Skylar thought she had something to do, but she couldn't recall it.When she started browsing her phone, she recalled the thing she hadin mind.

Thus, she asked with a frown, “Have you heard of OASIS?"

Tobias gave it a thought and answered, “I do, but what do you want?Haven't I told you I'm way too old for games? I don't have time forgames as well.”

Shaking her head, she said, “I'm not asking you to play the game withme, but I want to know if the company has a refund policy forteenagers who have spent the entire family savings to play the game?”She never once expressed her concerns over his business. Therefore, hewas confused by the reason she had brought it up out of the blue.

"Am I really supposed to answer such a simple question?”

She arched her brows in confusion because he directed the rhetoricalquestion at her with a scornful look. As a result, she thought somethingwas wrong with their method of communication.

“Dear Mr. Ford, if you have a few minutes to spare, can you pleaseanswer the question?” She wrapped her arms around his waist andasked in a coquettish manner.

Tobias then told her to cut the small talk because he found herirritating. “Why don’t you just spill it? I think it's better for you to stopwasting our time.”

Since he managed to see right through her plan once again, she had nochoice but to tell him the things that had occurred with Kevin, includingKevin's age.

To her surprise, Tobias replied, “Technically, he's no longer a minor. Inother words, he has to bear the consequences of his action. We won'tbe able to refund him. It's not the sum that matters, but others willfollow suit if the public is conscious we have made an exception forhim. His parents can't really blame us either. As a matter of fact, it'stheir fault for not educating their son.”

Skylar found Tobias’ words reasonable because of the potentialconsequences associated with refunding the amount Kevin had spent.However, she was afraid Sharon would make a fuss out of it.

Since she wouldn't stop frowning, he asserted with a smile, “With thatbeing said, I'll make an exception and get someone to refund them, butis it necessary for you to visit me in person for such a trivial matter? Youcan just tell me about it on the phone.”

She let out a long sigh and explained, “I'm so sorry for the trouble Ihave caused. Initially, I was against the idea of refunding, but I'm afraidthey're going to turn our lives upside down if they don't get the refund.I don't mind compensating them for their loss, but I don't have theamount they're demanding.”

It's getting late. If we're going to refund them through the officialchannel, it will only reach them tomorrow afternoon.

Skylar was about to share the news with Sharon and Wesley, but Tobiasgot up from the couch.

Upon a glimpse at his watch, he announced, “I need to return to thecompany in the evening. Are you able to fall asleep when I'm notaround? I don’t mind keeping you company until you fall asleep.”Skylar shrugged her shoulders and said, “Nah, I have long gotten usedto sleeping alone because you're only around for a few days in amonth. Since you're working nocturnal hours, what about your assistantand secretary? Do they not get to rest as well?”

“What? Are you shocked? You don't think they get to earn a fortune fordoing nothing, do you?” Tobias asked in return

She showed him the way out and took a peek at the cut. “My first-everhistorical fiction drama is about to play. Why don't you check on itwhen you're free? As my boyfriend, don’t you think you're supposed toshow me your support? I can use some help to boost the viewership.”Smirking, he said, “I'll check on it if I'm free, but I'm not really a fanbecause-"

Halfway through his speech, Skylar stopped Tobias from finishing hisorated and time-consuming speech, deeming it a waste of her time.
