IMPALA (Farside Saga: Book One) -
Chapter Five: Them (Part One)
"Destiny is set." Thought soared through empty space faster than anything created by any living being. It went straight to a very, very distant spiral galaxy that sat all to itself in the vast dark expanse of space. This particular galaxy didn't move relative with the other galaxies but has stayed in its one spot since creation defying all understandable laws of physics. There was no physical movement within the galaxy itself but Thought as it coursed through the thousands of solar systems without disturbing a single graviton towards the galaxy's center. Once reaching its destination, there was a bright flash of light that lite up the spacial skies for a split second and an unheard voice thundered behind it. "And Fate is in motion." The galaxy slowly began turning as the two spirals drew in turning the galaxy into a disc that began to shimmer and spin faster. It started dissipating as trillions and trillions of light sources began flying off in all directions until there was only the galaxy's central mass. It sat there motionless as its luminosity dimmed down to a soft glow.
"Let those who are worthy, replace their place." a voice said as it sat and watched the whole event from afar. "The other one is gone as you have said." another voice accompanied it. "He will return, do not worry." the first voice said. "But what if he doesn't? Do you think we will survive the aftermath?" came the second. "Of all the beings in all the galaxies of this plane, his is the only one that can fully harness the flow of Herion energy, yet they still do not understand their full potential. Yes....yes, he will return. Resilient and curious species they are, but yet still children." the first voice said as it focused its vision towards the milky way galaxy. "Do u still believe them to be the next ascension?" the second voice said. "If this plane still exists, it is of their self-influence that will determine the course of their ascension. They will have to make a choice of life or of death, but it is their mortality that I fear will be their undoing. HE will have to be the one to open their perception." the first voice said as it focused its vision on its target.
