I Am Unstoppable -
Chapter 314
Chapter 314
Although his blood stopped the devil infants, Jonathan did not feel more optimistic.
If he was trapped here, he would die sooner or later.
He had to leave as soon as possible.
D*mn it. I wonder if the Lone Demon Beast is still guarding outside? I don't know if Mabel is alive ordead either.
At that moment, Jonathan was facing threats from everywhere. Anxiety seemed to swallow him up astime ticked by.
He decided not to care too much. I'll get out of this tunnel first and look for Mabel and the others.
Once Jonathan made up his mind, he took action resolutely. He allowed his hand to bleed moreprofusely, making a way for himself with his own blood.
The devil infants before him slowly moved aside while he marched forward. As blood dripped on someof them, they shrieked in agony.
Jonathan managed to walk for two meters when the devil infants ahead stopped making way.
They screamed and howled as if terrified of something. While they instinctively wanted to move away, something seemed to be ordering them to stay put.
Jonathan froze in his spot. He did not have any other ways other than using his blood, but that seemed
to be ineffective now.
Gathering his energy, he roared at the devil infants in front of him. The thunderous sound echoedthrough the entire tunnel, making the devil infants scream in fear.
When Jonathan saw that it was working, he began roaring continuously.
Despite being afraid, the devil infants did not clear the way.
Whenever Jonathan stopped, they would slowly wriggle toward him.
Jonathan reached out all of a sudden and grabbed a devil infant, squeezing it forcefully with one hand.
The creature immediately burst into pieces, its soul shattered. Yet at the same time, ten devil infantswrapped themselves around his arm and bit him ferociously.
As ten sets of small, pointy teeth gnawed Jonathan's arm with malice, he had an illusion that he hadlost all the flesh on his arm.
“Scram!” he snapped and threw out his other fist, swiping the devil infants away from his arm.
After the ten devil infants were sent flying away, countless devil infants charged forward andsurrounded Jonathan like a hive of bees almost instantly.
Soon, Jonathan disappeared among the swarm of horrifying devil infants.
Excruciating pain spread through Jonathan's entire body. He couldn't stretch out, so he could only roll
around on the floor.
His attempt proved to be futile as the devil infants continued to chew on him.
Just as it seemed like Jonathan was about to be reduced to a pile of bones, the devil infants suddenlydispersed.
He bolted upright, feeling bewildered. There were blood-red bite marks all over his arms and body, anddifferent types of poison ran amok through his veins.
Fortunately, Jonathan's blood was extremely powerful. The poisons were quickly subdued, so Jonathanwas fine.
In confusion, he looked at the devil infants who rushed outside the tunnel.
He felt so curious that he put aside his fear and went after the creatures.
Half of that cave had already collapsed, but thankfully, the entrance was located outside.
It was a new entrance that appeared thanks to the Lone Demon Beast's ramming earlier.
In the dark, Jonathan tried hard to look for the reason why the devil infants stopped when he wasalready on the verge of death.
Finally, Jonathan found his answer in the middle of the cave.
Another monster had emerged in the center of the cave.
Its body was covered in black scales, and from afar, Jonathan thought the Lone Demon Beast hadreturned. Upon closer look, he discovered it was another creature.
It was a bit smaller than the Lone Demon Beast. There was no horn on its head, and its head was morehuman-like.
Its eyes were also not as big as the Lone Demon Beast's, but there was a clever glint in them.
Just at one glance, Jonathan could tell that this monster also possessed intelligence.
He couldn't help but wonder why there were so many odd creatures in Pinelake Mountain Forest whenit wasn't even a primeval forest. On the contrary, it was located near the bustling part of the city.
Jonathan was puzzled.
Just then, the monster bellowed at the devil infants.
Frightened, the devil infants dispersed right away.
Following a few more roars, they timidly shrank back to the corners of the cave.
Right at that moment, another intimidating growl rang out.
The source of the sound came from the cave ceiling.
When Jonathan lifted his head, he was met with the sight of a humongous spider with a human's face.
Weighing at least eight thousand kilograms, the monster was about the size of two elephants. Its legswere as sharp as a spear, and the creepiest thing about it was its humanoid head.
Its facial features were just like that of an ordinary human, but its orbs gleamed frostily.
Jonathan's breath hitched. F*ck! Did I time-travel to the prehistoric times? Why are there so manystrange creatures?
In the face of these monsters, Jonathan's strength was as small as an ant's.
Humans were too insignificant compared to monsters like this.
The human-faced spider monster's howls infused the devil infants with courage.
It was then that Jonathan realized the spider monster was the one commanding the devil infants toattack him earlier.
