I Dare You To Meet Me -
Chapter 36
-Stand up, I don’t fight guys who are at a disadvantage. Hunter said as he kept looking at my friend as if he was going to kill him.
Which is probably true and in fact he’s planning it in his mind.
-King, don’t even think about standing up. I threatened but they both ignored me.
Reykon without giving me a glance, but with gentleness, removed my legs from his and stood up. Anton stopped me from doing the same.
-What are you doing, let go of me,” I muttered between my teeth but he tightened his grip on my arm, “Let them go, it had to happen sooner or later. You know Rey would never let you be with someone who doesn’t know how to defend you, so he’s going to measure the guy. And your biker needs to fight for his pride, if what you told us is true. He must feel pretty useless that he couldn’t rescue you so many times. He answered me quietly and I snorted as I watched them.
This is a terrible idea, and you know it. Any harm done will be your mistake.
Caleb, Boris and I will separate them if they get out of control. Besides, Boris could cure them if necessary. My friend tried to calm me down but I crossed my arms while cursing the slugs.
-From your all-powerful protective macho attitude I assume you are the famous Hell. Said Rey as he approached my biker with a calculating look that I knew all too well.
Hunter tensed up at the clear disadvantage he was at not knowing who his opponent was.
-Do you know who I am? He asked suspiciously.
-A little of this, a little of that. I had imagined you more… Hairier, I don’t know, a bigger beard, bushier eyebrows, but you even look. ….” He thought about it for a second and then clicked his tongue and smirked, “Clean, you look cleaner than I expected.
Boris coughed a little to hide his clear laughter and I bit my lower l*p to hide my smile as well. My biker just raised an eyebrow and folded his arms.
-Well, since I haven’t heard anything from you I guess you’re not as important as you want to pretend.
-Me? I’m only the most important man in Medusa’s life after Nikolai. You know, who else knows her, who advises her, who helps her, don’t you love the Jeep I gave her, I’m sure she doesn’t love it as much because she loves her bike. But I’m sure she appreciated the gesture.
Hunter shot me a look before clenching his fists and taking another step closer to Rey.
-From your accent and the fact that you know Nikolai I’ll assume you’re one of his friends. You weren’t in Russia?
-Yeah well, apparently some idiots didn’t know how to take care of her properly and she ended up kidnapped and in the hospital. So we all had to come here to make sure she was better. You know, she’s one of us and we tend to abandon the family. He said that with a sour tone and Hunter let out an idiotic mumble, before letting go of a punch that hit Reykon’s face.
My friend took the blow which must have hurt like hell considering Hunter had muscles of steel. I was even surprised that he just staggered instead of going on his a*s.
The Russian brought his hand to the spot where Hunter hit him and then looked at it and raised an eyebrow.
-That’s all you got?
And the biker obviously reacted to his taunt and tried to take another swing at him, which was effectively dodged and instead he took a knee to the abdomen that didn’t even make him blink.
Hunter grabbed Reykon’s arm and twisted it in a way that made him turn around or he would have broken it, the Russian threw his head backwards smashing his face into the back of his skull. He elbowed him and at last he was free.
Although I suspect Hunter let him go willingly.
He spun around and landed two punches in a row to the face that knocked the raven backwards and he made no attempt to cover himself, just waited and then threw him across the room with a direct kick to the stomach.
Reykon crashed into the nearest wall and Hunter didn’t give him time to recover before returning the blows to his face.
-Shit,” I tried to stand up but again Anton stopped me but now with Caleb’s help, “Get the f**k off me, he’s going to kill him. I complained and fought harder.
-What little faith you have in Rey if you think he’s going to beat him so fast. I don’t doubt that your biker is stronger, but you should know our friend better. He’s still alive after all he’s been through for a reason.
Said and done Reykon found a gap between Hunter’s punches to his face to kick him apart. He then coughed up some b***d before gaining momentum and taking him down. He got on top of him and gave him a few good punches before the situation turned against him and now he was the one with his back to the ground.
The thud of Hunter’s body crashing attracted the attention of the crows that began to come from all around to see what was going on.
