Skylar mustered up her strength before she could say that. She couldn'tbelieve her eyes. She thought Miranda was daydreaming when thelatter said with confidence that she would reconcile with Thomas. Iguess the joke is on me now.

Thomas focused on Tobias as soon as he saw him. He approachedTobias and greeted him in a friendly way.

Tobias didn't even give a nod. He despised the men who abandonedtheir families, just like how his father did to his family.

Miranda was not embarrassed at all. Instead, she looked cheerful.“Skylar, I didn't know you were discharged from the hospital. I was justtalking to your dad about you. We were talking about paying you avisit.”

“I see. So do you plan to visit me at the hospital after the movie?”Sorrow and bitterness washed over her. She couldn't accept the factthat the two of them got back together after what Thomas did toMiranda.

Thomas disdained Miranda and even forbade her to get her treatmentat the hospital after she was released on medical parole.

Skylar would rather die when she saw the two of them were in love witheach other.

If Tobias hadn't held her waist, she would've collapsed onto the floor atthe moment.

Listening to Skylar's accusation, Miranda couldn't explain herselfbecause she knew she had gone overboard.

To prevent Skylar from getting provoked again, Tobias urged her, “Themovie has started. Let's go.”

Skylar was not in the mood for a movie. Glaring at them, her eyes wereburning with anger. “Skylar, how are you feeling now?” Thomasapproached her as he asked.

Skylar closed her eyes and took a deep breath. After a few seconds, shelooked into Thomas’ eyes with a cold sneer. “You have a date with yourex-wife while your wife and children are waiting for you at home.”Provoked by her words, Miranda shouted at Skylar, “I'm your mother.How can you side with the other woman? Your dad will divorce thewoman soon. After that, we can live together happily as a family. That'llbe perfect!”

“Do as you please, but leave me alone,” Skylar uttered the wordsthrough her clenched teeth.

After dropping her words, Skylar couldn't wait to get rid of them. Sheheld Tobias's arm and headed towards the hall.

Skylar plopped herself down on the seat. Her mind was perplexed withthousands of thoughts. Looking at her grouchy face, Tobias calmly said,“Don't be mad. They know exactly what they're doing. Just let them be.Don't let it get the best of you.”

Skylar sighed and pinched her brows. “You know nothing aboutThomas’ wife. She'll wreak havoc if she replaces out the two of them go ona date behind her back. I guess she'll cause a ruckus in front of thefilming crew soon, only to give me a hard time.

“So, are you worried about yourself?” Tobias held her hand in thedarkness. His big hand made her feel warm and secured.

“I'm worried about Mom. What if they set her up and put her into jailagain? I don't really care about myself. I have a bad reputation anyway.The filming crew thinks that I got my chance through the back door. Noone believes that I made it through the audition with my own effort.”She had been caught up in multiple scandals before she becamefamous. If she became a top star one day, all these scandals wouldbecome her endless nightmares.

Tobias left a kiss on the back of her hand. She is too naive after all. Untilthis day, she still thinks that she made it through the audition all byherself.

Skylar had no idea that Tobias was one of the producers. He investedfifty million in the production in order to secure her role of the femalelead.

Skylar had been replaced once and he would not let her go throughthat again. No one could change his mind, nor get into his way.