Holding his breath, Jonathan stood to the side. He could see that the two monsters seemed to becompeting with each other. What he needed to do now was to replace the perfect time to escape.
The human-faced spider monster began bellowing repeatedly, but one cold look from the black monstersilenced the former.
Then, the spider monster roared at the devil infants.
Immediately, the devil infants were sent into a frenzy.
Like the waves of an ocean, they rushed fearlessly toward the black monster and devoured him in notime.
When Jonathan looked over, he could only see a huge flock of devil infants, and the black monster wasnowhere to be seen.
Upon remembering how he was attacked the same way by the devil infants earlier, Jonathan gasped. Iprobably looked just like that earlier.
Jonathan did not dare to stay for too long. He had a feeling that once the black monster was killed, thehuman-faced spider monster would come after him.
Earlier, the human-faced spider monster was trying to kill him when it was interrupted by the blackmonster.
With that in mind, Jonathan crouched and headed toward the exit in an attempt to run away.
To his surprise, a twist happened.
The black monster's head began emerging from the pile of devil infants. Seeing that, Jonathan darednot to act rashly.
The black monster began engulfing the devil infants. He grabbed at them rapidly, shoving them in hismouth as if they were free lunch.
Jonathan's jaw dropped at what was happening before him.
What the? This is what you call an innate advantage! I would never be able to eat those devil infants.
The black monster practically inhaled the devil infants. In the blink of an eye, it had swallowed morethan a hundred of them.
Black smoke started to billow from its body, and it seemed like its aura and strength were growing.
The black monster was consuming the devil infants as supplements.
In less than five minutes' time, all the devil infants had become the monster's food.
It was also then that the human-faced spider monster leaped to the floor. It extended its huge claw andaimed it at the black monster's chest fiercely.
The black monster swiftly grabbed the spider monster's claw. Next, it tossed the spider monster away.
Boom!
The human-faced spider monster slammed against the cave wall, breaking through it and flying all theway outside.
In an instant, dirt and dust filled the inside of the cave.
Without a second thought, the black monster scurried after the spider monster.
The scene was straight out of a blockbuster movie, and it was, in fact, more intense than one.
Jonathan also hurried after the two creatures. Despite knowing that he should take this opportunity toescape, he couldn't resist watching the face-off.
He kept having this feeling that the black monster was not a bad guy.
When Jonathan came out of the cave, he saw the two monsters grappling with each other. In terms ofstrength and speed, the human-faced spider monster was no match for the black monster.
However, the human-faced spider monster was tough enough to hang in there for quite a while.
Clouds of dust rose from the ground, and countless trees were knocked down.
All of a sudden, the black monster dashed forward and seized the spider monster's claw beforesnapping it.
Subsequently, the black monster stabbed the spider monster's stomach with its own claw.
Crack!
Black blood spurted from the spider monster's abdomen.
However, that was not the end. The black monster took hold of the human-faced spider monster's headand twisted it off.
Then, the former proceeded to grab the latter's body and slam it against the ground repeatedly. The
spider monster's body turned to mush in no time.
Just like that, the savage human-faced spider monster was eliminated by the black monster.
Jonathan knew then that he had to stop watching and leave as soon as possible.
After all, humans could not possibly understand what was going on in a monster's mind.
Turning around, Jonathan sneaked away.
At that juncture, the black monster suddenly spoke. Its voice sounded like that of a child, and it wascalling out, “Mommy!”
Jonathan shuddered and paused in his tracks. Sh*t! Isn't that the cacodemon baby's voice?
When Jonathan looked back at the monster, it began moving toward him quickly.
After coming to a stop before Jonathan, it crouched down and stretched out its huge claw.
Feeling perplexed, Jonathan did not react for a while. The monster then lifted Jonathan with two fingersand threw him over its shoulder.
“You're the cacodemon?” asked Jonathan.
The monster nodded in return.
“Sh*t, why do you look like this now?” Jonathan exclaimed in surprise.
The black monster looked at Jonathan in confusion and continued saying, “Mommy!”
That seemed to be the only word it knew, and it couldn't quite understand what Jonathan was sayingeither.
With that, Jonathan relaxed and decided not to overthink things. Only one thing was on his mind—hewas going to take revenge. He was going to look for the Lone Demon Beast and beat it to a pulp.
“Good boy. Listen!” Jonathan patted the black monster's neck and pointed forward. “Go!”
The black monster was very clever as it understood Jonathan's gesture and moved forward right away.
Now that Jonathan had help from the black monster, he no longer had to fear the Lone Demon Beast.
