Once they stepped out of the elevator, Gage headed for the opposite direction. But he stopped and turned around to look at her over his shoulder. "Well then, Miss Lee. See you tomorrow." He said, flashing her that smirk again before he strolled away.

Eva just stood there, watching his retreating figure. Somehow, that uneasy feeling she had felt earlier resurfaced again after seeing his smirk. It was like she was forgetting something very important. What was it? What was it?!! Gage's smirk kept flashing in her mind. She knew there must be something that he knew which she is forgetting. Or else, he would not be behaving this way.

Then it popped in her mind. The contract! The condition! Her task!!!

Her eyes stretched wide, remembering that particular condition that she must live with him. If she wanted to keep her peace and focus on her work, she could not possibly give him even a hint of a reason to start messing with her again by breaking any of his conditions! The sly man!!

"Wait! Sir! Mr. Acheron!" She immediately rushed after his already retreating back, not caring if she was losing face by doing so - a woman running after a man.

To her surprise, the man did not stop at all. This insufferable big devil!!

"Gage!" she shouted out, red faced, and she bit her lip and looked around when he halted immediately hearing his name from her lips.

"Hmm?" he looked over his shoulder innocently, pretending to be shocked why should she be running after him all flushed and panting away. She saw him feigning ignorance and gritted her teeth, all the while cursing him in her mind. He blinked at her and waited for her to finally reach him.

She took a deep stabilizing breath before saying,

"You're right. I guess we won't be needing two separate units." Eva spoke coolly. "Let's go, Sir."

Gage half-bite down on his lower lip, trying to stop himself from chuckling, before he nodded amiably, looking like he was in an even better mood now as he led her to his presidential suite. This little tigress of his... looks like she remembered her duties quite fast, huh? Ah, well...

The instant they were inside, touring the place they were going to stay in for three nights, as expected, the tigress started to talk.

"Wait a second. This unit only has one bed?! Gage, you need to change the unit. We need a suite with two beds." She told him in a serious tone and before Gage could say a word, she walked over to the phone and made the call to the reception.

Gage did not say anything and just settled himself on the comfortable sofa, facing a floor to ceiling window that was overlooking a beautiful harbor. The sunset was also pretty scenic. That was not surprising though, because he was the one who choose this best room and spot in this city. All the while, he was keeping an ear out to the conversation that was going on the phone, smiling contentedly.

"They said that there are no other rooms available." Eva reported as she approached him, her expression telling him that she was now in a dilemma.

"I figured that's the case. This hotel is extremely famous after all. It is not possible to get a good room without booking at least a month in advance, and that is if you are lucky. And before you suggest it, nope, we won't be wasting time looking for another hotel, Eva. This is the best hotel there is here in this place. And you should know that I only expect the best - in everything. So forget it." Gage said, casually rejecting Eva's idea on wanting to replace another room or another hotel even before she could voice it out, keeping his eyes on the red sky.

She fell quiet and did not protest anymore. But it did not escape Gage's notice that she was eying the comfortable and large sofa with much thought.

"I'll go take a shower first." She said and then left quietly to get their luggage.

But just as she grabbed them, Gage took them from her hands and brought them next to the closet, arranging the bags neatly to the side.

When Gage left to order dinner, Eva dealt with her luggage and arranged them in the closet. Once she was done, she stared at Gage's luggage wondering if she should do them too. Deciding that it was no big deal for her, since she was his assistant after all, she opened his luggage and started arranging his things into the closet as well.

She was given the title as his personal secretary, and she knew that this was part of her job description too. She also did not mind doing this at all. But somehow, looking at their clothes being arranged and placed inside a single closet was just a bit...

Eva shook her head to clear it from any unnecessary thoughts and she then quickly rushed into the bathroom for her bath.

...

The duo dined, worked on their own business, then Eva did her tasks like always.

And now that she was done with her bed-warming duty, she rose to leave the bed when Gage's voice echoed out.

"You're not going to sleep on the sofa, Eva. I would not allow it." his deep voice startled her.

She spun around to look at him and found him gazing at her as he laid there, half naked from the waist up. If she had not steeled her mind and been ready for it, she was sure that her face would have had flushed red from the view.

For many nights, she had tried not to even look his way while warming his bed. Of course, it was all to avoid looking at such a wonderful scene such as this and the temptation it brought. After all, she was apparently a normal woman when it comes to this man.

"And no, I'm not going to be a gentleman and give you my bed either." He added flatly, his tone uncompromising. "You and I will sleep right here in this bed."
