The bodyguard then made a phone call before turning towards heragain. “She's waiting for you in the parking lot.”

The next thing Skylar knew, she was being forcefully taken away. Herassistant was told to stay behind.

Upon arriving at the parking lot, Skylar saw Ingrid step out of a whiteLincoln limousine, dressed in a white wool sweater and a black dressunderneath.

The woman had very exquisite makeup on, but her short and chubbyfigure ruined the look.

She actually came all this way just to catch me right after I get off theplane? Talk about dedication...

Skylar thought to herself as she asked, “What's the meaning of this?Didn't we already sort things out between us back at the café? I don'tcare what your relationship with Harry is, okay? It has nothing to dowith me!”

“You called me an obsessive fan during the interview!” Ingrid snappedback at her.

Skylar lowered her gaze in an attempt to hide her nervousness. “Thatwas just a joke! Don't take it so seriously! Besides, you never actuallytold me about your relationship with Harry, so I had to make a wildguess!”

This is bad... Even if I somehow manage to run past Ingrid, I've still gotthese big strong bodyguards to worry about, and they've been eyeingme like a pack of hungry wolves the whole time... Wait... Since Ingrid isTobias’ half-sister, I can call him for help!

Skylar hurriedly pulled out her phone and gave Tobias a call.

Ingrid felt her heart skip a beat when she heard that.

Tobias stepped out of the meeting room and asked, “Where are you? I'llgo pick you up..."

The smug look on Ingrid’s face vanished the moment she recognizedhis voice.

Skylar then told him her location, and he said, “Pass Ingrid the phone.I'll have a word with her.”

Having ensured her own safety, Skylar mustered up the courage andwalked up to the other woman.

“Listen up, Ingrid. If you so much as lay a hand on her before I getthere, I'll make you pay a hundred times over!”

Ingrid had no choice but to keep her emotions in check and remainsilent as she knew she couldn't afford to defy Tobias until her father'sreturn to the country.

She then warned Skylar to stay away from Harry and threatened todisfigure her face if she didn't before leaving with her bodyguards.

If looks could kill, Skylar would've died several times over from thevicious look in Ingrid’s eyes when she made her threat.

Tobias arrived sometime later, and Skylar threw herself into his arms themoment she saw him.

Had it not been for that phone call I made, I might have been takenand raped by those men long ago! One of them was even holding athick rope in his hand!

“Jeez, look at you all shaken up... Don't worry, she won't dare hurt younow,” Tobias said while holding her tightly in his arms.

After taking a moment to calm down, Skylar mumbled, “Man, why do Ihave such bad luck? All I wanted was to boost my popularity, but all itdid was land me in all sorts of trouble!”
