After finishing a phone conversation with Catherine, Jonathan called Beatrix up.

The latter was delighted when she received the call. Even though she kept her feelings hidden,Jonathan could still hear the joy in her tone. Beatrix and Master truly care for me. I'll surely repay themif I succeed in the future.

Edward's incident was too huge a blow for Jonathan. However, he was strong-willed and would not bebrought down easily.

As a person of principle, he drew a clear line between gratitude and grudges.

“Jonathan, are you all right?” Beatrix asked.

“Don't worry, Beatrix. I'm fine.” Jonathan broke into a smile.

Upon hearing that, Beatrix heaved a sigh of relief. “Glad to hear that. Count me in the next time youwant to deal with Edward.”

Her words made Jonathan even move, yet he could only reply, “Thank you.”

Beatrix flashed a faint smile as she added, “Is there anything else?”

“There's something I want to ask for Master's help, but I'm afraid that it'd be too abrupt of me to meethim directly, so I'm thinking of discussing it with you first,” Jonathan answered without hesitation.

Beatrix was slightly stunned before she said, “Go ahead.”

Jonathan told her about Mabel's condition after that.

After listening to his words, Beatrix remarked, “Since it's a life and death situation, bring your friendover quickly. Although your friend can't enter Divine Realm, Master is able to excuse himself.”

Jonathan's eyes lit up when he heard that. “Sure!”

“Let me know when you arrive,” said Beatrix.

“Understood!” Jonathan finally felt calmer after calling Beatrix.

Half an hour later, Jonathan met up with Catherine outside Pearl Building.

When Catherine arrived in her Ferrari, he hopped into it immediately.

Once he closed the car door, Catherine took out the two Immortal Pills.

“Here,” she uttered coldly and clearly as she handed him the brocade box with the pills inside.

The Immortal Pills that were worth a fortune meant nothing to her, yet she gave them to Jonathan justlike that.

Catherine, wearing white sportswear that day, tied her hair into a ponytail and looked pretty and elegantas always.

After receiving the brocade box, Jonathan put it aside without looking closer at it. He dominantly pulled

Catherine into his arms.

The woman did not avoid it and nestled in his arms quietly.

“Catherine, Edward has already become the first disciple of Divine Realm's inner circle. From now on,all of us have to address him as Master whenever we see him,” Jonathan uttered in a deep voice.

Catherine, who had always been unperturbed, couldn't help but gasp at his words. The news made herface turn pale from shock. She finally understood why the man suddenly changed his mind and askedfor the two Immortal Pills.

After all, he refused to accept them before.

Despite her silence, Catherine was actually incredibly perceptive. It piqued her interest when Jonathansuddenly requested Immortal Pills from her. Nonetheless, she couldn't be bothered to ask.

Now that Jonathan brought the matter up, she finally got her head around it.

She knew well that the man had made up his mind, and there would be no way he could reconcile withEdward.

Shortly after, Catherine raised her head and held Jonathan's hands. “I will always stay by your side.”

Jonathan was moved by her words and kissed her lips.

“I'm going to Lostaria after this. Something happened to Mabel.” Jonathan subsequently told Catherine.

However, she appeared not interested in that and only reminded him, “Be careful.”

After sharing some intimacy with each other, Jonathan bade her goodbye. “I'll take good care of Alicia,”said Catherine before driving off.

Hearing that made Jonathan feel his heart filling with warmth at once.

After sending Catherine off, he went to meet Mabel.

Jonathan and Mabel boarded the plane to Lostaria and were seated in the VIP cabin.

Moments after the flight attendant left, Mabel poured Jonathan a glass of red wine.

He took a sip of red wine before saying, “Are you really not afraid of death?”

Mabel smiled faintly. “What comes around goes around. People who have ended countless lives like usshould understand that we must return what we owe.” She paused before continuing, “I actuallythought about it before that it was never my destiny to achieve Divine Master. You're the one whochanged my life. Since I met you and consumed the two Heaven Pills, I managed to break through andenter the Divine Master realm. However, tribulation came to me at the same time. I guess whathappened to me now was my tribulation. If I can get through it, I will definitely succeed in the future.Otherwise, it's fate.”

“Tribulation!” Jonathan heaved a sigh upon hearing that.

“I'm thinking that if we continue relying on the pills from Divine Realm and completing the missions toreceive them, the progress is too slow.”

“Don't tell me you plan to get involved in alchemy.” Mabel made a guess.

“Is there a problem? If Divine Emperor can do it, so can we.”

Mabel smiled bitterly at his response. “I'm very impressed with your courage. Back then, DivineEmperor had three senior disciples under him. They were known as Lance, Magnus, the AsuraEmperor, and Tristan, the Demon Emperor. Three of them were the top at that time. Divine Emperorrelied on them to gather talents from around the world, went through a lot of hardship to create DivineRealm, and set up the alchemy department to achieve today's feat. It's way too hard for you to followhis path.”

“Yes!” Jonathan answered without hesitation.

However, Mabel shook her head. “There's no way I can do that.”

Jonathan's expression slightly changed at her words. “Why?”

Mabel explained, “The country is indeed capable of protecting you, but I'm only an insignificant personin the eyes of the big shots. So what if you have put in a lot of effort to set up the alchemy department?When the time comes, everything will no longer be under our control.”

Jonathan was stunned, as he had thought of the matter too simply.
