His words shattered Skylar's hope of trying to stall for time.

Listening to the sound of water running in the bathroom, Tobiasglanced around the bedroom.

He saw a notebook that Skylar left on the bed. It looked old with theposter of an old movie on the cover.

Sitting down by the bed, he began to flick through it carelessly.

Soon after that, he paused at the last page of her notebook, and itseemed like her budget tracker, her cursive handwriting beautiful andneat.
