing against the inside of my chest.
I suddenly feel his warm breath against my heat, a low rumble reverberating from his throat, and I brace myself for what’s coming when a sudden knock at the door has Aslan stilling. He’s about to continue when another hard knock has him stilling again; this time, he’s groaning in annoyance as he turns his head to the side and grumbles,
“What!?” He snaps,
“Sorry to disturb you prince Aslan, but your mother has requested you and your new mate meet her in the garden for tea.”
“Now?” He grumbles,
“If possible,” The voice says from the other side; it’s a Seelie guard. Sighing Aslan smirks as he lifts himself up to look at me, instantly having me open my eyes to look down at his face as his chin rests against my stomach; a slight grin creeps up at the corners of his mouth as he raises a mischievous brow at me before answering whoever is on the other side of the door,
“Tell the Queen that we will be there shortly,” My brows furrow in response, “Have you met my mother?” He asks somewhat excitedly, shaking my head my jaw clenches, “You’ll love her, and she’ll love you; she’s a hopeless romantic,” He says with a playful shrug, “I think it will be good for you to meet with her, and once we’re done, we can come back here and pick up where we left off.” Gulping, I nod, and I don’t know if the sigh escaping me is out of relief or frustration because, let’s face it, as Aslan said, we’re going to pick up where we left off after having tea with his mom. I don’t want tea, and meeting his mom, the Seelie Queen, which I don’t really care for either, is just prolonging the torture, quite frankly.
Aslan leaves the room telling me he has a surprise for me; great, now he has surprises lined up. If I were any other girl who wasn’t already mated to her soul mate, I would feel flattered to have someone like him interested in me right? But I’m not any other girl, and this isn’t any normal situation.
Leaving me to mull in my guilt, I’m suddenly startled the moment a soft knock sounds on the door before it opens slowly; an angelic-looking girl my age enters; she’s got long white blonde hair cascading down her back, and her pixie-like features are even more delicate the moment her crystal blue eyes land on me, a sincere smile immediately reaching her eyes,
“I don’t mean to intrude; Aslan asked me to come and help you get dressed for tea with mother,” Her voice is soft and nurturing, and the moment I look down at the white dress in her arms, my brows furrow as I gulp before looking back up at her.
“Um, I’m sorry; who are you?” Her smile only becomes even softer, sympathetic and apologetic all wrapped up into one angelic look,
“I apologize; I should have introduced myself before merely barging in here; my name is Lana; I’m Aslan’s little sister.” The penny suddenly drops as I blink back in surprise,
“Lana, you’re Liam’s...” But before I can finish my sentence, her brows furrow as she swallows down hard,
“How is he?” She asks softly, and the agony in this beautiful girl’s appearance is gutwrenching to watch; I don’t even know her, but I can feel it,
“He, um, shifted into a dragon,” And I don’t know why I said that but it instantly has her looking up at me, such a hopeful smile creeping up at the corners of her mouth, tears shimmering behind her eyes and the only thing I can see in them is pride when she speaks of him,
“His dragon must be so beautiful,” Swallowing down hard, I divert my eyes,
“He hasn’t left his room since he came back from shifting, so...”
“Oh,” She says, and her voice is suddenly so small.
We continue talking while Lana helps me to get changed into the dress she brought, and honestly, I can’t imagine anyone better suited for Liam than her; it’s like a match made in heaven. The moment it dawns on me that Ronan will never allow them to be together, a piece of my heart breaks for them, and I can sympathize with her because I know what it feels like having a fated mate you love and adore and having all odds stacked against you.
~
Aslan leads me down a flight of long stairs; what is it with the Seelie and stairs anyway? But then he instantly has me gasping hard as he turns and scoops me up in his arms, bridal style again. My arms are around his neck as I look up at him suspiciously,
“You know I can walk, right?” Shrugging, he gives me a seductive smile,
“Sweetest Sasha, I told you, from now on, I will worship at your feet, and if I wish to carry you down these stairs, are you going to oppose me?”
“Well, if you put it like that,” I shrug with a smirk, and it’s the first actual light-hearted moment I’ve had with Aslan since I woke up from being drugged, and a thought suddenly has me biting down against my lower lip as I look down with a frown, Aslan picks up on this straight away,
“What seems to be bothering you, my little wolf?”
“I was just wondering,” Stopping mid-step, he tilts his head towards me with a reassuring smile,
“You can ask me anything; I will always tell you the truth?” Raising a brow, I’m eyeing him suspiciously,
“Oh really, you’ll always tell me the truth and never lie?” Shrugging, he smirks with a wink,
“The Seelie are bound to being truthful; we don’t lie; the only thing that could confuse you would be how well we can twist things to suit our own needs,”
“Um, that’s called lying, Aslan.”