Where the hell were they before, was there a last minute discount at the Harley Davidson shop or what the hell?
I was distracted watching the brothers arrive but the fight got my attention again when somehow Reykon managed to get Hunter off his back and now they were rolling all over the place while throwing punches left and right.
I felt like throwing a bucket of cold water on them. And if my friends weren’t holding me I probably would have.
Of the bikers who arrived, Toro was the one I recognised first and the one who dared to get between the two men to separate them. Trying to hold his arms and pull Hunter away from Rey.
-Well, I think it’s time we interfered. Caleb said, punching Anton’s side and then getting to his feet and grabbing Reykon, each by each arm.
Surprisingly, although Toro was bigger and more muscular than Hunter, I could see how he was struggling to keep him at bay.
The Russian on the other hand didn’t resist being pushed away, in fact, he burst out laughing. A laugh that came from the bottom of his soul, as if he had been told the funniest joke in the world.
Idiot, me worrying about his physical condition and him laughing. Maybe my biker had hit his head too much?
Nah, Reykon was already crazy before the fight. I can’t blame Hunter for this.
Or can I?
-I’m sick of the f*****g fights. My club is not a fighting ring, I want a good explanation as to why my VP looks like shit. Interrupted my father, pushing his way through the crows.
Hunter didn’t look down but he accepted the scolding without objecting, he turned to spit b***d on the floor and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, Reykon must have busted his l*p to make him bleed like that.
-He was touching Tasha,” he said after my father pressed him to speak and my father turned to look at me with a frown on his face.
Oh sure, blame it on me. I don’t even care anyway. Slug.
-Natasha, do me a favour and cover for me. Hades said clearly angry and then I realised that I was still wearing a sports bra.
My blouse was forgotten on the couch, I carefully picked it up but just like at the beginning of this whole conflict, I hissed as it hurt to move. I felt like a useless girl.
Boris, who was closest to me, came over and helped me pull it over my head and down my arms before I put it back in place. I smiled and gave him a nod of thanks that made someone grunt.
Hunter, Hades, probably both.
-How dare you lay hands on my daughter! Hades blurted out angrily as he approached my friends.
The Russians tensed and I recognised the hatred in their eyes with fury. They were no great admirers of my father. Well, no one really was, only the Black Ravens seemed to like him.
-Medusa knows how to stand up for herself. Besides, everything was fine, we were just having a little fun here, me and the big guy.
-My daughter’s name is Natasha, and who the hell are you and what are you doing in my club?
-And if you knew your daughter you would know that she hates to be called that, she prefers to be called Tasha or her nickname, which is Medusa. And what I do and don’t do is none of your business. But as a recommendation and a personal suggestion, I recommend you to have a little more security at the entrance. Anyone can walk in and they won’t always have intentions as noble as mine.
-You little rat, how dare you insult my Prez! One of the brothers shouted and they all shouted in support.
-And you brainless idiot. I’m not insulting anyone, I just wanted to make an observation.
Rey replied and let himself fall into Caleb and Anton’s arms. That fool was still haughty even after the beating he’d taken.
-I’ll ask you one more time before I give the order for my boys to kill you. Who are you and what are you doing in my club?
But I felt it was time to intervene and so after giving Boris an intentional look to let me go I stood up and spoke.
-I don’t know why you ask, you of all people should know him. In fact you should recognise them all in general. Ivan and Sabrina are still missing but you should at least get an idea of who they are and what they do here. I walked to stand next to the trio with Boris behind me and holding my shoulders.
Hades gave me an incredulous look.
-I have no idea what you’re talking about, Tasha. So now you’re calling me that, are you? Too bad Hades, minus ten points for that.
I raised an eyebrow and cocked my head to one side before replying.
-Really, because you wrote or asked them to write an account of my life that included an incredibly detailed section on each of them,” Hades stopped frowning and even paled a little as he realised who they were.
My real family.
