“Your mother is a murderer. Yet, you expect me to believe her words?You have to pay for the baby’s death,” Claudia cursed her.

Her vicious remark sent a chill down Skylar's spine. Claudia must havebeen so enraged that she made such a remark in the public. Eventually,those people were also having cold sweats upon hearing her comment.“Mom, you looked tired. I will handle the issue here. Please return tothe ward first.”

Claudia noticed that Tobias didn’t even blame her for the entireepisode. Instead, he still defended her.

Tobias didn't have any intention to go inside.

“Why do I need to go inside? I don’t want to do that,” Tobias repliedwithout any hesitation.

Although Tanya was still lying inside the delivery room, Skylar didn'teven show any sympathy for her.

Even a fierce tigress wouldn't eat its own cub. However, Tanya hadresorted to such an unscrupulous way just to frame me. This womanwas very cruel indeed. As such, she was compatible with Tobias.

“Are you hungry? I can take you to eat something,” Tobias asked whilefeeling a bit exhausted.

Skylar shook her head. “I don't have any appetite. In fact, I don’t wish toeat anything. I am returning to my mum's ward. I'll fetch her from thehospital tomorrow. Carry on with whatever that you have to do! It is notappropriate for me to be here.”

Tobias asked her in return, “There is no such thing. As long as I am byyour side, no one can harm you.”

Upon hearing that, Skylar felt warm in her heart. In addition, she feltcontent with the promise that Tobias made. At the time when she felthelpless, Tobias didn’t accuse her like the others. For that, she wasgrateful to him.

“Do you believe in me? I don't mind if others misunderstand me since Ionly care about your opinion.”

Tobias gently stroked her slightly messy hair. “There is no reason why Ishouldn't believe you. I believe in everything that you told me. Now,you don't have to worry too much. I will see you once the issue hasbeen sorted out.”