“No, it’s not; we always tell the truth; your perception of understanding may receive it out of context; that’s not our fault; that’s called a misunderstanding.”
“Aha,” I’m narrowing my eyes suspiciously, which has a rumble of laughter escaping him as he shakes his head at me,
“Ask me, my sweetest Sasha; I promise to answer truthfully,”
“Okay, fine. So you know when you drugged me with the tea water...” He suddenly furrows his brows in response,
“Drugged you?”
“Um, yeah, you gave me water you knew would have me completely out of it for days,”
“No, I didn’t; I gave you water because you looked thirsty,” He shrugs in defence,
“Right, and you had no idea it would have the kind of effect on me that it did?”
“I never said that,” He says seductively as he winks at me,
“So you did drug me,” I retort,
“I gave you water; you looked thirsty. The fact that the water affected you was because of you’re own body’s reaction to it; that had nothing to do with me,”
“Oh really, and having more tea water beside the bed readily available was also done out of complete innocence?”
“I couldn’t very well have you wake up and be thirsty without anything to drink, now could I, my little wolf,” Again, he winks at me, and I quickly realize that I’m getting nowhere with him. Is this what he meant by the Seelie twist of the truth?
“All I want to know is, why did the water affect me but not you?” He thinks it over for a second like he’s giving it some deep thought, and then he answers,
“I am Seelie Sasha, and that water you drank is Seelie water, so perhaps it’s just that your body isn’t used to it. That will soon change after you’ve consumed enough of it,” And the seductive smile is back on his face; somehow, I have this suspicion that he knows full well that I will never get used to it; he’s just twisting the truth again.
Aslan lowers me to stand right in front of a table in a garden; it’s so lush and magical, my eyes don’t miss that at all; it’s like I’m in some fairy tale place. I’m wearing the white summer dress Lana brought me; it was Aslan’s gift to me; it is exquisite, something that comes right from a fantasy movie like Cinderella, perhaps. Lana comes to stand beside us as Aslan gently runs his hand down my jaw to cup my chin; an involuntary shudder runs down my spine; I need to force my body to stop doing that; it only gives Aslan ideas.
Tipping his head, he slowly leans in to kiss me when someone suddenly clears their throat in the distance; we both turn our heads, and I’m immediately blinking back the moment I croak out,
“Atlas!?”
Aslan narrows his eyes on Atlas, and Atlas returns the stare hard and fierce. I can only imagine the gorgeous-looking faerie woman standing beside Atlas to be the Seelie Queen, she has the brightest smile as she stares from Aslan to me, and I don’t miss everyone else standing behind Atlas. Noah, Circen, including faces I never thought I would see here, like Miera and Eris? But the fact that Asher is standing right beside Atlas, without a single smear of white clay on his body or face, makes me feel utterly confused.
“Aslan, darling, I am so sorry to have pulled you away from your mating ritual with Sasha,” Taking a step towards me, the Seelie Queen suddenly takes my hand in hers, which has a small gasp escaping my lips, looking into my eyes I can see nothing but adoration in them as she stares at me, “Sasha, my dear, I’m so glad to have you become part of my family.” I’m furrowing my brows at her as I look over at Atlas, who’s staring hard at me. I’m suddenly feeling overwhelmed; what’s going on? Why are Atlas and everyone here?
“Sasha, is this really what you want?” Atlas’s words have me gulping as I look up at him, my heart rate picking up in response,
“Atlas...” But Aslan steps in front of me as he blocks Atlas from me,
“I think you should leave,” Aslan sneers at him, and his demeanour shifts from the happy Seelie I just saw, to someone who looks and feels incredibly dangerous and terrifying. Atlas cocks his head as he smirks at Aslan,
“I’m not afraid of you, Aslan,” Scoffing Aslan shakes his head at Atlas,
“You should be petrified, Atlas.” Both of them suddenly step up in each other’s faces, and Aslan is quite a lot bigger than Atlas, yet Atlas doesn’t back down as he glares up at him,
“She’s my sister, and she’s leaving here with me,” A low, threatening chuckle reverberates from Aslan’s throat as he cocks his head at Atlas, but before anything can happen, Queen Fae steps in between them, and she looks from Atlas to Aslan, her eyes swirling with something that demands respect,
“I will not have a war between our two sides over this; there’s been enough pain.” Staring hard at Atlas, the Seelie Queen shifts her attention as she nods at the five Seelie guards circling us, “I think it’s time for you and your friends to leave, Atlas.” A sudden tick in Atlas’s jaw has him narrowing his eyes in response before tilting his head to look at me; still behind Aslan,
“I promised...” He grumbled, “That I would protect you, and I intend on keeping that damn promise; now come on, Sasha, let’s go replace Lisbon together.” Swallowing down the lump in my throat, I lower my eyes,
“You shouldn’t have come,” My voice sounds so tiny it’s at its breaking point,
“What do you mean I shouldn’t have come?” He grumbles irritably, “I’m your brother, I know I should have stepped up and helped you a lot sooner, and I’m sorry I didn’t, but Sasha, what are you doing with Aslan?” It’s breaking me into pieces inside, unable to go to Atlas. Still, the truth is, this... the curse on Wolf, it’s my problem, it’s my burden to bear not Atlas, not anyone else but me, and I refuse to drag any of them into this any more than I have and end up getting them killed because of it.
