I Am Unstoppable -
Chapter 471 Lynn Shows Up
Chapter 471 Lynn Shows Up
The bearded man shared a look with his wife. Having witnessed many peculiar individuals andoccurrences during their time living in this area, they found Jonathan's request to be rather ordinary incomparison.
Hence, he told her, “Go and get three sets of clothes!”
Hearing that, the woman kept the sword and spun on her heels to enter their tent.
After a short while, she reappeared, carrying three sets of clothing—two for men and one for a woman.
Jonathan took the clothes from her and told Torrence to pay them. He didn't forget to remind Torrenceto pay them a hundred more gold coins to them.
The latter didn't ask questions and did as told.
Seeing that the couple was baffled by the extra reward, Jonathan gave them a smile and said, “I hopeyou can keep this a secret.”
The bearded man was inwardly delighted to receive this much money. He gave a solemn nod andassured, “Don't worry. We won't say a thing to anyone.”
“Thank you!” With that, Jonathan, Torrence, and Yeverie turned to leave.
After leaving that area, Jonathan ran into a bunch of orcs who were traveling in the dark.
He was fascinated, for it was his first encounter with orcs. Those orcs' lower bodies took on a beast-like
form and were even covered in fur. However, their hands and heads resembled those of humans.
There were a total of five orcs in the party, all with impressive muscular and robust physiques.
Jonathan's group was walking in front of the orcs, who were slowly approaching them.
Torrence reminded Jonathan softly, “Orcs have a strong sense of pride, so it's best not to stare at them. They can become easily provoked.”
The latter's lips curved slowly. “It's my first time seeing orcs. Oh, I must talk to them.” With that, hewhirled around and waited for the orcs to come to them.
When the orcs approached, Jonathan fixed his gaze on them. Such an intense gaze wouldundoubtedly invoke the wrath of the orcs.
One of the hot-tempered orcs, Kazon, glared at Jonathan furiously. “What are you looking at, youfurless monkey? Never seen someone like us before?”
Jonathan chuckled aloud. “Yeah, I've never seen someone as furry as you.”
That was clearly an insult, so Kazon immediately flew into a rage.
The leader of the orcs, Farok, was the calmest and strongest of them all. However, he was ultimatelyan orc, which meant he possessed an inherent ferocity that couldn't be ignored. After stopping Kazon,Farok declared, “Your rudeness is uncalled for. Have we done anything to offend you? We were simplypassing through this path.”
Jonathan replied, “Well, you're wrong. It was your subordinate who first insulted me as a furlessmonkey.”
“You stared at me first!” Kazon protested.
Jonathan nodded in acknowledgment. “You're right. I did start staring at you first. But if you hadn't beenlooking at me, how would you have known that I was staring? I didn't yell at you for looking at me, didI?”
“You—” Being an orc, Kazon wasn't as sharp-tongued as Jonathan and could only heave in anger.
On the contrary, Farok's immediate response was swift and aggressive. He let out a thunderous roar, proclaiming, “You have a death wish!” With a powerful stomp of his foot, he sent a flurry of snow intothe air. In a swift motion, he lunged toward Jonathan, resembling a fierce tiger ready to strike.
The latter felt his vision go dark as the former's fist came for him.
D*mn it! They are really hot-tempered. Without delay, Jonathan retaliated with a punch of his own.
Thump! Farok was sent flying backward, clearly not a match for Jonathan.
Seeing that, the remaining four orcs roared out loud and charged toward Jonathan.
Torrence and Yeverie quickly took action.
The four orcs were extremely powerful, but they were also no match for Yeverie and Torrence, who
easily defeated them in a few moves.
The orcs lay on the ground, groaning in pain.
After his fight with Farok, Jonathan finally understood the disadvantage of magic.
F*cking hell! Fortunately, I'm a spiritual fighter. Otherwise, these orcs would have easily killed me, eventhough I'm the one and only Omni-Element Magician.
He hadn't had time to unleash his magic in such a circumstance.
Nonetheless, Farok didn't suffer from any injuries, as Jonathan was careful enough not to hurt him.
Farok rose to his feet. When he saw that his subordinates had all suffered a humiliating defeat, hiseyes turned red as he stormed toward Jonathan.
Orcs were renowned for their bravery and lack of fear in the face of death.
While this trait could be admirable, it often led them to make foolish decisions. Ordinary individualswould have recognized the vast difference in strength between themselves and their adversaries, opting for retreat or surrender. However, the orcs' pride and stubbornness drove them to continue thefight, despite the apparent mismatch in power.
Without warning, Jonathan complimented Farok, “You guys are impressive! All right, I admit mymistake. I shouldn't have stared at you in the first place.”
The latter was taken aback by the former's sudden admission of fault. Still, he wasn't a complete fool.
He naturally knew that continuing the fight would be pointless, as he had no chance of winning againstthese formidable opponents. Seizing the opportunity, he let out a snort, signaling that Jonathan's groupwas free to leave.
