She then walked toward the Mercedes-Benz and knocked on thewindow.

The man in the car, Tobias, wound down the window and said calmly,“Get in."

Skylar opened the car door and got into the passenger's seat.

As soon as she closed the door, Tobias threw a box of medicine into herlap.

She picked it up and took a look. Plan B!

“Morning-after pills, huh? How sweet of you, Mr. Ford.”

Without hesitation, she unboxed it, popped two tablets into her mouth,and washed them down with the mineral water left in a bottle in thecar.

The expression on Tobias’ face turned slightly solemn. “You know yourstuff, don't you? Have you taken this pill before? *

“Oh yeah, I take it like my supplement. One pill a day.” Skylar rolled hereyes at him.

Tobias pinched her chin, looking intimidating. “You're not allowed tomake this kind of joke in the future. I don't like it.”

Feeling the pain, Skylar punched his arm and asked him to stop.

“The instruction is clearly written on the box. It's not like I'm illiterate!”Thinking that this explanation made sense, Tobias let go of her.

“Apply to live off-campus. You don't need to stay at the dorms!”

Yet, Skylar shook her head and replied, trying to discuss with him, “Theuniversity is too far away, and I prefer convenience, so just let me liveon campus.”

But Tobias said contemptuously, “If it's too far away, get up early. Idon't think you have the right to negotiate with me.”

At that point, Skylar wished to disappear on the spot, so she didn't haveto face this man, who had started to control her life.

With a faint smile, Tobias stroked her hair as if he were petting a petdog. “I don't need anything from you while we're together, as long asyou listen to me.”

Although he spoke in a gentle tone, it still gave Skylar goosebumps.She attempted to bargain with him, “I am not a puppet, Mr. Ford. I havemy own thoughts.”

Tobias raised his eyebrows. “And what are those? Doing stupid thingsinfinitely?”

In Tobias’ opinion, Skylar's life and what she had been through werehorrible.

Not saying another word, Skylar opened the door and got out of thecar. She found it hard to communicate with Tobias as he would notlisten to whatever she said.

He didn't continue to bother her either. Thus, she could see that hecame over just to give her the pills.

If he didn't come, she would also get it from the pharmacy. Earlier, shewas still worried that it would be awkward for her to buy it herself.While walking across the campus of Southwood Film Academy, sheheard someone calling her name.

It was Jeremy. He ran up to her panting and raised his hand to stop herin her tracks. “I thought I was seeing things. It's really you, Skylar. Whydid you come here? Are you here for me?”

“I'm here to ask you for money! When will you return them to me?”Skylar said angrily.

“Why are you behaving this way, Skylar? Is there nothing else that wecan talk about?” Jeremy asked with a frown.

Skylar nodded her head and mocked, “Yes, there's really none. To thinkthat you actually have the nerve to spend everything like you owned itrighteously. Are you not afraid of karma?”

Jeremy, who was in poor health, got annoyed at that.

With trembling shoulders, he looked at her with disappointment in hiseyes. “What happened to you, Skylar? We haven't even broken upofficially. Did you fall in love with someone else? Who was the man theother day?”

At this, Skylar narrowed her eyes slightly. “Yeah, I fell in love withsomeone else. Is there a problem? I've already made our breakup veryclear! If you think it's not official enough, we can have a farewelldinner.”

Despite that, Jeremy refused to believe that she would fall for someoneelse that soon.

The Skylar I know and love isn't like this. She most definitely won't leaveme!