-But it all seems to have gotten out of hand. Hades, Hell, Ravens. This is Reykon, better known as Rey. The one on your right is Anton- He raises a hand- The one on your left is Caleb- Now he shakes his head in salute- And the one behind me is Boris- I move my hand to take one of his between my fingers. I don’t need to turn around to know he’s smiling.
I can feel it.
-Guys, as you might have assumed, the big biker with the eyes that look like mine is my father, Hades. President of the Black Ravens, Hell, who just got hit with Rey is his Vice President. The one who is holding him is Toro, the club’s Executor, and all the others are the club’s brothers. Everyone was silent not knowing what to do next so I took the initiative, again.
-You should go and have someone look at those wounds,” I said in the direction of Hunter who saw me between hurt and angry, “Let’s go to the flat, we are not going to replace peace here. I turned to the boys.
My friends nodded and while Caleb helped Reykon to walk, Boris helped me. But Hades got in the way, telling us the pace.
-You shouldn’t even be out of bed to begin with, so don’t even think about stepping foot out of this place. He said seriously and I let out a sigh.
-I don’t want to fight with you, I really don’t. But I’ve been away from my family for a long time. But I’ve been away from my family for a long time and I’d like to have a few moments of peace before something else happens.
Hades looked as if he’d been given a physical blow by the grim expression that covered his face.
-Medusa is old enough to decide for herself. But we’ll take care of her anyway, she’ll be safe. Boris said and I felt good that he would be the one to speak instead of Rey or Caleb, who knows what idiocy that pair would say.
-This isn’t Russia or wherever you come from, we have big enemies out there who are waiting for any opportunity. Kids like you don’t know what you’re saying about taking care of one of our own. Toro said, or rather spat.
Waitnnnnn, one of your own, do you consider me part of the club?
-Well, we took very good care of her for the last three years, considering that at least she wasn’t kidnapped and tortured and then taken to the hospital in a coma. Anton said acidly and I pushed him a little.
-I’ll be back tonight or tomorrow morning and there’s nothing you can do to stop me. You say you want to redeem your mistakes as a father, well here’s the perfect opportunity. Trust me and don’t try to bind my wings when I have been free for so long.
My father did not take his eyes from mine at any moment and I saw him give in little by little, in the end he just closed his eyes and turned away.
-Just don’t forget to take your medicine. And without further ado he left.
The brothers, my friends and even I was surprised by his quick surrender. I was honestly expecting him to fight more or get angrier. I guess I’m not the only one who is tired of fighting for every decision.
-Come on Tasha, do you want some help? Boris asked me as he squeezed my shoulders and I gave him a quiet smile as I shook my head.
-I just want to get to the flat so I can rest and get Rey’s wounds treated. As much as he deserves it. I said that last in a louder tone with every intention of him hearing me. Rey responded with his middle finger raised in my direction.
Classic.
We started walking towards the exit of the club with the brothers’ eyes following us, Hunter’s gaze burning me more than any other.
Something tugged at my stomach when I saw him hurt by Reykon, so I signalled for them to go ahead and went to check on him.
Toro had already let him free but stayed by his side, so they both could hear perfectly what I said.
-Are you all right? I asked awkwardly.
-Better than you, my friend, yes. He answered angrily, I let out a sigh and crossed my arms.
-Don’t say it with that tone. Rey is just my friend and I owe him a lot, besides you shouldn’t have started a fight inside the club-. I replied with a bit of anger, Hunter snorted and rolled his eyes.
-Of course he did, a friend who f****d you and gives you a late model truck, you think I was born yesterday, and I wouldn’t have started a fight if I hadn’t seen my girl sitting on another idiot’s lap in her underwear. He shouted the last part at me and the veins in his neck and forehead stood out.
-First of all you calm down because I don’t allow you to raise your voice at me,” I said in a serious tone, “Secondly, Reykon and I never f****d, and even if we had, that’s in the past and you can’t hold it against me. Third, the van was a gift from all of us but it was Rey the one who gave it to me and the one with the idea, and although it was a very generous gesture, I don’t like that they spend so much money on me when that’s the last thing I need right now-. I started breathing heavily, trying to contain the anger inside my body.