Jonathan added, “To show our sincerity, we'll give you these clothes.” He carefully placed the items hehad obtained from the black market and the disguise materials from Heavenly Questions Pavilion onthe ground.
Thereafter, he left with Torrence and Yeverie in tow.
Torrence couldn't contain his amusement and chortled. “Jonathan, you're quite clever, aren't you? Theorcs have a natural curiosity for human clothes and belongings, so they'll most likely take those itemswith them. Even if Heavenly Questions Pavilion rats us out and they come searching, they'll only replacethose orcs, not us.”
Yeverie belatedly realized why Jonathan had chosen to provoke those orcs earlier.
“Mr. Lawson, why didn't you give the clothes to them directly? Why must you fight with them first?” sheasked curiously.
Before Jonathan could answer her question, Torrence interjected, “Yeverie, there is no free lunch in theworld. Had we simply handed them the clothes without any reason, they would have sensed somethingwas amiss despite not being the smartest. This way, it seems more natural and less suspicious.”
“That's right.” Jonathan paused before adding smilingly, “Even so, we can't let our guards down. Theosmust have dispatched a significant number of people to track us down. If anyone discovers ourwhereabouts, all these tricks and plans will be in vain.”
Torrence nodded solemnly. “That's right.”
They then found a secluded area to rest for the night. After setting up their tent, the men decided towait outside while Yeverie changed her clothes. When she was done, the two also changed into theclothes provided by the couple earlier. The new attire drastically altered the trio's appearance. Yeverieand Torrence even opted for different hairstyles, with the latter having long abandoned his GoldenKnight cloak.
Similarly, Jonathan grabbed a hat to conceal his features and allowed his beard to grow, furtherdisguising his identity.
The three of them then slept in the tent in their clothes.
The next day, heavy snowfall blanketed the land, creating a mesmerizing sight in Norwal City.
The city stood proudly amidst the vast snowy tundra, untouched by rain or snow, making it apicturesque haven amidst the snowy expanse.
Right then, a group of around thirty people suddenly appeared outside Norwal City. Some were clad inblack cloaks, and some in white. They bore grim and solemn expressions.
Among them was a majestic, luxurious carriage.
The most striking aspect of the scene was the presence of the creatures pulling the carriage. Theywere not ordinary horses. They were known as Dragon Colts, renowned for their strength and ability totraverse great distances even in the darkest hours of the night.
Dragon Colts were a rare and endangered species in these lands, making it evident that the individualwho possessed not one but two of these magnificent creatures held considerable influence andaffluence.
These people proceeded without any hesitation, swiftly entering the gates of Norwal City.
An elderly man dressed in a black cloak respectfully approached the carriage and addressed theoccupant inside, “Your Holiness, we have reached Norwal City. Please instruct us on our next course ofaction.”
The melodious voice of a woman sounded from within the carriage. “Proceed to the black market.”
“Yes, Your Holiness!”
The black-dressed elderly man was Jayron, the second elder of the Supreme Sect.
He was a highly esteemed Archmage known for his incredible power. Jonathan's spell, Aurora's Praise, had been created by none other than Jayron himself.
Creating spells had its limitations, and the power within those spells was often less potent. If Jayronwere to unleash Aurora's Praise on the spot, its impact would be incredibly potent and powerful.
Those people quickly made their way to the black market.
It had only taken them four days to travel over thirty thousand miles across the snowy tundra. That wasa speed only attainable by plane!
However, how could there be planes in Moranta?
In reality, they were able to travel at such a rapid pace because Lynn and Derren had joined forces toutilize magic teleportation formations.
These formations were scattered throughout various locations, each operating on the same frequency. It was similar to making a phone call, ensuring their successful arrival.
After teleporting through the magic formations, Lynn and the other elders harnessed DistanceShortening Magic to further enhance their speed.
This time, Lynn had one hundred elites with her.
She also brought along one hundred Blood Eagles to capture Jonathan and the like.
It was evident that she had truly lost her temper.
Blood Eagles were capable of tracking people in the air.
At this moment, the remaining subordinates had already dispersed, initiating their search.
The group of one hundred individuals split into forty smaller teams, each equipped with communicationspells to stay connected. These spells, crafted by Lynn herself, ensured that any events or
developments would be swiftly relayed to her. With this system in place, she would be promptlyinformed of any significant occurrences, no matter the location.
The teams and Blood Eagles weren't tasked to kill Jonathan's group, only to replace them. Once Lynnreceived the information about Jonathan's location, she would utilize her formidable powers to swiftlytraverse the distance and arrive at the designated spot.
Lynn's party soon arrived at the black market.
“Your Holiness, we've arrived at the black market,” Jayron reported.
Within the confines of the carriage, Lynn replied, “I'll send a magic primordial spirit to accompany you.Everyone else, stay outside!” Right after she spoke, something changed outside the carriage.
