Skylar's voice sounded monotonous from all the shivering. “You'remuch better.”

Tobias was really satisfied with her answer, but he squat at the bedsideand said, “Louder. I can't hear you.”

So Skylar repeated her answer over and over again as Tobias repeatedlyasked her another three more times.

After that, Tobias picked her up by the shoulder and used his phone toturn off the vibration remotely. The room was quiet once again.

No one would have thought that Tobias would know how to use suchan app since he did not even know how to make payments with hisphone.

“Can we do this more often?” Tobias caressed Skylar's face as he spoke.He knew how to comfort her after sessions like these.

Skylar did not answer, so he smiled. “I'll take that as a yes then. Gowash up now. The night is still young.”

She looked at him, astonished. Skylar thought they were done, butTobias had to drop that bombshell on her.

While Skylar was in the shower, Tobias was smoking on the bed withonly a pair of underwear on him. All a sudden, Susan called, but heimmediately denied it.

Tobias did not want to be thinking about work during the night since itwas his free time.

However, the phone rang once again. Tobias was getting a bit fed up sohe took the call. “It's late. What is it?" He asked in cold manner.

“Mr. Ford, you should check Instagram. Two members of the companyjumped of a building this afternoon. It's trending right now.”

After the call ended, Tobias waited for Skylar to come out and asked,“Where's your phone? Give it to me.”

Skylar hesitated for a split second. “What do you need my phone for?You want to inspect the content?”

"Of course not.”

Skylar said nothing more as she bent down to pick up her pants fromthe floor. She then took out her phone from it and handed it to Tobias.He proceeded to look for the icon for Instagram. When all of a sudden,a message popped out from the top of the screen.

Kai: I'm going back soon. You said you'd treat me to a meal.

Tobias’ expression darkened as he stared at Skylar. “Are the things I tellyou a joke to you?”

Skylar felt puzzled as there was nothing on her phone that she'd beafraid to show people. His reaction was odd to her.

“What are you talking about? I didn’t do anything that is against yourorder, I think .” Skylar was not sure, so she added the last two words forinsurance.

However, Tobias did not respond. He did not care about Instagramanymore as he opened up Skylar's WhatsApp.

When Skylar got close to see what he was looking at, Tobias wasalready looking at her conversation with Kai.

“We're just good friends!” She bit her lips and immediately explained.“Don't overthink it. And why are you looking through my messagesanyway? Do I not have any privacy anymore?”

Skylar reached out to grab her phone from Tobias, but he raised hisarm to block her.

He started scrolling back their conversation and found out that theyhad been talking very frequently.

Right then, Tobias closed his eyes and took a deep breath. From Skylar’perspective, he was emitting a terrifying aura. The situation at themoment was like the calm before a storm.

So, she quickly tried to explain herself once again. “We are really justgood friends. You can see that from our conversation that we neverwent out of line.”

“I told you in the past to stay away from him.” Tobias voice was low andexuded a lot of pressure. “What are you doing right now? Do you likemessaging him so much? Why not just talk face to face? He's askingyou out for a meal anyway.”

Skylar sat beside the bed, her hair was still dripping wet and her facelooked a little sad.

“I didn't even talk too much with him. He's your cousin after all, there'sno way something would happen between us.”