-What about being half naked in the middle of a room full of men? He continued in the same position.
-My blouse was inside out and I was adjusting it with the help of my friends because you of all people should know how hard it is for me to dress and undress myself.” My cheeks filled with heat at that statement and I ignored Toro’s raised eyebrows, “Friends who have seen me with even less clothes on and who have saved my life on many occasions. I tried to make him understand that I was exaggerating.
For heaven’s sake I was wearing a sports bra that even covered more than several tops he had seen me wear in the past.
-How would you feel if you found me in a room full of women and I had one on my knees half naked? He said, running his hands through his hair and pulling it back.
I grimaced and he gave me a tug on my stomach.
-You wouldn’t like that, would you,” he said with a tone of mockery and irony that I hated.
-You are free to do what you want with your life. I forced the words out of my mouth and hated myself immediately.
Hunter’s eyes turned from angry to deadly cold.
-Can I really do whatever the hell I want? He asked me in a calm voice and I raised my head too proud to back down, “Well, it’s a good thing you clarified it for me, I won’t confuse things again. He finished in a dry tone.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you mess up with the man you love.
I felt bad the moment my biker stopped looking at me with his black eyes and went in the direction of the bar without caring about the open wounds on his face.
I dropped my head back and let out a curse as I rubbed my face.
-I understand what it’s like to have a circle of friends so close that they become like family,” Toro’s voice startled me and I turned to look at him in shock that he was talking to me, “The Black Ravens are a group of people full of problems or shitty lives who were alone until we found this club. He continued.
-And this is the point where you threaten me and tell me I don’t deserve to be with Hunter? I said in a joking tone although fun is the last thing I felt.
-Shut up and listen for once in your life,” I pursed my lips in annoyance but I kept quiet, “Ever since Hell came to this club he never got along with everyone. Most of us were annoyed that he came in out of nowhere and gained the Prez’s trust from one second to the next. At first we thought he was a traitor or a rat who was looking for us to f**k us in the back. But time showed us what idiots we were. With every passing moment Hell showed us an amazing and unwavering loyalty not only to the Prez, but to the club in general. Not once did he complain about all the responsibilities he had or question your father’s judgement on how to run the club.
He fell silent and waited a few seconds before saying:
-I know Hunter’s loyal to the Black Ravens, you think I didn’t notice that? Even a blind man could see the love he has for his waistcoat and his patches. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for you. And my voice came out more spiteful than I’d like.
-Exactly, Hell never disobeyed a single order. He was the best example of discipline you could replace. Until you came along. My frown turned cold and a shiver ran through me.
-Me? The biker with the scar nodded and continued with his story.
-Since you came into his life, I’ve seen him do things no brother ever saw him capable of before. He lets you ride with him on his motorbike, something that has never happened before. He worries about where and how you are. He argues with the Prez about how he shouldn’t control your life and that he trusts you more. Threatens every guy who even thinks of saying anything rude or stupid about you. And when you were injured, he was supposed to stay and take care of the wounded and help us with the bodies. But instead he asked me to cover for him so he could stay by your side until you recovered. I’d stick my neck out that he spent more time in the hospital than Hades, looking after you. Worried that there was a dragon on the loose trying to finish you off.
Hunter had done everything, why didn’t he tell me sooner?
Toro made my affection for the biker grow to stratospheric levels, as well as the guilt that churned in my guts.
-I ruined everything, didn’t I? I asked already knowing the answer.
The biker with the scar shrugged.
-There’s nothing that man wouldn’t do for you. There aren’t many of us who would be willing to go that far to be with someone. Keep that in mind the next time you get mad at him.
He started to walk away from me, following the same direction Hunter had taken minutes before.
-Toro, do me a favour and take care of his wounds.
I told him as I kept walking, he didn’t turn or make any gesture to indicate that he had heard me but I didn’t doubt that he had.
What do you know.
Of all the people I thought would lecture me about my relationship with the Vice President, Toro was not one of them.
