Chapter 218 Don't Hurt Her

Larry asked, "What do you want to say?"

"Is Annie with you?" Harper didn't waste any time. Since she made this phone call, she must figure it out.

Larry smiled and said, "I don't understand what you're saying."

"Whether you genuinely don't understand or are pretending not to." Harper furrowed her brow, took a deep breath, and continued, "If you lock her up, it will become widely known soon. If you just want to retaliate against her, then you have achieved your goal, but if you love her, then you will succeed in destroying her!"

Larry didn't say anything.

But his reaction was enough for Harper to confirm that he had taken Annie. Harper breathed a sigh of relief.

She continued without waiting for Larry's response, "No matter what happened between you two, I hope you can talk to her and not hurt her."

Larry laughed. "You couple think alike!"

"We couple?"

Harper frowned and said, "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing."

Larry no longer spoke, but Harper couldn't help but wonder, "Did Benjamin say something to him?"

She squinted her eyes. The more she thought, the more confused she felt, and in the end, she couldn't come up with a reason. So she shook her head and stopped thinking about it. She guessed. "Maybe I'm overthinking it."

There was a moment when she thought Benjamin had already talked to Larry.

"But he already said he has no obligation to help me, so how could it be him?"

She was thinking about it when suddenly her phone rang.

It was a number from Dattlech.

She had a vague premonition. The voice on the phone was a low man's voice. "Harper, this is Anderson. Why is Annie's phone turned off? Where is she?"

Harper's eyelashes trembled as she

replied, "Her phone is broken, and she hasn't bought a new one yet. So it is in shutdown mode. She is accompanying my grandmother. Or should I have her call you later?"

"No need. I don't have anything. I just couldn't reach her, so I came to ask you."

"Don't worry, she's doing well with me," Harper responded, pretending to be calm.

Anderson didn't think much and said, "Thank you."

"You're welcome. Annie and I are good friends, and you know it."

Because Anderson knew, he didn't suspect anything. After their conversation, Harper placed her phone on the table, feeling extremely anxious.

She thought to herself, "If I can't reach Annie all this time, Anderson will definitely start to suspect. But I can't convince Larry, and I have no idea how Annie is doing right now."

The night lights in Mayby were

dazzling. Less than half an hour away from Rineview Villa, there was

a wealthy neighborhood. Inside detached mansion, Annie was sleeping soundly on a spacious bed. The door was pushed open, and a muscular man walked in with slow steps.

He loosened his tie and threw it aside, then approached Annie on the bed.

She was awakened by a kiss, a kiss that almost took away her breath, making her struggle as if she were sinking into the deep sea.

As she opened her eyes and saw the man on top of her, she said coldly "Larry, is this all you're capable of? If you have the guts, don't lock me up. What kind of man are you for hiding me like this?"

Larry held her chin and said, "You're right, I'm not capable enough, so I can only keep you here. Do you think I should let you escape again?"

Annie cursed mercilessly, "What kind of man are you? Who gives you the right to lock me up? You already have a fiancée, yet shamelessly cling to me. You disgust me!"
