Penelope gaped at Tobias in amazement as he took a seat besideSkylar.

He glanced at Skylar and asked calmly, “Is that so? Tell me, how exactlydid I take advantage of you?”

Skylar did not miss the hint of menace in his tone. In order to avoidaggravating the situation, she hastily said, “This is not the time to talkabout that. I'm going shopping with Penelope. You can stay here.”With that, she hurriedly stood up to escape. However, Tobias reachedout to grasp her wrist. “I just arrived, and you're already leaving. In arush to meet your boyfriend?”

After Tobias released his firm grip on her wrist, she shook her hand torelieve the pressure he caused. Then she turned to Penelope andmumbled, “You should go home.