“Atlas, just go.” There’s a moment of silence that lingers far too long, but then Atlas steps around Queen Fae and Aslan in an attempt to get to me, but Aslan grips Atlas’s shoulder hard, stopping him in his tracks,
“You heard her; get out.” He snaps,
Atlas scoffs at Aslan shaking his head as he sneers,
“She has a fated mate, man, it doesn’t matter what you do, how hard you try, fuck, you could give her the world on a silver platter if you wanted to, keep her drugged on tea water for the rest of her life, but she will never be yours, not really; she will always belong to Wolf.”
Aslan suddenly steps forward, grabbing a bow and arrow from one of the Seelie guards; a deep rumble reverberating through his chest as the muscles in his arms flex; he’s glaring at Atlas; things are about to turn hideous really quickly when something white on the roof of the castle catches his attention.
Gasping as my eyes land on the gigantic white dragon above our heads, it’s attached to the side of the building, its piercing blue eyes trained on one person only, Lana.
A low growl reverberates through its chest. The moment Aslan steps forward, raising his bow and arrow and aiming to shoot, the dragon suddenly releases an ear-splitting roar that has me instantly covering my ears and cowering behind Aslan.
Aslan pulls back the arrow, readying to release it on the dragon when Lana suddenly cries out as she falls to her knees,
“Don’t shoot him, Aslan; it’s Liam!” Lana’s voice instantly has Aslan pulling back his arrow in response; turning his head towards his sister, he gives her a stern nod,
“Go to him, Lana; he won’t listen to anyone but you.” Nodding through the tears suddenly shimmering behind her eyes, she gets up and moves forward; my eyes are wide as I stare at her walking out towards where the dragon is perched up on the roof, and I instantly feel anxious for her, especially when Noah steps forward and ushers her to be careful,
“Lana, stop! His dragon isn’t tamed like ours,” But she merely gives Noah a sympathetic look as she wipes away the first tears spilling over the rims of her eyes,
“Liam would never hurt me,” With that, she turns back to him as she looks up and smiles, holding her arms out to the gigantic-looking dragon like a puppy she wants to cuddle.
My jaw goes completely slack when I watch the white dragon move almost like lightning, clawing his way down the side of the building at accurate speed until he’s right in front of her. It feels like my heart is in my throat as I watch on, he’s enormous compared to her tiny frame, but she doesn’t look even the least frightened or intimidated.
Holding her hands out to him, I’m entirely stunned the moment the dragon lowers his head towards her, gently nudging his snout against her tiny hands as a soft purr reverberates through him, and when he closes his eyes, we all watch on as the dragon begins to shift, transforming from his beast back into his human form until the naked form of the man standing before her stares into her eyes with such longing and disbelief.
LIAM
My eyes slowly lift to her the moment my dragon has finally released me; cupping my cheeks in her delicate soft hands, I gulp as I whisper,
“Lana, my Lana.” A tear rolls down her cheek as her eyes shimmer with so much emotion in them,
“Liam, my Liam.” Pushing her forehead to mine, she gently leans in as she pushes her lips to mine; only then do I know I am home.
Lifting her tiny frame up into my arms, I wrap them around her like I’m afraid she might disappear. I haven’t seen Lana in two years, and as my heart flutters in my chest, it suddenly feels like I can’t breathe, I’ve dreamt of this moment for so long, and now she’s in my arms.
My lips claim hers so hungrily; I couldn’t care who was around to witness it; I’ve longed to taste her lips against mine, and by the way she’s responding to my kiss, she’s dreamed of the same. My tongue gently slides against the seam of her lips, and she immediately grants me the access I’ve yearned for. It feels like the entire world is standing still in this moment, everything could fall away, and I wouldn’t care.