Having finished with the conversation I finally went out to the car park where the guys were waiting for me in my Jeep.
Where the hell did they get the keys, no idea, did I care, not a bit. My Russian friends and I were the kind of people that if we wanted something, we got it.
Caleb was at the wheel, Boris, Anton and Rey in the back leaving me the passenger seat. Which I soon sat in.
-Is everything alright? Caleb asked me as he started the van.
-No,” I closed my eyes and leaned my forehead against the door window, “I screwed up and I need to replace a way to fix things.
-Do you want to stay? My friend asked me again and I looked away and turned to him with a grimace.
-The truth is no, I’ve been locked up for weeks if not months in the clubhouse, the hospital and the damn abandoned building where I was being held hostage. I need to use my legs for something before frustration makes me sin of pride again. I finished in a resigned tone.
Caleb nodded and didn’t say anything, he just led us through the streets towards my flat. A flat I hadn’t been to since that morning when my mum’s lawyer had given me the news that I had to live with my dad for a whole year.
I wanted to laugh at how ridiculous it seemed that it had happened so long ago. So much had happened since then that my mother’s will seemed like a minuscule thing compared to everything else I had had to deal with.
To muffle the silence in the van I decided to turn on the radio and fiddled with the stations until I found one where Du Hast by Rammstein was playing.
A nostalgic smile stretched across my lips, Rammstein was Nikolai’s favourite band and because of them I knew almost all the songs by heart, as did most of the boys.
So the five of us stood listening to the music while we were stuck in the midday traffic.
(…)
When we got to the building the boys parked across the street. We all got out and this time Reykon managed to make the trip from the van to the flat by himself.
I caught a glimpse of the same doorman who was here the first time I arrived and saw him grimacing at our arrival. Or the arrival of my friends. I made a mental note to ask them if they had any problems trying to get into the flat.
When we finally got to the door of this one and walked through. My jaw came close to scraping the floor with how wide it was open.
Only one night. The Russians had spent only one night here and the place looked like our home in the slums of our city.
Clothes everywhere, from the armchairs to the stair railings. Uneven shoes scattered on the floor. Dirty dishes on the floor and on the kitchen counter. Half-opened suitcases in the living room. Furniture out of place and the occasional stain on the walls.
Rey walked past me and used one of his fingers to clench my jaw.
-He who warns does not betray Medusa. He reminded me of his warning from the night before.
-How the hell did they pull off this mess in such a short time, Anton and Caleb didn’t even spend the night here! I exclaimed in shock.
Reykon and Boris shrugged their shoulders before going to sit down. Boris set about healing him while Rey cursed and swore death to all the bikers in the world.
Caleb and Anton disappeared upstairs probably looking for a room, to take a shower or to fall asleep who knows. I let out a sigh and tried to sort out the mess around me.
I gave up a couple of minutes later and set about trying to cook something decent. Bad idea, there was nothing in the cabinets. I picked up the phone at the place and dialed the front desk to order some food for everyone. Then I went back to where my friends were.
Boris was putting away all the utensils and Reykon was looking at himself in the hall mirror.
-Is everything alright? I asked crossing my arms and Boris nodded to me.
-He’s not broken, he’s just a bit bruised and his pride is hurt because he definitely took more of a beating than the two of us. I nodded my thanks and walked over to my friend.
-Are you in a lot of pain? I said with a bit of remorse, he gave me a half smile and shook his head, “I’m glad,” I finished and smiled too. Reykon knowing me better than anyone else narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
But I didn’t give him time to react when my kick to his stomach sent him crashing into the wall. A kick identical to the one Hunter had given him minutes before. Reykon coughed and slid down the wall to the floor.
I grimaced at the stabbing pain in my body from the sudden movement and dropped to lie down on the nearest couch.
Boris just winked at me before sitting down with me and checking that I hadn’t opened any wounds.
-I’ll admit I deserved that. Reykon acknowledged after a few minutes of catching his breath.
-You shouldn’t have provoked him like that. I said calmly and with a hint of annoyance in my voice.
