Kevin snickered, “Of course, you don't need to do anything. You andTobias are indeed a simpatico pair, playing the “good cop, bad cop’,huh? He threatened me with Eva's job. You know how selfish Eva is, soit's impossible that she'll sacrifice her job for me. If I don't post that onTwitter, she is never going to forgive me. I really shouldn't havecounted on you to help me.”

Skylar finally got her head around it. No wonder Kevin admitted sosoon. It turns out that he was under Tobias’ coercion. Skylar was reallydisappointed in Kevin's attitude.

Hanging up the phone, Skylar could hear someone calling out hername. Hence, she handed her phone to Hannah.

Hannah took over the phone and was notably excited. “It's an ill wind,isn't it? You were right to remain silent and not clarify or explainanything. Now everyone is saying that you're gracious and big-hearted.”

Nevertheless, Skylar wasn't pleased at all. Watching Skylar's placidcountenance, Hannah pursed her lips, covering up her own smile.Skylar changed into a workshop uniform from the eighties and a pair ofgreen rubber boots. She didn't have bountiful hair, so the stylist put onhair extensions for her which were two thick and dark braids.

Looking at her own reflection in the mirror, Skylar found herself lookingvery identical to Meredith when she was young. Meredith used to workin a sand quarry, doing the most tiring and physical works that men do,and never really had a good life.

She took out her phone and sent a selfie to Tobias on WhatsApp, justto replace that the message could not go through.

Skylar's eyes widened in surprise. What's happening? Have I beenblocked by Tobias?

She hurriedly made a call to Tobias before the filming started.

As soon as it was picked up from the other end, Skylar raised her toneand questioned, “Why did you block me? I didn't offend you, did 1? Wasit because I didn't satisfy your lust in the car that day? Tobias, I didn'tknow you're such a petty man. Why aren't you talking? Fine, sinceyou've blocked me, then don't unblock ever again.”

She despised being blocked or blacklisted from someone's contact themost, especially if the blocker was her closest friend or relative. Hence,she just lashed out without thinking much.

However, as soon as she said that, she was repentant. She glancedabout and was relieved that there was no one around. She felt that hertemper had worsened due to her tight schedule and lack of rest. A littledispleasure could trigger her easily, setting her on rage.

It was only yesterday that Tobias joked that she was like a woman onmenopause, so naggy and chatty.

Tobias’ phone was connected to the projector screen in the conferenceroom. When Skylar texted him on WhatsApp last time, it was just like alive stream.

Therefore, this time around, he was preparing to block and thenunblock her again after the meeting, but he didn’t expect that Skylarwould be so generous to let everyone in the conference room knowthat he wanted to hump in the car.

The air in the conference room froze all of a sudden and theatmosphere was so tense one could cut it with a knife. The seniormanagers of the company drooped their heads lowly and somecouldn't help but laugh secretly.

Whoa, so Mr. Ford who usually looks decent and even abstinent on theveneer has such a kinky taste.

Tobias closed his eyes and drew in a long breath. His face lookedextremely grim in that instance.

Seeing as Tobias didn't say anything, Skylar thought that he was havinga bad signal so she ended the call.

Eva was preparing the meeting agenda and minutes on the side, and asshe saw the gloomy expression on Tobias’ face, she was secretlydelighted.

No matter how glamorous Skylar looks, she isn't really sophisticated,and now that she has cheesed the boss off, she won't be able to getaway with it.

Eva couldn't wait to see Skylar being dumped by Tobias. Let's see howlong she can go about swaggering and showing off.

Tobias started placidly after a while, “Let's get this meeting started andend earlier, hurry up.”