Only once we’ve both had our fill, and the only next step would be to remove every ounce of clothing from her body before claiming her mind, body and soul; do I slowly break the kiss, resting my forehead against hers, were both panting heavily?
“Hi,” I breathe, and a tiny little chuckle escapes her swollen plump lips,
“Hi,” She whispers. Our fingers intertwine with one another’s, and I’ve never wanted something so much right now; I want her, all of her. The moment I hear someone clearing his throat, I look up past my precious Lana to replace we have quite the audience staring at us, and they’re all... smiling.
My brows furrow curiously, and at that moment, Lana wraps her arms around my torso; she isn’t letting go, nor am I.
I nod to my friends before turning my attention towards Queen Fae; she’s smiling like she’s just won the lotto; okay, that’s strange right?
“Liam,” She says my name with such adoration, “We are so thrilled to see you,” Again, my brow furrows in response, but I quickly conceal the surprised look on my face with a small smile and a nod.
“Queen Fae, I apologize for just barging in unannounced,” But she doesn’t even look phased, nor does Aslan,
“Oh, my dear Liam, you do not need an invitation into my Kingdom; you are welcome any time,” Nodding again, I can’t help but feel surprised. I thought she was on board with Ronan on keeping Lana and me apart. Atlas steps forward, and I can see the concern on his face,
“Liam, are you alright to be here?” I can see he’s very wary of approaching me, and I don’t blame him; my dragon has been a complete maniac from the moment it manifested itself with me, and yet surprisingly, right now, I couldn’t feel calmer.
“I am,” I nod at him, “I had to come to warn you.” Atlas’s brows furrow in response,
“Warn me?” Nodding sternly, my jaw clenches, and I can feel my dragon rattling inside of me; Lana is the only thing keeping him calm.
“Ronan, I overheard him talking; he’s coming for Sasha; he’s going to harvest her powers and then kill her.” Atlas suddenly looks mortified,
“What? Why? She’s my twin; he knows what it will do if he kills her.”
“I don’t know Atlas, and I wish I could tell you who he was talking to, but the door was shut; it was a woman, that much I know, she’s helping him.”
“I will never allow Ronan to touch Sasha,” Aslan sneers as he narrows his eyes. Atlas rolls his eyes, turning to face Aslan as he scoffs,
“You know what, I’m getting over this; she’s not yours, Aslan. Sasha needs to get the hell out of the witches’ realm and back to Wolf, her true mate; the best thing you can do for her is help her to get to him as quickly as possible,”
“She stays with me,” Aslan sneers,
“No, she goes back to Wolf,” Atlas snaps as he closes the gap between him and Aslan, and it’s clear that those two are going to tear each other a new one any second; I’m not even going to pretend to try and understand why Aslan wants Sasha, the string of dicks trying to get into her pants seems to be growing by the day, it is time she goes back to Wolf, I love the girl to bits. Still, man, this is all becoming a little ridiculous.
Queen Fae suddenly steps in between them, staring hard at both Atlas and Aslan,
“I will not have fighting in my Kingdom,” turning her attention towards Atlas, she sighs, “Atlas, let’s come to a compromise and make this fair,” Narrowing his eyes, Atlas looks down at her,
“Fair how?”
“Sasha wants to break the curse on her wolf mate, correct?” Nodding sternly, Atlas clenches his jaw, “Well, I will only allow her to go to the Unseelie Kingdom if Liam takes her place, stays here with Lana and never leaves.” Atlas gives her a suspicious look,
“Just like that, you’ll let Sasha go if Liam stays?”
“I’m not finished,” She says, raising an authoritative brow at him as she purses her lips, “Aslan will accompany Sasha into the Unseelie realm; there’s a precious stone which was stolen from the Ultima wolves and given to the Unseelie; which was originally granted to the Ultima by me, I want it back. If Sasha can retrieve that stone, her, not anyone else, then she will be free to go back to her mate once she has broken his curse. If not, she will come back with Aslan and become his mate, living out her life here, with him.”
Atlas’s jaw clenches as he thinks it over for a moment; turning to face me, he waits for my response, and I nod; of course I’m not going anywhere, to hell with Ronan, now that I’m a dragon he can’t push me around anymore.
Turning back to face the Queen, Atlas nods,
“If my sister is happy with this arrangement, I accept.” Everyone’s eyes turn towards Sasha, and she suddenly looks nervous but then nods once at Queen Fae.
“I agree to your terms.”