-In my defence, he was the one who threatened me and who raised his fist first. Rey defended himself and stood up amidst several complaints. I rolled my eyes.
-Don’t be complaining that my kicks aren’t half as strong as they used to be,” Rey gave me a dirty look and mumbled something about not knowing how to measure my strength, “And in Hunter’s defense, you were deliberately picking on him to get him to react. He shouldn’t have started the fight but you shouldn’t have incited it. I reproached him and now it was him who rolled his eyes.
With confident steps he made his way to the single sofa opposite where Boris and I were, and sat down, dropping his head back.
-I’ll give your biker credit, not since Nikolai have I seen such an impressive right hook. He mumbled as he touched the spot where Hunter’s fist first hit his face.
I sighed before replying.
-I’m not sure what my biker is. I confessed and looked away from my friend to the ceiling.
-Why do you say that, I have a bruise map all over my body about how much the guy cares about defending your honour. He answered after a few seconds and I shuddered.
I hated to see two of the men I cared about fighting like that.
I summarized my brief conversation with Hunter and then Toro’s lecture to both of them. I made special emphasis on the wounded, stony expression the black-eyed raven adopted after what I said about him being able to do with his life as he pleased.
When I finished telling them the story, silence fell over the room before I dared to turn my head to see Reykon’s serious expression. I turned just in time to receive a cushion slamming cleanly into my face.
-Hey! I g*****d and threw it back.
-You’re an idiot, I always told you that your pride would be your destruction. He reproached me and his tone made me feel like the silly teenager I was when I first met him.
-This is coming from the person who went to blows with a person he had just met. I also say reproachfully.
-I’m your friend, it’s my duty to do idiotic things in your relationship, and it’s yours to fight for what you want. Why don’t you want it?
-We’re not even in an official relationship. I complain and Reykon throws the cushion back at me.
-Since when did you care so much about having a damn label to define them? Before you didn’t even care about knowing the guy’s name most of the time.
Damn it Reykon, I don’t want to answer that.
-I don’t care. I mumbled and now it was Boris who pulled my hair earning a g***n from me.
-There you go again. Letting your pride take control of your tongue.
-Well, what do you want me to do? I replied tiredly to which they both turned to look at each other before shrugging their shoulders.
-Do what you want, it’s your life, but when that biker gets tired of chasing you, don’t be crying in the corners. Boris warned me.
-I’ve never cried over a boy. My tone sounded defensive.
-Remember what Nikolai used to say every time I did something stupid. Rey suggested.
-Never say never. The three of us replied in unison and burst out laughing.
I bit my l*p and started playing with my fingernails.
I complained about Hunter’s jealousy and threw it in his face when in real life I was even more jealous than him. In a way I understand why he would be so angry with Reykon and although I don’t approve of his behaviour, I shouldn’t have been so hard on him.
-Damn it, I shouldn’t be here. I thought out loud.
-THAT’S THE FIRST F*****G THING YOU’VE SAID SINCE YOU’VE BEEN HERE THAT MAKES SENSE. Someone shouts from upstairs and I recognise Sabrina’s voice.
Why the hell didn’t she come downstairs to greet me?
-Listening to other people’s conversations is rude Sabrina! I shouted in response as I sat down on the couch.
-Go to hell and better go replace your man before one of the whores at the club where he lives takes advantage of his spite. He answered me and I could finally see his figure coming out of one of the doors and then down the stairs.
No, Hunter would never be with a sweet a*s. He himself had confessed to me how he didn’t like to spend much time with them and that he only got to do it once in a while a long time ago.
But a little voice in my head told me that a man scorned was capable of anything.
Oh, that’s not how the phrase went, is it, well, it serves the same purpose.
-Who has the keys to my truck? I asked as I stood up and remembered that Caleb was the one who drove up here. I said and looked at the stairs, it really was a pain in the a*s to have to climb them.
-I’ll get them and give you a ride, you’re in no condition to drive,” said my friend and winked at me.
-It’s okay, Caleb must have the keys.
-Wait here for a second. And just like that, he disappeared up the stairs.
