Zay’s POV

“So you just do a regular knot at the end? There isn’t some kind of special knot that has to be done?” I giggled at Celeste’s question. Xavier didn’t want her to worry with helping with all of his work but he also didn’t want her to be bored. Celeste didn’t want to be away from Xavier though so she decided to help me. I was currently teaching her how to stitch up a wound and I have to say that she is a natural.

“Celeste, why did you want to help me? Besides the fact that you wanted to stay close to Xavier.” She looked confused for a moment and then her eyes softened. She blinked before looking up at me with a sad smile.

“My mom used to do this. It was the Beta Females job at my old pack. She took me with her once. A guy had a broken bone and it was popping out of his skin. I threw up of course,” she said with a chuckle. “I just wanted a way to stay close to my parents that’s all.”

I put my hand on her arm and gave her a small smile. “I think that they would be proud of you.” She smiled a wide and beautiful smile and looked back down to where she was stitching up a fake wound. We had a bunch of fake things to help with the medical training. Only Celeste doesn’t have to take a class for it like most would.

All wolves decide what they want to do in high school then they take a class for it. If it is a warrior, then they have a training session with the head warrior everyday after school. I took a class at the packs high school for medical training, both human and werewolf. I was the only one in the class, so I was taught personally by the pack doctor. He died a while ago though. He lived a long, good life though. And Celeste, while she lacks in many skills that you would be taught in school, she would not go. It was away from Xavier, even the place where you take classes privately, and neither of them wanted that.

Xavier and Celeste are really good for each other. Xavier had been my best friend for forever and I have never seen him as happy as he is when he is with Celeste. And while I haven’t known Celeste for very long I can tell that she is very good for him. I am going to hate to see what happens when they are apart for the first time.

I have met mates before who never separated since they met and when they did for the first time, one of them got awfully sick. It is usually the female who gets sick and the male gets angry, like really angry. And with Alphas and Lunas, I can only guess that it would be worse. It was worse for Betas than it is for a regular pack member so I would only assume that it was horrible for an Alpha and Luna.

“Doctor Zay.” I looked up to see Lesa. By now she had a small baby bump that would get bigger soon. Werewolves are only pregnant for four to five months before they give birth. Lesa is a month pregnant now and she is absolutely glowing.

“Hello Lesa, how are you today?” She smiled, a real smile. She didn’t smile for at least a week after she rejected Christopher. The fact that he escaped only made it worse. She was scared that he was going to try and take the baby. She moved into a house closer to the pack house so she could be protected easier if needed.

“I’m good. The baby has started to kick.”

“Does it hurt?” Lesa and I both looked towards Celeste. “The kicking, I mean.” I smiled at her.

“Not really. It only bothers me at night when I am trying to sleep and this little guy is constantly keeping me up.” She put her hands on her stomach and started to smile a huge smile. She smirked and moved her hand. “He’s kicking right now. Do you want to feel?” Celeste looked unsure for a moment, playing with the sleeve of her light sweater, but nodded. She reached her hand forward and smiled.

“So what can I do for you Lesa?” She moved closer and sat on the bed.

“As much as I love this baby, it really is complicated to sleep. I was wondering if there was anything that you could give me anything that could help me sleep but not hurt the baby.” I thought for a moment before smiling.

“Have you tried to drink a warm cup of tea before you go to sleep?” She shook her head.

“Isn’t that a human thing?”

“Yes, but right now that little boy growing inside of you is just a fast growing human. Try it, and if it doesn’t work come back here and I’ll give you something. Okay?” She nodded a smile on her face.

“Thank you. I better get home now. I am still decorating the baby room.” I nodded. Her, Celeste, and I bid farewell to each other and she walked out of the room.

“I better get going too. It’s five, Xavier is usually done with his Alpha duties right about now.” I nodded and she walked out of the office. I started to clean up, putting everything back in it’s rightful place.

“You know it is really nice of you to take the girl in and teach her.” My head snapped up to see Kaleshia, her completely blue eyes shining brightly.

“It is also nice to see you, it is a shame that others don’t feel that exact way. Because I am the only one who will ever feel this happy to see you.” I got up and pulled her to me, hugging her tightly. “Where have you been?”

“On a business trip. A few Alphas hired me to create a magical barrier around their lands to keep the rogues away.”

“Well next time tell them that they can wait. Because, my darling, I can’t wait for you. I get worried out of my mind when I don’t see you.”

“I too, my love, feel the same way.” She pulled away only to place a sweet and gentle k**s on my lips.

“Now that is a good way to say hello. Come one, let’s go upstairs.” I lead her upstairs to where our room was and walked inside.

“Are you hungry darling?” She licked her lips looking at me. Magi feed off of l**t and love. Of course they can eat any other species food, except for greater demons’ food. Greater demons’ food is b***d of a child. That would not only sicken a magi, but it is against their laws.

“I’m starving.” That being said I kissed her, pouring as much of my love into it as I could. I started to k**s her neck as she pushed me back onto the bed. I wouldn’t mind giving her a full meal anytime.