There was the sound of a door opening, several knocks and shouts, then a door slamming and finally the blonde came running down the stairs so fast that she tripped several times giving us all a mini heart attack.
-Are you sure you’re going to let this crazy woman drive? Rey asked me with raised eyebrows and shooting unsure looks at our friend.
-Shut up Rey, I’ve been driving since I was fifteen and you know it. The blonde gave him a deadly look.
-I know and that’s exactly why I never let you use my car. I let out a laugh as my friend flashed her middle finger at her.
-Let’s go before I regret it and let one of these idiots take you to make your biker even angrier. She said and I followed her towards the door.
We said goodbye to the guys and I told them that the food would be here soon and to keep an eye out for it.
Sabrina complained all the way back to the clubhouse about what an idiot I had been and that I deserved a spanking. And I went away complaining that what I needed was moral support and not more reproaches.
One thing I have to admit to my friend is that we made half the time it would normally take to get there.
I just hoped I didn’t replace any speeding tickets in my name.
We parked in the usual spot (the one that seemed to have become my spot).
And we both got out, some brothers waved at me while others ignored me, well I’d rather they ignored me than behaved like the assholes they were before I became their Prez’s daughter.
We walked in and I went straight to the bar knowing that I was going to replace the Vice President there.
No mistake, Hunter was at one of the tables with Toro and the twins sitting with him. My throat closed up and my hands balled into fists when I saw at least five sweet asses with them.
One was making out with one of the twins while sitting on his lap, two others were making eyes at an indifferent Toro, another was laughing and toasting with the other twin and the last one was standing behind Hunter while massaging him and bringing her lips too close to his neck.
Okay fine, this is what the biker was talking about earlier. I’m not jealous, I’m not going to get mad, I’m going to act like a civil person….
HE’S KISSING HER SHOULDER AND NECK AND HE’S LEAVING HER.
I’m going to kill that bitch and I’m going to cut his balls off.
None of them have seen us and Sabrina gives me a tug on my arm before I can go kill someone.
-For once in your life Tasha, think about how to finish a fight instead of how to start one. He said in a serious tone and I pursed my lips.
Okay maybe committing murder isn’t the most mature response on my part after my jealousy speech a few hours ago.
I thanked her with my eyes and she let me go. I walked with a firm step and my fists clenched tightly at my sides in an attempt to control myself, Hunter, as always, was the first to notice I was there, but unlike always, he tensed up and averted his gaze paying attention to the bottle of beer in his hand.
The other crows also noticed my arrival but none of them made a sound to greet me, I cleared my throat but Hunter didn’t take his eyes off the bottle. So I decided to risk talking anyway.
-Can we talk? I asked and the girl still holding Hunter’s shoulders leaned closer to him, revealing a large portion of her cleavage.
-Why should we? She answered nonchalantly and I was hurt by her tone more than I was willing to admit.
Hunter had never used that tone with me before.
-Because I have to tell you something.
-I think you said all you should have said earlier. What are you doing here, shouldn’t you be with your friends? Okay, this is harder than I thought.
-This is more important. I insisted but he kept ignoring me, my temper exploded, “You know what, go to hell”. I got angry and went in the direction of the bar where my friend was flirting with the biker bartender.
Which struck me as odd since there was usually a sweet a*s bartender attending to her.
-I guess that didn’t go the way you wanted it to. She said handing me a drink and I handed her back the glass.
-I can’t drink alcohol with medication. I complained and she shrugged and downed it in one gulp.
-Tell Mama Sab what’s bothering you. She batted her eyelashes and made me laugh even though the anger was still flowing through my veins.
-The idiot didn’t even pay attention to me, he was too busy seeing how many calories were in his damn beer. I replied angrily.
-Dude, if women could easily get men to pay attention to them, we wouldn’t have to hide video games or mobile phones from them.
-So what’s your suggestion then, all-powerful and wise Russian?
If Mohammed doesn’t go to the mountain… Use your imagination Tasha.
He handed me another glass but this time it was filled with plain water, this time I took it and took a big gulp. The liquid slid down my throat and refreshed all the way to my stomach.
Well, here we go again. I turned in time to see the vixen begin to settle down, sitting on the raven’s legs.
This time I followed my instinct and approached again, stomping my feet and showing the bikers that I wasn’t in a good mood to play.
When I reached Hunter it didn’t take me two seconds to use all the strength I had to push the bitch away from his body. The girl took a nasty hit to the side and bounced on the floor half whimpering, the people around us stopped whatever they were doing and paid attention to us.
The charcoal-eyed biker had a look of disbelief on his face that turned to anger. But before he could yell anything at me, I sat down in the same position the broad was in and my hands went up to her black hair and pulled on it to put her head in whatever position I wanted.
Hunter g*****d and his whole body throbbed, his hands went to my h**s and he squeezed them hard.
My ribs and other parts of my body throbbed hard but I didn’t think anything of it.
-What the hell are you doing Tasha? He asked me but I heard his voice get several tones louder.
-Calling for your attention. I answered and joined his lips with mine.
It was a purely carnal k**s, Hunter didn’t follow my k**s at first, so I annoyingly took his lower l*p between my teeth and pulled it until I opened the wound that Rey had given him, making it bleed again. The metallic taste exploded on our palates and the biker hissed in pain.
The biker embraced me, disappearing the space between our bodies as our mouths fought a battle. Biting, lips, tongue.
I’d never been kissed the way Hunter had. And I loved the sensations that ran from the tips of my toes to the last strand of my hair. Being in the biker’s tattooed arms created a combustion in my body, heating every inch of skin he touched. A short circuit in my nervous system, an earthquake in my gut, those were the best descriptions of what he made me feel.
As we kissed as if we hadn’t done it in years the brothers began to shout and squeal with excitement. I could hear the voices of Toro and the twins in the distance, I could hear Sabrina too. But all that was in the background, in my head and in my heart there was only room for the hot man who was turning me into lava.
Among so many comments one about my father made Hunter turn away from me and I cursed in Russian at the stupid man who said it. But just as I was about to k**s him again, the onyx-eyed biker lowered his hands to my a*s and stood up taking me with him. I wrapped my legs around his h**s and hugged him tighter. He bit back the bite I’d given him at first and carried me out as I pulled him in.
Call it adrenaline or the heat of the moment, but all the pain in my body seemed to magically disappear, leaving me with a growing need to be skin to skin with my biker.
I thought he was going to take us up the stairs to my room but he impressed me by leading us in the direction of the car park, we walked through the doors and the cold that was starting to set in contrasted with my warm body making me shiver in his arms.
In a few steps we reached what I recognized as his motorbike, he let me slide gently to the ground, he separated from me and got on the beautiful Harley, he started it, put on a helmet and took another one from one of the saddlebags he had and extended it to me, when he was going to grab it he put it back out of my reach and looked at me seriously.
-It’s your last chance to finish what’s between us Natasha, if you accept this helmet there’s no turning back. I won’t let you out of my life even if you beg me on your knees or end up hating me. I don’t want a simple romp between us, it’s not just s*x here,” he pointed at us, “This is all or nothing, so think it through. He extended his helmet in my direction again.
I bit my l*p and raised my hands to take it but dropped them again.
Hunter hadn’t said it out loud but I had understood the meaning between the lines of his words.
If I left with him tonight, there was no way he was going to let me go back to Russia when the year was over.
He didn’t want us to just sleep together, it was obvious that we both had very strong feelings for each other.
But were they strong enough to make me trade my whole future for him, for a relationship that would probably end badly, but what if it ended badly?
But what if it ended well?
My conscience whispered to me.
Seconds passed but Hunter’s hands stayed firmly in place, the Harley purred and my hand began to rise. I saw the gleam in the onyx eyes of the only man who had ever made a romantic place in my heart.
Would I be able to live in this place, would I be able to be so close to my father, would I be able to watch my friends leave, would I be able to trust him completely?
And most importantly ….
Would I be able to give my heart to him?
